I really liked these shoes and the service Zappos provided. We got upped to special delivery with no extra charge because they weren't busy! These shoes are actually pretty heavy, I've tripped a time or two, but hey! I did that with others too. These are probably the best shoes in my closet, but the most expensive pair too.

I wore my new shoes to work today as I walk on cement floors 9 hrs a day. These shoes are the best shoes I will ever buy. No break in, comfy, and I am sure they will last for years. And kudos to Zappos! I ordered my shoes on Saturday and I received them on Saturday. Talk about good customer service. I will definitely shop again at Zappos.

If you stand a lot, it’s a good shoe -
I purchased these Docs in the hope that I could find a decent shoe to wear in my work place. I work in a clean room, so I stand on hard perforated floor tiles most of the day.
The Docs arrived ahead of schedule to my home, yay! I wore them for the last 6 weeks and have been quite pleased. They have very good support and are quite comfortable. There was little to no real "break in" period. Quite comfortable out of the box. I did find that they do feel larger than the size marked I went with a 10 where I usually wear a 10.5. I still need to wear thicker socks to compensate for this.
I did replace the insoles with after market ones about 2 weeks ago. This is more of a comfort thing since I work in a place that’s quite hard on feet.
They are heavier than my normal shoes so watch yourself on the stairs. :)
Over all a definite buy in my book.

Great Shoe!
This is an awesome shoe, it looks sharp, and feels good, but they are quite heavy shoes especially if you climb a lot of stairs, I have tripped several times. But I love them and will continue to buy these, they are very durable, and I love the dark brown color.

8312 Series - BEX Flex works for me -
No breaking required for this shoe for me. I wore it all day right out of the box. Like others have said, it seems to run about a half size larger than marked. Very roomy toe box and of course that signature Doc Martens cushion. They are a pretty heavy shoe, like most Docs, so be aware of that when you order. The Doc Martens Wonder Balsam works great to put on to keep the leather supple and soft - order with your shoes so you will have some on hand. Great Zappos service as always! No trouble getting the correct size and they were here in short order. Thanks Zappos!

I usually go 10.5 in size, so after reading other reviews of this shoe, I went 10, due to other saying it felt larger than marked. Just the opposite for me. I recommend if you’re a 10.5 just go 11. Zappos quickly replaced them, with no hassle, and I love them.

Well put together -
This shoe is my first pair of Dr. marten's and all I gotta say is, "wow!" They feel great and look great, but they do run about a half a size bigger. Overall a great shoe!

Classy, but rough shoe -
I received these shoes last week and they are working out rather well. They felt about a half size larger than marked, but a wedge insole fixed any and all problems. My main transportation method is my longboard skateboard, so the shoes were broken in in a matter of hours. I bought the Bark stained Docs and the stain scrapes off pretty easy, so these aren't the best shoes for roughing around in if you expect to wear them to a more formal event. However, if you're into a semi-formal shoe that ages fairly quickly into a pair of rough and tumble kicks, then these might be up your alley.

Ok so I work in the hotel business and I am a big bad punk girl. I wanted something so comfy for my shift but at the same time give my coworkers an idea I was not all soft and girly. I love these shoes, they are the greatest. So very comfy and they work great to keep me on my feet for the entire 8 hours of work. I have had them for about 9 months and they still look brand new. The greatest shoe ever, I recommend them to anyone looking for comfort with a little attitude.

Eight years and trucking!!
I've had these shoes for eight years now!! They still look and fit great! I wear them all the time; about a year ago I did get an insole for them because I'm getting old. But they still look the same. I'm only on here because my 14-year-old sister keeps begging me to give them to her so I thought I would surprise her for her birthday. Would definitely recommend!!

Love My Docs -
This is the second pair of Dr. Martens in about seven years, and this new pair feels just great for my size 13 flat feet! My first pair of Docs is still going strong; with some cosmetic scuffs and wear, but the soles look practically brand new still.

I didn't actually buy mine here at Zappos, but that's only because they didn't have the right size and color I wanted (UK8/Black Grizzly). First off, I LOVE these shoes. Being a teenager girl with big, flat feet, it's pretty hard to find shoes that I like, and that also fit correctly. They look about as classic as you can get, the quintessential Doc. Martens shoe. As I said, I have flat feet, so the lack of arch is great. I feel like I'm walking on air... hence the AirWare name. If you need arches, there's plenty of room for inserts, they run a little roomy (which can be easily fixed by inserts as well). My pair of Doc's boots gives me really bad blisters on my heels, but there's absolutely NO sign of that happening with these shoes. They felt broken in the second I took them out of the box. I haven't had mine long enough to know if they loosen up with a lot of wear, but from what I can tell, they're maybe the best footwear buy I've ever made. Seriously, check them out.

Great shoe!
Much more comfortable than other Docs I've owned in the past. Little arch support, so I'd recommend an insole if you really require support. But the shoe is roomy, and there's plenty of room to accommodate orthotics. I will say that there seem to be "variations" in the leather, at least on the peanut grizzly. Some people may not like that, so if you order this color, give 'em a once-over before wearing.

I'm a 13 and I run towards wide. Docs have been tight in the past with my many good pairs over the years...
These things, however, practically melted around my feet on the first try... They are so soft and comfortable that you'd never guess that they are chunky tough Dr. Martens on your feet...

Simply amazing -
I have to say that I am very impressed with how well this shoe fit. Even though it was a UK size chart, it was still easy to determine the right size for me. They are very comfortable and stylish. I was going for the casual dress shoe, and this shoe hits the nail right on the head. I have a very high arch, and this shoe seems to hit my arch right at the correct point. I would recommend this shoe to anyone that comes up to me; I have even recommended it to other people in my family.

The shoes are great. My second pair of Docs; much more comfortable than the first ones, but that was many years ago (they don't wear out). Zappos is incredible with overnight shipping in most cases. The return procedure is very hassle free and Zappos' staff is very cordial.
