These shoes were nothing like I expected. I usually love Keens, but these were terrible! The shoes have a ridge in them, which I think is for when the sandal gets wet so your foot doesn't slide around in the sandal. I think it's supposed to sit between your toes and the ball of your foot. My toes sat on this ridge and it made my toes fall asleep. I would think I'd gotten the wrong size except I got half a size bigger than I normally wear and the shoes felt uncomfortably tight. If I'd gotten a bigger size I think the ridge would have been even worse. I hate to say it, but I didn't like anything about these shoes. The top of the sandal is made of a combination of a rubber like fabric and a regular string weave fabric. The plastic like fabric is fine, but the regular cloth weave fabric, I believe, will start to smell after awhile. However, Zappos was great.

These Keen sandals are great once you’ve broken them in. They are somewhat stiff at first. I’d otherwise recommend that if you purchase them and expect to wear them right out of the box, buy them a half size up (larger) than your normal shoe size. I own a few other styles of Keen sandals and I generally like the brand; they are reliable, functional, and stylish.

Great Shoe!
Loved the Keen Newport H2! Very comfortable and durable. Used hiking and walking through water. The great part is just putting them in the sink and washing when they get dirty. Only negative is that these shoes seem to make your feet hot.

I love how Zappos sends you their tracking number and the shoe arrives before you have a chance try to track it! Great job, Zappos. I am taking a vacation in March to Hawaii and I really need something like this. I have tried this on before and I'm pretty sure it will work out okay. I have narrower feet, small bunions, and my feet are shallow, but because you can cinch up that bungee cord thing, it just wraps nicely around my feet. This is the second pair of Keen's that I have, and my feet are fairly happy now. I worked in a shoe store for 6 mos and we sold a lot of Keen shoes. And yes, they run small, so order at least 1/2 size bigger than you need.

The Keen Newport shoes were purchased in anticipation of a vacation in Hawaii. We will be doing a lot of walking so I am breaking them in on my treadmill. They give wonderful support and are comfortable. I look forward to seeing how they hold up to the sand and surf.

These shoes are incredible!
My Keen sandals were well worth the investment. I have had these incredible sandals for nearly two years. I was a camp counselor in CO and WA two summers in a row, and I wore these shoes practically every day. These sandals were great for white water rafting and walking. When they get dirty, I just wear them in the shower and the dirt washes right off. My shoes look practically new, two years later! You will be glad you invested in such a comfortable and practical piece of footwear.

These shoes, like all my Keens, are the epitome of comfort. The color is great with jeans, which is why I bought them, and they do not disappoint. They feel true to size, and socks are not necessary 3/4 of the year with these shoes, and they are certainly cooler on the feet in the summer and warmer fall and spring days. I would recommend Keens and Zappos to anyone.

There is a ridge right behind the toes that felt odd. Then it inflamed. I'm back to my old shoes trying to recover. I hope I can return them but I'm worried about what to choose next. Everything else about this shoe is fantastic. I love how protected my toes are and the room for my toes to breath. They felt the best with a thin pair of socks. The shape is a bit clownish but it fits my personality. I received many compliments. They are very stable for my pronating feet. But, I had to cancel a hike due to the damage done to my feet from these shoes.

Good outdoor shoes -
This was my first pair of Keens, and I really like them. They offer a lot of protection for my feet and the width is adjustable. I didn't find that the heel strap pushed my foot forward as other users said. The only thing that I did notice (and why I gave them 4 stars for comfort) is that the sole seems to be higher under the outside of my foot -- sort of the opposite of an arch support, which would be under the inner part of my foot. Overall, though, they are comfortable and easy to walk in. I used them river rafting and biking. I normally wear a 9.5/10, and the 10 fit fine.

This sandal is so comfortable. It fits a little wide and a half size smaller than my normal shoe size, so order appropriately. I bought them to wear for an outdoor adventure trip I am going on and thought I would get them a month early to break them in, but no break in was necessary. I am very tall and a little heavy so I like a shoe that has very good stability and this one does. It feels a little heavy so if you are looking for a light sandal this is not the one for you, but since I want a sandal that looks great, is comfortable and can handle a little abuse it is perfect for me.

I got these for my Europe Disney & camping in France trip, a friend recommended them, I LOVE THEM! I have problems with planner fasciitis and I was worried that these were not going to live up to the hype, well they did, in 5 days of walking, hiking, camping they were great. I wore socks with them part of the time when it was cooler, and they were still great!

Nice sneaker type of shoe -
I love Keens, but this shoe is kind of hot and makes the soles of my feet sweaty. It is comfortable despite the heat. I have fussy feet that go numb in places when a shoe isn't perfect and this shoe is not a perfect fit, but it will do and I do enjoy them. To me they seem more like a sneaker than a sandal.

