I love these shoes, I have them in black and in the sky blue suede. I'm sulking now, because if I'd known they came in PINK, I'd have bought those instead of the blue!!! I've worn my shoes for music theatre rehearsals – they're lightweight, very flexible, with awesome arch support. Although, if you have a lot of pirouettes, they're not as good for that, because they 'catch' on stage floors, like any sneaker. Where these shoes really have come through for me, is when I've played drum set for gigs. They don't get in the way when the music has a lot of fast kick drum or hi-hat, and the covered toe means I'm fearless when I play, because I know I'm not going to smash my toes into the hi-hat stand. When people talk about the sizing, I think perhaps they don't realize that these are dance shoes – you don't wear socks with them. (It gets stinky, but the baby powder with aloe takes away the stench.) If you want to wear socks with them, I'd go half to a full size larger.

Wow I ordered these shoes. I thought they would be there 4-7 days. They were there the next day. I ordered them a size larger than my norm cause of advice from the reviews. They were too big. I called to exchange to try a half size smaller. They were so helpful. I’m surprised at the awesome service.

Not for every foot -
I don't think this is the shoe for people with normal to wide feet or high insteps. I am hoping that these shoes break in better than they wear initially; I bought a full size larger than I wear and the toe box is cramped. I like to dance in shoes that fit like gloves, and these just don't yet. However, the arch support is GREAT for high arches, and the shoe is comfy to point toes in. Other reviewers have said that the shoe relaxes, and if it does, then I'll be able to give it five stars.

Excellent Fit -
After a lot of swing dancing, I realized that I needed more support and cushioning. Initially, I was hesitant, because I have a 10 slim foot. All of the reviews helped with my decision. I felt like a kid when I saw the box and tried it on. I ordered size 11 M, and it fit perfectly!

Perhaps it depends on how the shoes are used...
I see in the review that dancers find this an awesome shoe. I used it as a multi-purpose fitness shoe--some of my workouts are very dance-oriented, while others have more basic body-building moves or a combination. While it is much better for dance, I do notice that it gives me VERY sore heels when I do certain moves, such as squats and lunges. Even walking for a relatively long distance in this shoe causes pain in the heel area. They are very cute, but the fit sometimes caused blisters for my wide feet even after I got the best size (which for me was a 7; my normal size is a 6).

My favorite dance sneakers! Sizing depends on what you do -
As a dancer, I love these sneakers! I tried on some other sneakers by Capezio but really loved these and found the best price by ordering through Zappos. I have the black pair, and I think they give a cleaner and more flattering look to your feet than the bi-colored sky or pink sneakers (tried those on too), which break up the line of your foot.
As for sizing, I have these in my street shoe size and they fit close to my feet like gloves. If I wanted these to be regular or workout shoes, I'd definitely go larger by a half or full size. But as a dancer, they need to be snug so that your toe point looks right and so that your feet don't slide into the toe box when going on point/balancing on the tips. These sneakers have stretched a little for me where they're especially snug, buyers can keep that in mind too. I'm so happy with my purchase, and also with Zappos!

OMG SMALL!
I would guess these are more like two whole sizes smaller than normal. I wear a 5.5-6 and I couldn’t even get my foot in the six. I am going to order up and see how it goes. I feel like they will be very comfortable if I can get them in the right size. We will see.

Adorable shoe - heel too fat -
This shoe (in sky blue) was the talk of my jazz dance class. Everyone wanted to order a pair. It fit my narrow foot nicely (although I ordered 1.5 sizes larger than my street shoe). My only complaint about this shoe is that there is something uncomfortable about the way the tongue hits the top of my foot (at the ankle). Also, although the blue is adorable, the pink color is very bright (almost pepto-bismol pink) and has greenish-grey mesh. In the browser the shoe appears to be a pretty pale pink with white... not so in real life.

Great Dance Sneakers -
I have a hard time finding dance shoes to fit my narrow feet so I ordered Capezio Groove's as well as a pair of the Capezio Tekno-Lo's as this was my first pair of dance sneakers. The Teckno-Lo's were very wide (I returned those) but the Groove's were a perfect width with a light pair of socks. I took the recommendations from the other reviewers and ordered a full size up from my regular shoe size and they worked perfectly. I danced at an outside event on concrete a couple of days after I received them and they performed well and were very comfortable. Zappos is awesome...very efficient with quick delivery and returns processing and excellent customer service.

