I usually wear a narrow, so I expected these to be a little wide. I've learned that a foam insert under the cork liner in the toe area helps. (The open back took care of the usually too wide heel.) I'm on my feet all day and these are very comfortable. Toffee is a really nice dark brown color. I wear these with dress pants for work, but I can also wear them with lightweight socks with my casual pants. I do have to be careful not to catch my stockings on the velcro strap when putting them on.

These shoes are wonderful. I already owned a pair and am so happy to have another color so I can wear them all the time. I had foot surgery and they are one of the few shoes that are comfortable enough to walk in all day long. They are cute enough to wear with almost anything.

This is my first pair of Naots. I ordered them in a 41, which is my usual Euro size. I wear a 9.5 or sometimes a 10 in American sizes. They fit like a glove, which is to say a little too snugly. The strap around the back of the heel pulled a bit with each step. The leather toebox of the shoe also formed a little wrinkle where it joins the sole, and it rubbed annoyingly on the side of my foot. This may have been due to the shape of my feet. However, I really like the style of the shoe, and they are extremely well made and otherwise very comfortable. So I returned the 41's and ordered a 42. The 42's don't seem that much larger than the 41's, but that little bit of extra room made all the difference! I wore them to work all day without socks (I do quite a bit of walking) and although they felt like new shoes, they were quite comfortable. I've worn them several times now and they have broken in very well. I ordered them in Toffee, which is a nice dark brown, and I may buy them in blue also. They work well with either pants or skirts, barefoot (love the suede footbed) or with socks. I would definitely buy Naots again.

I am nearly 60 and still have pediatric sized feet. The Naot shoes not only fit VERY well, but look great. The best part is not having to change shoes when I take my hike at lunchtime. Rock on.

Foot surgery - Zappos to the rescue!
After foot surgery I found out that I needed closed-toes shoes. Shocker - over the past years I have accumulated a number of excellent shoes from Zappos that are now unsuitable. Now, I am giving them away - sniff. (I kept a few pairs of Mephisto that I will wear with tights!) Naot is a new brand to me, but the shoe looked so cute and spring-like that I ordered it. (Free returns mean that I can shop with confidence.) I am Zappos VIP - so the next day I received these cuties. It is hard to see in the photo but there are little open teardrop cut out on the shoe. Ordered on Monday, received on Tuesday, and wore them for a full day of teaching high school on Wednesday. WOW!! I took "back-up" shoes but did not need them. Students commenting on the shoes kept reminding me that they were indeed brand new. I ordered the Navy and it will go with my denim skirts/crops/pants as well as some of my dresses. I will add Naot to my favorite brands list.

Adorable shoe with comfortable footbed, but I’m going to have to return them. I ordered a 40 in Copper. I usually wear an 8.5 to a 9, so a 40 should’ve been plenty big, but my toes hit the end of this shoe. And the next size up is too big. Darn!

Where's the comfort?
I have been looking for an ATTRACTIVE, comfortable shoe. This shoe is cute, but the footbed feels hard and unforgiving. There is a raised area under the center of the ball area that is annoying. Product information says that the insole will mold to the foot, but it would still feel firm. Not as firm as the 3-5 miles of concrete that I walk at work, but no relief from that walk.

My favorite shoes -
Bought these before a trip to France & UK where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking. They are so comfortable! Only problem I had was a bit of rubbing on the top of my foot, but I put some foam strips in a few spots and that did the trick. They are very cute - I get compliments all the time. Nice enough that I can wear them to work too.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn to work! I teach second graders, so I am on my feet 95% of the day. At the end of the day my feet don't hurt at all. That's exceptional. Plus I got lots of compliments on the style.

Cute Look!
Love Naot shoes. The removable footbed is the best! I bought black, but I think the brown ones are a little cuter and daintier, but I have too many brown shoes! :) I went one size up from the other Naot shoes.

Naot Gardenia-good all around shoe.
This is my second pair of Gardenia's. At first, the toe was a little tight or short. But after a while, it stretched out. The overall comfort, esp. the arch support make up for the short toe. My black ones are looser now and more comfortable with a sock. My second pair is the copper color (which is a great color) which fit like the fist pair. Overall, this is a year-round shoe that can be worn for several hours. Not too many around like this. I did however have a problem with the site regarding color. I could not differentiate between the 2 browns and had to go to another site to see the difference. I'm glad I got the copper. The other brown would have been too dark.

Very Comfortable -
These shoes are great for my problem feet. They are the second pair of Naot sandals I've bought- the first pair lasted 4 summers of constant wear! Naot has one of the most comfortable footbeds I've ever found. The only drawback is that the straps and the part of the shoe right near the arch did rub me a bit at first. I put in a little innersole in and that took care of the rubbing. I saw that another reviewer also complained about the rubbing issue.