These shoes are great--wearing them to wait tables in for the summer. I wanted shoes that I can wear that are closed toe and without socks. I usually wear an 8-8 1/2. I needed the nine because the ankle strap holds your foot closer to the front of the shoe. All in all worth every penny. Zappos is awesome!

Not for high insteps -
I ordered a size bigger, and the length was fine, but the straps bound my foot too tightly across the top of my foot. The bungee cord on top is adjustable, but was still not long enough for comfort. I wore this for amphibious hiking, and was annoyed that tiny stones got lodged under my foot. Also when worn for extended periods the shoe begins to stink. I'm sure this shoe is great for a lot of people, but it was not for me. A more adjustable shoe will serve me better.

Love these, despite "shortcomings."
I bought these to use while kayaking, but also found they are very comfortable to use as walking shoes. I'm old enough that I don't care if it’s not cool to wear socks with them while walking on dry land, including trails through the woods. With some of my other shoes, I twist my ankle, on occasion, while on uneven surfaces. Not with these. Overall, these were worth every penny, despite 2 shortcomings:
1) I think they take a long time to dry. They are still wet in the morning, except if I am able to dry them in the sun for the afternoon. 2) They are not easy and fast to get on and off, like my water sandals that have straps that snap/unsnap. But I can count on my feet being held secure in these, so I don't mind.

Great walker -
I teach preschool and stand all day. I have been wearing Danskos a lot, but wanted something sportier for field trips and play days. These are remarkable shoes. I highly recommend them. Not the fancies shoe on the market, but certainly comfortable.

These shoes are comfortable. They run small. I normally wear a 6 1/2 or 7, and I had to order a 7 1/2. Even an 8 would've probably worked. I can wear them w/out socks, or w/thinner socks, but no way with socks, that's disappointing. I'd need a bigger size. I love the way they look, and am overall satisfied with them. We'll see how they do long term, I’ve only had them a couple weeks.

Funky comfort -
After reading reviews on Zappos.com, I ordered a half size larger than my normal shoe size of 7.5. I received the size 8 and it fit wonderful everywhere except the toe area. I decided to keep the 8, but ordered the 8.5 to see the difference and the 8.5 ended up working out better for me. (Zappos’ return service is great, so I returned the 8 with no problem). I have a narrow foot and the 8.5 feels loose around the ankle, but I just tighten the cords as tight as they will go and it's fine. I have worn my Keens camping and around outside and they are great so far. They do make my feet sweat, but I've gotten used to it. They are not the most attractive shoe, but I think they are kind of funky cute and the comfort outweighs their look anyway.

This shoe is great! I have a severe ankle injury where I broke my ankle and had to have surgical plates and screws placed in it to fix the break. I am limited on what shoes I can wear and these support the ankle and are very comfortable as well as stylish. I will probably be ordering these in another color. The ordering process was easy and they were on my doorstep in 2 days. Unreal, you just can't ask for more. I am so glad my friend shared Zappos with me. You can wear these all day and live in pure comfort.

Great shoe, very comfortable, good support. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Size is about a half size smaller than it should be. I wear a standard size 8 women's, but had to return it to get the 8.5, which fit fine. Zappos’ return policy is exceptional.

Your feet will love you -
If you are looking for your first pair of Keens choose these shoes. If your feet bother you, these shoes will probably be very good choice. Be sure and order half a size larger because they do run small. I have gotten compliments from people on the way they look too. The sole is very springy and they help you keep your balance, even over gravel. They are durable and you can rinse them off easily if you get them dirty. Even my 86 year old grandmother liked them and she ordered a pair in purple. I ordered a sort of wine colored. My grandmother commented that they even do not bother the corn she has on her outer foot because the shoe has an opening there. I have had some recent foot problems and these were the only shoe I could tolerate. These shoes are very nice and durable. A little tight to slip the back strap on first time, but no problem after a couple times. Zappos was great and extremely fast delivery. I ordered another pair of shoes I didn’t like and they refunded me immediately. Order the Newport H2's you won’t be sorry.

Best shoes I've ever owned - no joke!
I have owned this shoe for three or four seasons, and everywhere I go, I get asked about them. They are the best all-purpose shoe made, I believe. They provide excellent arch support, are miraculously durable, easy to keep clean, require NO break-in and even look great once you get used to the chunky Keen look. I have sold a lot of shoes for Keen by wearing them everywhere and answering peoples' questions about them. Do not buy a knock-off. This is the best money you can spend on a shoe. You will love 'em!

Comfortable & Gets You Some Looks!
I have plantar fasciitis which flares in both feet so I must have comfortable shoes. These definitely fit my requirements, plus they are adorable. People stop me all the time to ask me who makes them. I don't think you'll regret buying these great sandals.
