The shoes are great. Because I have very sensitive toes, I ordered a size larger and they are perfect for dancing for hours. The shoes offer wonderful protection and I apply moleskin over the taps and wear them to dance in my Tango class where feet are stepped on as a rule of thumb. I found Zappos\' customer service team warm and friendly and the return with free shipping both ways will keep me shopping with them.

The shoes came in on time and as ordered. I normally wear a shoe size 10.5 or 11, and I was glad I went up that extra 1/2 size. I've only been using these for about 4 weeks now, and I can tell the tap in one of the shoes is not as sturdy as the rest. Still, they are a good bargain and I'm happy with my purchase!

Good Shoes -
I bought these shoes for a tap class that I'm taking this summer and I'm very pleased with them. More experienced tappers should probably go for a different shoe as the tap sound could be a little clearer and the back taps have started to come loose… but these are great for beginners, especially if you don't wear leather (like me) because these are made of man made materials.

I was desperate for a pair of tap shoes so I could tap with my four year old granddaughter. Wanted something inexpensive and found just what I needed in the Bloch shoe. Ordered my regular size and could hardly get it on. I returned that pair and ordered another pair one size larger. Perfect. Zappos, you're the best.

After putting a cushion in the heel, and finding the right socks, they work well. Unfortunately, the heel tap comes loose.

A good shoe to begin with -
These are good for beginning dancers... taps could have more resonance... this style with the maryjane strap does not hold my foot tight enough. All in all, am glad I started with these. When I order my next pair, I now know what I am looking for...
Unfortunately, one of my taps is loose. A bit of glue should fix this...

A Shuffle ball-change for Zappos!
I've heard about Zappos from friends and family who have difficult feet to fit. I wear an 11 1/2 (in most shoes) and was having a difficult time finding tap shoes. Because of Zappos, I am having a lot of fun in a Tap Dance Class through my local park district.

I am so pleased with the Mary Jane Bloch Tap Shoe I purchased from you for My Granddaughters first Tap dancing class. The fit of the tap shoe is perfect, as if it were made by hand to fit her, she is so excited over the look and comfort of the shoe.
Thank you so much for all your help in selecting the right shoe for her. Your customer care people were very very helpful in my selection as I needed advice on selecting a shoe that would have a wider toe and comfort for dance.

Great Taps... Goofy Sizing -
My daughter loves her new tap shoes though it took us three orders to get the right size. She wears a size 4 in her everyday shoes and sneakers but a size 8 in the Bloch tap shoe.

The shoes arrived promptly, even for overseas!!!
Mine had a slight scratch on the toe, but I decided to keep it anyway because the fit was good and the class was to start soon.
The fit was a full size larger than I normally wear, and I had wanted to place my foot insert into the shoe as well, but it needed to be even larger than a full size.
I loved the detail of the bow and along with some fancy lace anklets, I'm ready to learn TAP!!!

Not bad looking, sounds nice and is somewhat comfortable. I would prefer more of a square toe to a round one, but it isn't bad at all.

These shoes are so adorable! Bow is removable too. The sound of these taps are great--clear and sharp! You will need to order 1 1/2 sizes larger for some reason on these. Very durable--pure quality. Thanks ZAPPOS for bringing more quality products to our attention.

It looks very cute, and pretty comfortable. The only thing that I am concerned with is just the sound it made wasn't loud enough. Other than that, everything is perfect.

Great dance shoe -
I got this shoe for my daughter. They do run small, the first pair I had to send back. She usually wears a 1 1/2 and the 4 was just right. I wanted her to be able to wear them for more than a few classes so, I sent them back with Zappos great free return service and got her a 5. She loves them! She thinks that they sound much better than the cheaper dance shoes. Good Taps have to make good sound. They also look great. They are not the shiny patent leather, they look really nice. They are not real leather though, but for a 9 year old that is going to outgrow them, they are perfect.

Exactly what I wanted -
I ordered a full size larger than I usually do, as suggested by the oterh reviewers. They fit very well - no rubbing, no pinching. Flexible, lightweight. And, of course, Zappos shipped them quickly and without any problems.

Shoes for my daughter -
My daughters dance studio requires that she purchase the Bloch Tap-on since she is part of the competion team (and they need them to all have the same shoes). I was thrilled with the price of the shoes at Zappos with one small exception. I did not realize that these were man-made material. I have purchased the leather uppers before. They seem to be breaking in fine but the description should mention the difference more explicitly.

These shoes are really cute and very comfortable except for around the outside ankle bone where the sides come up a bit high and rub the underpart of the bone. I bought some shoe inserts though that fixed this.

This would be a great shoe if it fit right. It was 1 size too small when we got it the first time. Quality was great. When I ordered larger pair I had to go with a little different shoe, so can't tell much how this one felt when worn.

Very cute but a whole size smaller than expected. I'm a 7 but the shoes felt like a 6. I thought they just needed breaking in so I wore them to class. They feel a little bit looser but not enough to tap comfortably. Even my instructor noticed how tight they are. I believe they would be very comfortable if I bought them in the right size.

Bloch's Mary Jane Tap -
Although we found this shoe to run one and a half sizes small, it is a sturdy comfortable tap shoe. The interchangable taps are great for costume appeal.

I purchased the merry janes for work. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 so I ordered that size. At first I thought I had ordered them too small but they quickly relaxed around my foot making them possibly the most comfortably shoes i heve ever purchased. I was so pleased that other girls from work ordered them. I work at a casino so they are both practical and stylish especially if you are on your feet a lot, very comfortable

I'm impressed! Few companies care about customer service anymore because they seem to believe they have American consumers "over a barrel." Why provide good customer service when they don't have to? At least goes the thinking. I deplore talking to "Customer Service" representatives in overseas. I don't understand them and they don't understand me. And they don't solve problems, they just read from printed cue cards. So...THANK YOU for caring about customer service. It DOES matter to me, it DOES matter to the American public. Next time I need shoes, you'll be the first place I shop.
