Ariat Terrain - I've worn my boots for 9 months of casual wear and short hikes with very little break in time. I assumed they were waterproof, but found out otherwise on a 13+ mile Alaska hike. I was disappointed with wet feet, but no blisters! I was surprised and happy. I have thin feet with high arch, so often have problems with shoe fit.

Ariat Terrain - These have a seam running across the back of the heel that gave me huge, painful blisters on both feet. They started hurting my heels after the first mile of hiking; even wearing two pairs of socks didn't help. I wore them for one hike and I am never going to wear them again. Also, these do run big; I'm usually a 9.5/10 and I fit into an 8.5.

Very comfortable from Day One, even after 8 hours+ of being on cement floors. Nice looking boot, but personally would prefer all one color. Will definitely order another pair.

Fourth Pair -
My daughter leads ponies at parties and is training her horse. She usually wears wide shoes but these fit great and are comfortable for many hours on her feet. This is her third pair and I bought myself a pair as well- love them! A pair will last my daughter a year and she wears them everyday at the barn.

Love, love, love these boots!!! So comfy from day one. Zero break-in time needed. I wore them all over Ireland on vacation and horseback riding as well. Can't say enough about them!

Great long lasting comfortable wearing boot -
I had my last pair for 8+ years before they finally gave it up. I wore them in rain, snow, mud, and everyday. I just got a new pair from Zappos and they were cheaper than what I paid locally at the saddle shop.

There is a seam at the back of shoe above the heel which bothered me my first few outings but once I wore that in the shoe was great.

Ariat Rocks -
If you ever were concerned about buying a pair of shoes online, just buy Ariats. I have never bought a pair that didn't fit perfectly and measure up to my expectations. They are light enough to wear all day- haven't try them in the heat or cold yet. I also love that I didn't have to break them in.

Walking on clouds!!
I have bought many boots on the past and I have to break each one with my poor feet, I was very impress with the comfort of this ones, as soon as I received the boots put them on and went to work for a straight 6 hours, WOW! My feet were not hurt at all. I'm an 8.5 and order 8 and they were perfect, I order another pair before they sold out, excellent boots!!

Great boots!
These are great all-purpose boots for rugged terrain. I think they were designed for horse training or something, but I use them for everyday in the desert. The tops fit close and keep out the stickers. Great support and no break-in period. Just put them on and loved them. I will buy more! They look good, too.

Wonderful sturdy boot -
This is a boot that can be worn all day - it's very comfortable, but I have to wear it with two pair of socks. The sizes run quite large. My husband is having the same experience with his Ariat Terrain boots.

I own 3 pair, buy them whenever I see them on sale. I keep one for barn work, the other 2 are for hiking or casual wear. If I only I could wear them with a skirt to work! Great shoe to wear all day.

Absolutely love this shoe!
I have hard to fit feet and this is by far one of the best fitting and most comfortable walking/hiking boots I have tried. Fit like a glove first time on with no break in period.

This was my first time ordering shoes by mail--I initially had the wrong size, sense I should have believed my own sizing instead of sales person locally when they measured my foot. This is my first real riding/out doorsie shoe and I have not complaints...very pleased with customer service and the return/exchange system and the e-mail updates.

A very substantial shoe and very light weight. Protects my feet from the rocks and slushy snow we have in my area. I wore them with a long denim skirt and they were real cute! Got lot of complients.

Love 'Em!
I have owned these boots for a couple of years now and they are fantastic. They are cool enough to wear in the summer, but also warm enough to wear in the winter with a couple of pairs of socks. They run about a half size large, but that is great if you need to layer in the winter. My only complaint is that if you are using these for horse back riding, they are a little too bulky for my liking and can get stuck in the iron when dismounting or falling off.

Wore these wonderful shoes for 10 days in a row in Wyoming (Cheyenne Frontier Days) walking on gravel and uneven surfaces, from 7:30 AM to 11 PM EVERY DAY. My feet felt wonderful and I am once again sold on the Ariat shoes. Bought two more pair and perhaps you will never catch me in another brand of shoe again!!

Love from first wearing!
I work in a Home Improvement Store 8-9 hours a day on concrete, usually at the end of the day my feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk -these boots are an answer to my prayers - they fit great, look great and best of all my feet don't hurt anymore! I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who has to stand on concrete floors all day.

I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever.
