I wear a size 10.5 and noticed that Zappos actually has this size available in this shoe. Most other retailers only carry this shoe in whole sizes. I picked up a size 11 though. It's a little large but comfortable still. This shoe has no arch support! You'll need to buy Dr. Scholl's arch supports if you have high arch like I do.

Love them -
I wore a pair of Vans Rowleys for about 5 years, finally had to buy new, and bought these. They took about 2-3 days to break in the heel and sole, but now I like them even better than my last shoe--they are extremely comfortable and they look cool.

I fell in love with these shoes from the first moment I saw them, and I have to say that Vans hasn't let me down in my expectations. The only issue I have with them is that the bottom isn't as cushioned as the rest of the Old Skool line shoes, so it took a little getting used to having my feet closer to the ground. Also, the design matches any outfit, making them a great everyday shoe, especially for work, and they're cute yet comfortable.

The coolest ever!
The peace signs on the sides are way cool. Very comfortable after a few days, like all Vans. These are great for work or going out. Great quality for the price.

What can I say about these shoes or for Vans for that matter... Hmmm!... Well, let me first point out that these (Vans) are not my 1st, 2nd or even the 10th pair of Vans I've ever owned. I'm 35 and over the last almost 3 decades now I could honestly say that I've probably owned between 2-3 hundred, somewhere in there. Now that may seem like a lot, but you have to understand that there's so many different kinds of Vans that they've made over the years. For example, in my closet right now, I've got at minimum 8-10 pairs of different colored checkered Vans Slip-Ons, and that's just Slip-Ons. We haven't even gotten to talking about the Old Skool Hi's that I have many of as well. You never know when the right set of Vans will match exactly with what you’re wearing and that's not only why I continue to buy them, but because they are perfect in style, comfort and overall appeal. I'm constantly given compliments on my Vans from time to time. I've even found some pairs of Vans not on here that are either discontinued or came out in limited quantities. People love these shoes and you will too... Trust me...

The old BMX days -
Amazing shoes. I generally rock higher end sneakers like Common Projects but the quality of these is just great. Used to BMX with these many years ago. They will probably last forever. I do have to add insoles though no, arch support. Great shoe.

Great style of Vans for more support and comfort -
If you like Vans, but need something with a little more support and comfort, then this is the style for you. The other more classic tie up Vans are nice, but don't go high enough like these on the top of the foot.

I really liked the look of the shoe. It’s a very basic shoe that you can wear with anything. My problem is that they are a bit too narrow for me and hurt my feet. I have wide feet and have had better luck with Pumas. The thing I didn't count on was that I didn't figure out I couldn’t wear the shoes until I walked a little bit. Since my apartment is small, I didn't really have any room to walk in them inside. So, since I wore them outside, I couldn't return them. I sold them to a friend and lost money on the deal. Made me wonder about buying shoes online.

The other Vans Classic -
Besides the Slip-On this is the other classic Vans shoe. They take a little bit to break-in, but this has been my favorite skate shoe for years with the simple, understated Vans style.

Can't beat a classic -
I was looking to replace a different set of Vans (eventually wore them out) when I came across this blast-from-the-past. They are great shoes from a tactile point-of-view, as you are not so cushioned as to not feel any of the ground you walk on. There is no significant arch support, so take note. These are "old school" shoes, and need to be "broken in" a bit to become supple, but once they do, they are like gum-soled slippers!

I bought these shoes for my son. He is very picky. He has wide feet, and these shoes are great. He loves them. He’s 14 and hates everything but these shoes. Will buy these again.

The shoes are a Christmas present for my son; he puts the vans on his list every year. He is 34 years old. He must like them a lot, they are the only shoes he ever ask for.

Fun and comfy, takes some breaking in -
I love fun shoes. I get so many compliments when I wear these. They are great. They are leather and somewhat stiff at first, so I did have to break them in, but now they are really comfortable.

I ordered these shoes on a Saturday and I got them on a Monday, which was really awesome. The shoes are a little stiff, but I feel like once I break them in they will be really comfortable. They look exactly like the picture, the colors aren't different or anything. I like and would recommend them.

Just a great shoe. I have two pair of the Old Skool Vans; one pair for skating and the other pair for taking my wife on dates. She has complimented the Espresso colored Vans (date shoe) on several occasions. Young kids even comment when I'm skating at the park. My own kids love Vans so they all have them, too. California family living in Texas... what can you do but go to Zappos to get the shoes they love!

The best shoes ever manufactured. I thought Chucks were the best classics until I got these. Look super awesome and have an amazing life span. I’m on my second pair of black ones with the white stripe. I wore the last ones into the ground. I straight lace them, double-knot under the tongue, and cut off the excess shoestring. After breaking in, they slip on and off with ease. They look stunning with anything I wear, especially narrow-leg jeans, but also shorts, cords, and even slacks! Still, they're pretty original in that not everyone in town has them. Great for a frugal shopper. I’ll buy a third pair when these wear out.

The Old Skool is a great shoe, but a little stiff in the sole. I think that it can look kind of strange but if you break them in they look better. They are really grippy, good for skating.

They look good...
But they are very stiff and uncomfortable. After wearing them 1 day, my feet hurt. They have a very stiff footbed and a hard rubber sole. They are great looking, but extremely rigid and I wondered how this company has been around so long. I do wear a size 13, however, so I'm not sure if it is just an issue with the size or not. I wore them several more days hoping they would soften up, but they didn't and only caused my feet more pain and discomfort. What's really strange is that I just tried some other Vans in 13, the original style in all black, on in a store locally, and they felt great! Go figure. I could not return these shoes because I did wear them for several days. Zappos issued me a $30 credit since I couldn't return them, but I think it was only good for a short time, and I didn't want to buy-before-you-try anymore.

My girlfriend told me about this site. I noticed you had free next day shipping. I ordered these on Memorial Day and got them the next day. Very nice. Um, the shoes. Yes, the shoes look very nice with shorts. Low tops. Um, the only problem I’ve had out of them so far is the heel rubs a bit, but they are still not broken in yet so that will pass. Very nice shoe. I definitely love the classic look that you can get out of a good pair of old school Vans. I bought the shoes in Espresso and received them in 2 days with free shipping. I love wearing them out, around the house, and anywhere else. If you are like me and jump down just about every flight of stairs you see, watch out. This shoe doesn't have quite enough padding to take big drops, but for style it just can't be beat.
