Great comfort from this shoe. Due to a recent injury to both feet, it was a relief to find shoes that I could walk in other than athletic shoes for a month long trip to Morocco. This shoe held up incredibly well during that month.
I ordered other "soft" and "comfort" brands from Zappos at the same time, but returned them all except this one.
I will definitely be looking for additional SoftWalk styles since the "egg crate" cushioning is the best for my 12 Med.

This shoe is wearable immediately. No breaking in. The toe box is wide, and it is very cushiony.
I plan to order it in another color.

I love SoftWalk shoes. These are the second pair I have ordered and wear them all the time. They are very comfortable. I love the SoftWalk sandals too.

Look great and feel good, too!
Like the look of the shoe and the feel of the insole. My only complaint is that it is a little harder to keep on when walking. I think that is because it is cut a little lower than most mules. I will definitely try other SoftWalk shoes.

If you have a high arch or instep, you should try this shoe!
… but it's a total disaster if you have low arches. My narrow, but flat feet flop around and practically walk right out of these shoes. Those reviewers who couldn't wear the La Habre style might like these and vice versa.

I tried them on but believe it or not I have not worn them yet. I live in Fl. and I would wear them with my jeans. It has been too hot. I hope the fit ok when I do wear them. Thank you. Sue E

Wonderful surprise!
I have worn SoftWalks for a long time, but these are superb. Also, couldn't tell on the web sight that these shoes had a pattern on the top - makes them a little more dressy. The fit and the comfort are perfect.

I have these in brown and black and might buy even more. They are so comfortable, I could walk in them all day and that is something for someone with bad feet!

I absolutely LOVE this shoe!! So far, I have purchased four pairs and will purchase more if my size becomes available in the colors I want. This shoe is sized correctly and is a perfect fit for narrow feet. If you have narrow feet, you know how difficult it is to find shoes that fit. The leather is soft and the style is very comfortable. My advice is to get it while you can!

I LOVE this shoe! I got it in the mocha flower and in the black flower. It was comfortable from the get go, no break in period whatsoever! I have a hard time finding shoes anywhere, so Zappos has truly been a blessing.

Feel like slippers -
These shoes are great. I don't know if I am wearing any shoes. I can be on my feet all day and come home without tired feet or legs. Great on my wide feet.

"Faster than the speed of light!"
Ordered one day, received it the next! Hard to believe. Best fitting shoe I think I have ever owned and I own probably 250 shoes. It's like walking on a cloud. The craftsmanship is superb. When looking for more shoes I will look at SoftWalk first.

Pretty shoe -
I returned this shoe because it just wasn't as comfy as I'd hoped. I like shoes with more coverage than this one offered. A seam was irritating my foot and I couldn't have worn thin socks with them. This shoe fit my wide high instep feet pretty good. I may try it again later, I really wanted to like these.

If you have a high instep you may want to avoid. The toe box is NOT high. Even with the W width I had to work with stretching the shoe for comfort. It has worked out, but you don't expect to have to do alterations at this price, for issues that didn't appear up until worn awhile.

I love the cushioned inner sole on this shoe. For a clog-type shoe it has a neat look. Arch support is adequate and overall it is a comfortable shoe for walking and general wear. I may even order some of the other colors.
Zappos overnight delivery is just the greatest.

Love this Shoe & Zappos!!!
I received my shoes the next day. I absolutely love everything about them. They are stylish and comfortable. I have a really hard time finding narrow shoes that look & feel good. I have narrow, flat feet and arthritis or something painful in my toes. These fit & feel good. I didn't have to return them for any reason. Thanks, Zappos. You did it again.

The San Mateo is comfortable to stand in--due to SoftWalk "egg crate" cushioning footbed. After wearing the shoe all day, however, I had some rubbing and soreness along my instep. Perhaps, however, that is due to my particular foot shape rather than the shoe.

One shoe felt smaller and narrower :=(
These are so cute, but one shoe felt more narrow and smaller than the other... not the shoe's fault I'm certain, probably an owner issue. But very cute: I will try to gently stretch out the one shoe, 'cuz the right one feels great. I would buy again.