Great shoes for curves -
This shoe is great for a curves workout. It is definitely different looking but the greatest shoe comfort-wise. It has excellent arch support and is perfect for an aerobic workout. I ordered a full size larger and am very happy with the fit.

Had to go up full size to have enough toe box room with regular weight sox, even though my foot is only narrow/medium width. Good shoe for NIA class--dance, yoga moves combined--which is what I bought it for. Love the pink color and shoe has enough support surprisingly to perform on rug over concrete surface. The shoes slide just enough to perform dance steps and give the support on the super hard concrete I was looking for. My 61 year old knees love that!

Dance, Dance, Dance -
Love the comfort of this sneaker. Bought them for a dance 'n Funk class so I would not stick to the floor, really work well. I wanted the pink, but they only had blue in my size. (Please make sure you order 1.5 or 2 sizes larger than you wear). I have flat feet, so the arch takes a bit to get used to. However, I can now dance, dance, dance!

I love these shoos. I bought them for a dance class. I haven't danced in years and they help with my aches and pains. Definitely get a full size larger than your normal shoe. I normally wear a narrow and was worried about the medium width but they are fine with a pair of no shoe socks.

Found these to be true to size. I bought the pink sneaker and the color is great. As a dance teacher I find the support to be exactly what I need while being stylish at the same time. It's a Capezio product so you can expect the best quality in a dance shoe.

I ordered the Capezio Groove based on the reviews I read, but cannot agree after trying them for a week. There was minimal arch support, but I just slipped in an OTC insert. I could have lived with that, but it just didn't have the thick "cush" in the sole for the dancing impact of Jazzercise class. I wanted to love it, but didn't (wish my hubby hadn't tossed the box!). Might be good for walking. Size-wise, you will want a 1/2 or full size larger than your normal athletic shoe.

I love these sneakers. They look cute and are very comfy. These were my first dance shoe purchase and I am super happy with them. I purchased them in Sky and they were a perfect color choice. I normally wear a size 8 or 8.5 and I bought a 9 on the recommendation of other reviewers and they fit great!

Capezio's Groove Dancesneaker -
This is a really comfortable shoe. I wear them to do dance exercise videos at home. The bottom "cut out" allows the shoe to bend in the middle so as not to feel as clunky as some supportive walking shoes do. I have them in pink which always gives me a smile. Other reviews helped me decide to order a full size larger. That's a good fit. Very pleased!

Great and groovy dance sneaker -
I bought these shoes for a Cardio Salsa class and they're perfect. They're comfortable and flexible while offering great arch support. Since my foot is quite narrow, I have a hard time getting a shoe that doesn't fall off when I walk. It was pleasant to find that the shoe hugs my foot so that I can do all the moves with ease.

Still too small -
I ordered a half size larger, but they were still too small. Go for a full size larger for sure. Also the soles were not as slick as I expected, but they probably would have been fine for practice.

A jazz sneaker with great support and comfort -
I ordered this shoe because I wanted to try something different than the Bloch shoes I had been wearing for years. The Capezio's looked as if they might have better support, and that has turned out to be the case. They feel great on and allow me to move on several different types of dance floors (sticky, smooth, very smooth) with ease. One thing to note, they do run much smaller than street shoe sizes. I wear an 11.5 in this shoe and street shoe size is a 10. Overall I'm very pleased with the performance, fit, and comfort.

Normally wearing a size 4 shoe, it is difficult to buy aerobic shoes which fit properly. I bought these shoes specifically to wear for Jazzercise. They work well for aerobics and I am pleased. These shoes are clearly ONE full size smaller than marked. I read the reviews written here and ordered a 4 1/2 shoe thinking this would work. I had to return the 4 1/2 for a size 5. Order one full size larger than your normal shoe size.

My feet don't hurt anymore -
I love these shoes. I'm always on my feet running shows and my feet were always killing me. I couldn't flex my feet the way I wanted to in regular sneakers and the arch support was not enough. Now with these shoes I can be on my feet for twelve hours and not have my feet aching. I don't know why I didn't think about dance sneakers years ago. I am one very happy former dancer.

Like all dance sneakers, order 1 1/2 size larger than true size. I have a wide foot and find that this is the only dance sneaker that fits. I also like its support.
