Amazingly comfortable!
I work at a library and we are not allowed to wear open-toed shoes, so I am always on the lookout for sandals with covered toes. A co-worker had on a pair of Keen sandals and I liked their chunky look, so I ordered a pair from Zappos. From the first day, they were extremely comfortable. Like many other purchasers, I bought them a half-size larger than I normally wear. I usually wear a narrow shoe, and the Newports are a little wide in the heel area, but not enough to make them sloppy when walking. I wore them to an all-day picnic where I was on my feet most of the day, and I felt great! My feet and legs were not tired at all. My next pair of Keen's will be the camo/apricot Venice style. I also shipped a pair as a surprise to a friend who stands most of the day at work. Love, love, love the free fast shipping from Zappos!

Love the look and thought I loved the fit- but I took a long walk and they actually have a ridge that hit around the bottom of my heel that was irritating to my foot and also blistered. I am not sure if maybe I needed a 1/2 size bigger so that wouldn't happen? They are a wide fit. But it is worth a try for me to try again.

Keen Newport sandals -
This is my second pair of Newport sandals. I am a very normal 6 1/2 shoe. The first pair I bought was the Kid's Newport in a Youth 5. I loved them for walking, camping, pool etc. and wanted another color. I just bought the Women's Newport in a 6 1/2, but they were too small. I reordered a 7, and they are perfect. If your feet sweat a lot, I would recommend the Women's Newport over the kid's(if you fit in the small sizes). The footbed is much nicer and absorbs sweat. Of course we all love Zappos great customer service!

Only shoe I can comfortably wear -
I was in an automobile accident last year where I broke both my legs and ankles. I tried Keen's because my legs, feet and ankles were swelling and very painful. I have been wearing them ever since. I have periodically tried other brands of shoes but after about 15 minutes return to the Keens/ I have two pairs of Newports and just ordered two pairs of Vancouver. I would have ordered three but the black are hard to come by in my size. They do run short in length and I take a bigger size - i do not believe this is because of the accident. For whatever reason I can walk with better balance and stability and less pain in Keen's. I have been recommending them to everyone I know. They do look a bit chunky but comfort certainly outweighs any 'look' issue.

Great Shoes for Troubled Feet-
This shoe is a near miracle. In 1978 I was hit by a train and had both legs broken in several places. Now I'm experiencing arthritis in my left ankle from a severe fracture. Docs want to fuse the foot. I've been wearing Birkenstocks for 4yrs, and ouch, what pain. I've tried all sorts of shoes (mostly Euro shoes) looking for comfort and support. After reading all of the accolades for Keens, I thought I'd give them a try. So far, this is the ONLY shoe that doesn't leave me limping and hobbling. I usually wear a 6 or 6.5. I went with the 6.5. It did take a few days break in period. I wear them with and without socks. At night after wearing Birkenstocks, my legs would ache to the point of having to wear leg warmers (even in the summer in the South) and take Advil. Not with the Newport Keens. My mother who is 86 and is recuperating from a pelvic fracture is now wearing them. I can't wait to try other styles!!!

No Break In Time!
I love this shoe! This shoe is so comfortable.
There was no break in time at all. Plus I have
received more compliments when I wear it.
I also have the Keen Newport H2,the waterproof
version of this shoe. I am a personal trainer
and my feet get too hot in gym shoes. These shoes
keep my feet cool and comfy and looking good.
Also give me the support that I need all day.

Best sandal on the market -
Now that I am retired and "out of uniform," I wear sandals all day, every day and for athletic activity as well. I have never found a sandal--or any shoe--this comfortable before. I love the way they adjust.

LOVE THIS SANDAL!
My boyfriend and I both got a pair of Newports and they are fantastic, we love them. (this is my third pair of keens) They are really comfortable, and easy, not to mention attractive and fun. We go hiking, canoeing (they're waterproof), and out to dinner all in the same shoes. As always Zappos was extremely quick to deliver, the shoes arrived about 24 hours after ordered. You guys rock! Newport was my first Keen shoe and I loved it so much that I ordered a pair of Monterreys, however they ran a good bit bigger for some reason and I had to send them back. So I ordered another pair of Newports in a different color and I love them too!

The Best!
The Newport is a fantastic shoe! It has to be one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I received my order from Zappos within 24 hours! I wear an 8 to 8.5. I ordered an 8.5 and it's a perfect fit.

Newport sandal -
I have a large (11 and could use 12 at times) foot, narrow heel, wide across the ball of the foot,and many problems,(Raynaud's, neuropathy i.e.,very sensitive, painful, numb,burning, swollen feet. With that said the Newport is all I have been able to wear this summer. The elastic has allowed me to release the straps and have a looser shoe when the swelling comes. Sole has good grip another must so falling is lessened. Straps are soft--a perfect shoe.

