Very forgiving shoe -
My feet are two different sizes and it is hard to find shoes that fit. These shoes are great though. I bought them in the correct size for my smaller foot and they fit both feet perfectly and the arches line up with both, which is often a big problem. They are comfortable, too!

I can't wear it.
The shoe is ok. It was not as comfortable as others I have had. It also caused foot cramps. I wore it for a week and the cramps got worse, culminating in the worst cramps I have ever experienced. (I take medicine for it) I quit wearing them and the cramps subsided.

Looks Better than expected -
I was afraid the front toe would look a little funny but was determined to get a comfortable mule that did not look like a slipper...the shoe in fact is not only comfortable but it looks young and attractive. My wide foot does not even look as big as most mules make them look! Great w/ Jeans and slacks!!

Winner for high arches -
This shoe is out-of-the box comfortable, which surprised me. SoftWalk, and their parent, both tend to use a last with too low an instep/arch area for me. But the little "v" slit, the relatively low rise of the vamp, and the lack of a lining and top-line binding all combine with the cushy egg-crate footbed to make a mule/clog even more comfortable than my Munro America ones.
The look is just a little short of sleek - what's with that toe cap?! But otherwise, it does look good - the outer part isn't lined or padded, so it doesn't look bulky.
Good service and no separate delivery/handling charge - very attractive.

Nice shoe, but quickly stretches -
I am enjoying the shoe, but much too quickly, the shoe stretched. I really need a 5 narrow, so this is always a consideration for me.

Real comfort -
I really love this shoe. It is one of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. I especially like the lining and footbed which seems to have little bubbles of air to pamper my feet. The shoe also hugs my foot which makes it feel snug and comfortable.

Spectacular shoe!!!
I absolutely LOVE this shoe!! So far, I have purchased 4 pair and will purchase more if my size becomes available in the colors I want. This shoe is sized well and is a perfect fit for narrow feet - and if you have narrow feet, you know how difficult it is to find shoes that fit. The leather is soft and the style is very comfortable. My advice is to get it while you can!

They're comfortable, but I feel like I'm wearing grandma shoes. I'll wear them to work, but that's it. Good quality though.

Did not need to order longer or wider than my usual size. Fit perfectly on 8 1/2 double wide and very comfortable to slip on and dash away. Made a mistake on my first order and ordered half size longer which I did not need to do. As the 8 1/2 would have been perfect and super comfortable.

Style and Comfort -
I have foot injuries so it is difficult to find a shoe that works for me. This shoe has a soft foot bed and is a good fit. The leather on top is a little stiff, but I am hoping it will soften some. I have two other pairs in this style and they have worked. There is very little arch support so I have put poster putty in to give me some support in that area.

Not a good shoe for long distance walking -
I ordered this shoe to take to Paris, knowing that we would be doing 5-8 miles of walking a day. I was good for normal wear, but when worn for long distances all day, it rubbed blisters on the tops of my toes.

Plastic-y and strange -
I ordered these and am sending them back. (Great policy, Zappos!) They're slippery and plastic-y when worn with socks and sticky and plastic-y when worn with bare feet. The egg crate sole is very squashy over a hard bed, making me bottom-out with every step. I can't help but think that when that padding is worn out, the shoes will be hard and uncomfortable. They look a little too much like bedroom slippers on my feet.

Most comfortable shoe ever -
A friend purchased this as a "trade show" shoe, so several of us followed suit. I mistakenly ordered a regular width first, which I exchanged for a wide width - perfect. Not a "high fashion" shoe by any means, but with slacks it is the perfect choice for all-day walking.

It is a beautiful shoe -
This shoe is even nicer looking than I expected.
The cushion on the inside is fabulous.
I am a little disappointed because it runs a little big.
Not being sure if it comes in a smaller size, I will keep it, (I usually wear a 4.5 or 5) and wear a heavier sock with it.

I love these shoes!
I have been plagued with foot problems for many years and have had multiple surgeries. This is my third pair of SoftWalks. The San Mateo style was comfortable immediately and stays comfortable even after I've walked or been on my feet for awhile. I have not found another brand as consistently comfortable; I can recommend these shoes without hesitation.

Comfy, polished looks -
This is my second pair of San Mateos. Wore out the first pair from the inside. Was introduced to this comfy shoe and style with a light nubuck pair, which showed stains easily (but did get them on sale).
This time paid the extra money and sprung for polished, black leather and they look a bit dressier, but still look great worn with jeans or capris.
The thing to know about this shoe and SoftWalk's, is that you have to wear them around the house for a week to break in the "whoosh" factor. Once the foam has molded to your foot, you don't get the "whoosh" noise, which can be rather entertaining to small children and husbands.
Would love to see this style offered in white leather for spring fashions.

I am on my feet all day. I was having discomfort in my feet. These shoes are very comfortable and my feet do not hurt. They also make my foot look narrow-I wear EE.

I didn't even have time to check my email at work to be notified of it. The shoes just arrived the very next day from when we ordered them in perfect condition. Very well packaged. And we'd ordered them AFTER 9 pm, the evening before. So for them to get there the very next day was incredible. We will definitely be using Zappos again in the future! The pricing was right as well.