Cute and very comfortable!
I ordered the copper, which is actually bronze, and goes well with all of my tan/khaki/brown pants. Very cute style and so, so comfortable. I have problem feet - hypermobile joints per my podiatrist. I have had planter fasciitis, ganglion cyst, and generally have foot pain with unsupportive shoes. These shoes were so comfortable from the first day I wore them - I was able to where them all day without any pain or discomfort at all. I wanted to keep wearing them when I got home instead of my slippers! They do seem to run slightly small in length.

This is a darling shoe, it fits beautifully. I am not accustomed to wearing cute shoes because of some foot issues. I have been able to wear it all day with no problems at all.

This style wasn't for me, but another was fantastic.
Zappos’ description (and service) was perfect. Unfortunately, I found the leather upper stiff - it cut into my foot between the toe and arch area, but the footbed was truly remarkable. I must return this style, but was so impressed with the footbed I ordered "Nice". I am very pleased with them and will try other Naot styles.

Most comfortable from the get-go -
I have worn these shoes twice - both for a day of work and then shopping afterwards. I have plantar fasciitis and it hasn't bothered me with these shoes. It's nice to remove the insole for an insert, but I haven't needed to use mine with these. I usually wear a 7 wide and these fit perfect. Little more than I wanted to spend, but oh so worth it.

These shoes are cute, light and so comfortable -- I feel like I am wearing slippers. They fit true to size (I wear 7.5 and the 38 fit well), have moderate arch support, and the toe box is roomy. I like that the cross straps have velcro to adjust for a custom fit, and the inside is softly lined. They will look good with pants, jeans and casual skirts/dresses.

Everyday comfort -
This shoe works very well with my custom dress shoe orthotic inserted below the removable insole. You could also remove the insole and insert a full orthotic. I wear the shoe with slacks and casual skirts and also with jeans. Excellent alternative to tennis shoes - with similar comfort. I have it in green, also.

Love the comfort -
These are extremely comfortable especially because I need to wear a custom orthotic, and these shoes are totally orthotic friendly. I also have a wide toe box and this shoe does accommodate my width. I really love them and have gotten many compliments.

What a cute shoe! If only the toe box were bigger (my big toe hit it when walking) and the inside instep had a different design (like the new Naot Bramble). They have minimal arch support and I took notice from previous reviews who said that it gave them blister, etc. Naot makes great shoes and it looks like the problems with this shoe have been corrected with the new Bramble.

Extraordinary for comfort and looks -
I purchased the Naot "Gardenia" in Anchorage, Alaska last year as my feet were killing me. I put these on and felt instant relief. I love the shoe and it runs true to size and width. I had never even heard of this brand until I found a great shoe store in Anchorage!

Naot Gardenia: Comfort, Cuteness and Style!
Naot Gardenia is a VERY pretty, very comfortable shoe. I have it in the mint green and get compliments EVERYWHERE. I regularly wear DANSKO and have come to expect comfort from high-priced shoes. You get that from this pair of Naot’s. My legs, feet, back and knees feel wonderful at the end of a long day of walking. I wear these sans socks in the summer - with shorts, skirts, and pants. In winter (I'm a New Yorker) they are GREAT with socks, tights, or (ugh) pantyhose. The comfort of Dansko or Birkenstock, but much, much more feminine and pretty!
I'm a size 9 - got the 40s which are roomy without socks, perfect with.
Yes, I'm a Zappos fan, as well. GREAT service, fast shipping.

Great comfort sandal but not stylish -
I saw a coworker wearing brown Gardenia sandals and I fell in love with it, I got a black one thinking it will be easy to match it with any color. I did not like the black color and the material leather that was used, it was not stylish and when I tried it on it does not look great with pants or shorts but look great on skirts. Since I don’t usually wear skirts I decided to return it and exchange it with another Naot, but different style sandal.

 |  | I want you to know how pleased I am that my dad received his shoes so quickly! He got them today. I am amazed! He is a patient at the VA hospital in Denver. He is a WWll combat veteran who lost his leg after stepping on a land mine. Recently, he was taken to the VA hospital because no one at his present home could care for him. He was sick, malnourished, and to add insult to injury, could not use his prosthetic leg because it caused a sore on his amputated stump. To shorten a long story, he had no shoes with him with which to begin learning to use his new prosthesis. I ordered them Saturday as soon as I hung up talking with him and he received them today. Now he can begin the long journey to regain his stride and health. He will be returning to the east coast of Virginia to be with family.
