These shoes are definitely not as comfortable as others of this type I have owned, and I have owned quite a few. Stitching is light in color and make the shoes look cheaper. Hard to wear these in business casual situations. Size feels smaller than marked making putting them on a chore, as opposed to others that you can just "jump" right into and go. Spend a little more and get the Sebago Schooners, definitely the best in this category.

These shoes are very comfortable and I wear them often. Also, this is the 3rd or 4th time I have ordered shoes from Zappos and I am extremely satisfied with the service and delivery time.

These were the first pair of boat shoes I've ever bought, and I was not that impressed. The price was reasonable, but at first wearing them was impossible because it hurt the back of my ankles so much. I had them stretched at a shoe repair shop for about $8, and after that was very content with them. However, after about 4-5 months of everyday use, these shoes were about destroyed. The bottom of the soles had already started to peel off, and the inside lining of them had since been worn away and although it wasn't exactly uncomfortable, it was quite a bother. I will probably attempt to buy another brand for my next boat shoes and hope they last longer than the 4-5 months these did.

Highly recommended shoe store!
This shoe fits perfectly, precisely as advertised, and looks identical to the detailed photographs shown on the Zappos website. Shipping was free, but for some reason they shipped them to me in two days. They are comfortable, quiet, and durable. I like shopping at Zappos because there is no risk, and I never have to leave the house and hunt for the product I need. Zappos lets you know how many pair they have in stock in your size, and shoe stores at the malls rarely have styles and sizes in stock. I'm completely satisfied with Zappos and have bought multiple products from their website. I highly recommend them.

I purchased these shoes for my husband.
They are just right for everyday office wear.
It's so easy to shop online at Zappos and have them delivered the next day. No more looking throughout the mall, only to find that they may carry his size, but not in wide width.

Squeaky -
So far these shoes are the squeakiest pair I've ever owned. I expect that will diminish in time. Also, these are listed under the loafer section, but there are ties on them, so they really aren't loafers. Aside from a bit of a stiffness around the top edge, these are a snappy looking pair of shoes.

The Castaways are "OK"...Craftsmanship seems to be above average. Look is good except not true to color shown or advertised. Raisin looks more like an odd lighter brown...Shoes are not true to fit...feel a full size larger...shoe back rubs on Achilles tendons...maybe needs to be broken in. Overall a three out of five.

Great casual shoe -
These are just perfect for run about shoes. (My size is 11 EW) These require very little breaking in time and are able to be worn right out of the box. I have enjoyed other brands of boat shoe and find these to be better quality and more comfortable.

Fast delivery as always. Shoe runs a little large. Be prepared to have the dye come off the inside of the shoe onto your socks the first couple of times you wear them.

Puppy Mishap!
I was visiting friends in Orlando right before Christmas and my little dog, Mistletoe, pooed in my friend's favorite shoes!! They did not have them on the Dockers website, nor anywhere else I looked, until a friend at work told me about Zappos! Not only did they have the Dockers I needed, the price was amazing! I was able to include a gift card from Mistletoe to her "Uncle Dave" apologizing and replacing the shoes! And they arrived in just a couple days! He was thrilled to get the new pair and says they are just as comfortable as the old ones and that Mistletoe is welcome back at his home anytime! Thanks, Zappos!

Would help not to have a broken BIG TOE, while breaking it in -
They are breaking in OK, some discomfort in upper heel area on right side shoe, but that may have a bearing from a BIG broken toe on the right foot! So far, the Chinese made shoes, seem to be as good as the old American made ones? No complaints, except didn't have a wider size to order...

 |  | I just wanted to write in because I have placed many orders in the last couple of months and returned several of the pairs. I am leaving for a trip to Paris in a couple of weeks and I've been searching for the right pair. I've not had much luck, but I wanted to let you guys know that it isn't because I've been unhappy with my shopping experience with Zappos. Quite the opposite actually. Because your customer service and purchasing/returning policy is so great - I just keep coming back. So thank you, for making life easier for those of us who lack the time to run around to the various shoe stores around town.