Love this all-purpose sandal/shoe -
I needed an all purpose shoe/sandal for my trip to Alaska and this shoe fit the bill! In fact, I really noticed how many people, both men/women, were wearing this shoe. I purchased an 8-1/2 not knowing if it would stretch out, which it does do.
So I may try an 8 next time, if these ever wear out, which I doubt...maybe will just have to buy another color!
I hiked in this shoe and got it wet; used it on long flights as it is easy to get on/off; and just generally wore it straight from the box for two weeks with and without socks.
I have a very wide feet and this shoe fits my foot; don't know how it would work on someone with a narrow foot though. It is extremely easy to fit to your foot...just draw up on the elastic laces. Excellent arch support, which is extremely important to me as I suffer from very high arches.
All in all, I don't think you could get a better shoe for walking; hiking etc.
Fashion wise it is so ugly it's cute!!!

Just getting into them...
I bought my new Keens after a rave review from a friend. When I got them, (the next day) from Zappos, I was nervous, because they looked kind of goofy on my feet. They felt comfy and wonderful, but I just couldn't find the right thing to wear them with. So I started wearing them on the weekends and now I am getting more into how comfy they feel as opposed to how they look. I can't wait to wear them on a trip through Guatemala this summer!

I’ve heard only wonderful things about Keen shoes for almost a year now, but as a mother of twins, in a new house, couldn’t justify spending that amount of money on myself for ‘sandals’. After repeatedly torturing myself via your web site, I finally caved…and truly have NOT been at all disappointed. I received the shoes shortly after placing my order and the size is perfect. They’re exceptionally comfortable and no break-in period was required whatsoever. Keen’s Newport sandals/shoes are just funky enough to generate compliments, yet perfectly appropriate for quite a wide variety of occasions. In fact, I just returned from a weekend stay at a resort, and my Keens are the only shoe I packed and needed no others! 4th keen I have, 1st sandal, must wear socks w/ them!!
This is my 4th pair of keens purchased in approx. the last year & a half. I needed a summer sandal so I had to try my favorite Keen Brand!
Overall comfort was awesome as usual, THEN. . . to my absolute shock and despair the Newport Sandal started to hurt my L pinky toe (only L), no blister formed because I started wearing socks in order to avoid it's full development. After wearing socks however, the pain went away.
Still love the sandal though, and I'm hopeful that it will all work out for the best!
Zappos has outstanding customer service and they’ve earned my vote because of it!
I have also recommended this site (Zappos.com) to my Friends and Family. Funny actually, my Mom is the one who recommended the Zappo's site to me!

I love these shoes, very cool looking and I receive many compliments on them. You need to order 1/2 size bigger then normal, they run a bit smaller then most shoes. I would recommend these. They look great with shorts / and or pants.

Newport Rocks!
After struggling to find the right fit with the Newport H2, I turned to the Newport. A half-size bigger than my normal 9, the 9.5 fit beautifully, and after a mere twnety minutes of wear, broke in to become my most comfortable shoes. So ugly they are cute/cool, they are fun to wear, and I do love them. They are a little hot in the hot weather, though, but are go anywhere shoes. Sand and gravel does not clear out of them (the inside) - you have to take them totally off, but they are a nice camping/park/city/light yse water shoe. Enjoy!

First Pair of Keen's but Not the Last!
Saw Keen's advertised for the first time in an LL Bean catalog. Knew that if I ordered them through Bean and they didn't fit I'd have to send them back at my expense. So I checked out Zappos and saw they had a pair that looked nice and I ordered. Well, they are probably one of the most comfortable pair of sandals I've ever owned. The adjustable draw cord makes them almost a custom fit. And you can bang the toe bed against anything and they keep looking great. Maybe expensive, but worth the money so far. I'll buy Keen again. And Zappos, once again, delivered quickly.

This is the best shoe I have ever had. I am very active which has caused me lots of foot problems. Newport was the first Keen I bought and it has been the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I hike, bike and even do aerobic exercise in this shoe. I highly recommend this shoe. I now own other Keen shoes and they are equally awesome shoes.

Different looking!

I sent a request for suggestions for sandals that will fit my feet-narrow heels, wider toe, AND have an insole that I can fit a heel wedge beneath AND provide support because I have plantar fasciitis. I got a reply listing about 15 choices. I bought one, a NAOT sandal, and they are the most comfortable shoes (not just the most comfortable sandals) I have ever worn! My feet do not hurt and I can walk long distances in them even though they have no heel strap and only 2 straps across the foot! The style is Karaoke, and they don't seem to be available, but I will definitely try other styles!
