Love these shoes! I only ordered 2.5 sizes down and they fit like a glove. I really only ordered them because it seemed like a fun idea. I'm not in any ballet classes (not since I was 5 anyway), but when I wear these shoes at the grocery store or something I have to say they make me prance around more. I love it.

To be fair, the size I ordered did not fit. I ordered 3 sizes down from my street size, however, I should have ordered 2.5 sizes down instead. I have given them ample time to stretch but can't get through even a half hour of rehearsal in them. Since I've worn them I can't exchange at this point, so I don't know how the next size up would have felt. Another observation though, they are not as soft and pliable as Capezio which I normally wear, but would have probably broken in ok.

Serves my purpose -
I'm wearing these shoes for my wedding - I'm taller than my fiancé and didn't want to add any height, plus I wanted something comfortable. These ballet slippers fit the bill. My only complaint is that they are pretty wide around the top - I had to really tighten up the drawstrings to make them fit. I wouldn't be able to wear them for serious dancing due to that issue, but they'll be fine for the wedding.

Much better fit for long narrow feet than other brands -
I hadn't danced in 25+ years and wanted something simple for myself after my daughter began ballet classes. Size down 2.5 to 3 sizes from your dress shoe size. I am a 10 or 10.5 narrow and got these in 7.5 and 8 narrow to try both. I ended up keeping both--the smaller, snugger pair are best for dancing, but I use the slightly looser pair for yoga and pilates.

Hard to find the right size -
Great dance shoe and now that I have the right size, I am very happy with it. 3 sizes smaller isn't quite right and their wide isn't really. I ended up with a 4E and I usually wear a 6.5 D. You may just have to try a few pairs before you get the right one.

I followed the advice on sizing and ordered two sizes smaller. The fit was perfect. I ordered the slippers for an adult ballet class and I am very happy with my purchase.

Great Shoe!
I originally ordered a 6.5, but had to return it for 5.5, so definitely go smaller! The return process went smoothly, one of the best reasons to shop Zappos! I love these shoes for just wearing around the house or doing yoga. I will buy another pair!

Comfy Shoe -
I found the recommendation to order 3 sizes smaller to be true -- I was skeptical and only went down 2 and they're a little big. Plus, they are leather, they will stretch a bit.

Bloch Dansoft -
If you want a ballet flat, you might as well get a ballet flat. There's nothing much to them, but that's the point. You can feel the floor, which is good if you're dancing, not so good if you're walking up somebody's gravel driveway.

Not as small as they say...
I ordered this shoe for my daughter three sizes smaller than her actual size as recommended and they are tiny. Now I have to return them and order her regular size.

Good shoes, but...
Usually I buy size 7, but following the instruction, I've chosen 5.5 and it was my size. The main confusion with the slippers is that I don't know til now whether I have two left shoes or there is just no difference in between them. In general, I like them, but the price is too high.

Feel like a kid again!
I purchased these to wear around the house and I think they're great! I could have ordered a size smaller than I did, so if you're on the fence, go a size down.

Dancing -
I had a really hard time trying to find a dance shoe with an E width. I bought a couple and this Bloch was the only brand that came close to fitting. It is still a little tight where the stitching is, but overall, I am very pleased. I would recommend this brand to anyone. Now, if I could just fine jazz shoes in an E width, I would be in heaven.

Great for new dance student -
Got these for belly-dancing class and they have been just fine. I had to order down three sizes since the standard width was not available.

Good cheap dance shoe -
I usually wear a 7.5 street shoe, but ordered a 6.5 and it fit pretty good. I could actually gone down to a 6 because it is leather and will stretch, plus dance slippers should fit very snug...but I wanted a little extra wiggle room in the toes, so I kept them. Not sure how they will last, but for now they are great.

Comfy-o-rama -
Wasn't sure I would be okay with fit, but completely love them! Ordered 1 1/2 smaller and it seemed to be perfect. Like the fit and comfort, and I am not a dancer. Just use them for light wear.

Ballerina Slipper -
The slipper was very, very wide, and it's supposed to be a "B" width. It should have been labeled "EE" width. The slippers must be returned.

Excellent Choice -
I've only recently started taking dance classes and these shoes have been a great buy. I love that Zappos offers a wide selection in wide shoes. Elastic lace allows you to make sure the shoe fits snuggly without coming off or being too tight. Would buy again.

These shoes run true to size as far as Bloch is concerned. You need to go one size smaller than street shoe. I would go with a normal width even though you might have a wide foot because they stretch. I find them durable and comfortable as well.

Ballet slippers -
We bought these slippers in white for a bride! She has very wide feet so we knew any typical shoes would not prove to be comfortable. These slippers were a perfect fit and will ensure she enjoys her day without suffering with sore feet. An added plus is the EXTRA quick shipment and easy return policy. I've ordered many times and have never been disappointed. I received your "customer satisfaction" e-mail and forwarded it to my co-workers at IBM! Wow...you're the best!!!

Bloch "slipper" great little slipper -
Adorable little shoe. I am using them for Tai Chi so although I didn't go as small as suggested, I did go smaller than my street shoe size. They do the job of allowing me to "feel" the floor. I don't reccomend them as house slippers though, as someone said they planned on using them for. Great shoe GREAT service

Very strange fit...
I went down two sizes as other reviewers recommended but that might have been too much. If I was going to order these shoes again, I would subtract 1 1/2. The fit was the strangest thing; they were tight in the toes but gaped out across the ball of my foot. I didn't see any way to make them work.

Shoe Review-
Shoe is not true to size- runs rather small.
However, if you take lessons/and-or rehearse often, it will stretch.
The first few practices will be slightly painful though.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Same brand, just larger size.

Great little beginner shoe.
You may be able to find this shoe a little cheaper elsewhere, but if you must order online, Zappos' QUICK shipping and FREE return policy makes the little extra cost well worth it.
I had to order TWO sizes down (not 3 as suggested).
Other brands recommended by reviewer: The Dansoft split sole is also a good shoe.

I love this little shoe, but make sure you order your street size (or 1/2-size larger, even), rather than smaller as other ballet shoes require. This is a great adult begginer shoe. Reasonably priced, has a cute daisy liner.

 | | I just want to say your service is exemplary. When I need running shoes or cool new sneakers, I go to the web site, always find what I want, click send then usually see UPS in the next fifteen minutes or so. (And my home is in an extremely remote place.) Wonderful job. Edwin | | ~ Edwin, September 29 2009
