Size 8 looks large and heavy -
The cute picture does not accurately depict the heaviness of Lolita, almost clodhopper-ish sole. However, the straps are beautiful and give good support. If you have trouble finding comfortable sandals, try “Lolita”.

Great all-day shoe -
Just got back from a vacation where we spent 8 hours walking around a zoo with our three children & my feet were so comfortable in these shoes!

They run wide but hey, they are sandals; I don't consider them a serious walking shoe. I will wear them around and may just order another color.

Pretty sandal, but sizing was off -
First, I've been wearing nothing but Professional clogs for over a year because of a Morton's Neuroma and pain in the first toe joint on my left foot that is agonizing in any other shoes. The clogs virtually healed that foot, so I was looking for a sandal that would be similar. I ordered the Lolitas in Pomegranate, but with the first pair, one shoe was looser than the other. (This is not unusual from what I understand with Dansko - they are handmade shoes and sometimes you have to buy more than one pair in the same size before you get a pair that fits.) When I called Zappos, they were AWESOME. They sent me a new pair, a mailing label for the return, and upgraded my shipping. Needless to say, I will be a loyal Zappos customer forever! The new pair fit, but after wearing them for the weekend, they feel heavy. The leather is very scratchy and my feet are sore. I realize there is a break-in period despite what the other reviewers have found. I am going to moisturize the leather to soften it. I also ordered a pair of Sissy sandals because I need a lighter shoe for the summer in case these don't work out. Yeah to Zappos in any case for their GREAT SERVICE!

Lolitas are the best -
I have 5 other styles of Dansko and these are far and above the most comfortable. I now have two different colors of Lolita and will buy more as I can afford it. I can wear these all day and my feet never hurt. I have walked miles in them on vacations.

Love the Dansko Lolita - These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. I do a lot of walking on my job and my feet never hurt. I have this style in several colors. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Amazingly comfortable! I have always loved Dansko shoes and these are no exception. I walk a lot and have no problem walking long distances in these shoes. Plus they look amazing. I've gotten a ton of compliments! Order them, you won't regret it!

I love Dansko's Lolita sandal.
I love the Dansko Lolita sandal. It is the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned. I have it in red. It is true to fit. I get compliments on how cute is it all the time. I love Zappos! I've ordered numerous pairs of shoes and they are the best in customer service. Their web site is awesome! Thanks Zappos!

Dansko Lolita is a great sandal -
I have worn these sandals for hours at a time, while I needed to be on my feet. They are an answer to a very long search to find something cute and supportive at the same time. The rest of my shoes are either Dansko Professionals or New Balance shoes. Sometimes neither of those make a fashion statement. Excellent sandals and easy to walk in.

Cute but straps are very wide for a narrow foot -
I loved the look of this shoe and it was very comfortable, but I have a narrow foot and the straps were gaping like crazy, with no way to tighten or adjust. I am disappointed because I loved the look (I had gotten the red, which is subtle and very pretty), but not good for a very narrow foot!

This is a great shoe for walking -- with good support and lots of bounce -- and its fine with skirts or pants. If comfort and walking are your primary concern, I'd highly recommend this shoe. I did not go down a size, but I can see that one could because it's pretty roomy.

I love these sandals!! I have "cankles" (those similarly afflicted will know what I mean!), and really struggle to find sandals that are flattering and comfortable. The strap placement and the chunky sole actually minimize the appearance of my ankles. And they're so comfortable - and dressy enough for the office. Worth every penny!! I'm finished struggling with summer footwear . . . I just need these in every color!

Nice at first but OUCH!
The footbed felt lovely but after wearing for a day, both big toes sported blisters from the stitching around the outside of the footbed. Since I bought the sandals to be worn for a summer trip to Philly, I needed to be able to wear them more than a couple of hours. Stitching where toes are isn't the brightest idea!

First disappointment -
I am very disappointed with these shoes. I have a normal foot, not wide and not narrow, and my foot slides forward when I walk in these shoes. The straps are very loose on my foot, and the tighter I go on the back strap the more my foot slides forward. Sadly, I wore these out before I noticed this problem, so I'm stuck with a 114.00 shoe that I can't wear. You would think Dansko would come up with a solution for this on such an expensive shoe. They are beautiful but I give these a thumbs down.

This was the first time I ever ordered from Zappos and it was a very, very pleasant shopping experience!! They upgraded shipping and I received the shoes way before I expected. I had only tried Danskos on in stores and found them to be very comfortable. Even though these were brand new shoes I took them to Las Vegas and wore them walking all over the place. I'm wearing them to work every day and they are the most comfortable shoes I think I've ever had. I will definitely be ordering more Danskos from Zappos!!!!

Built to last!
This is the best-made sandal I've seen. Although it is a bit heavy, it clearly is made to last for years. I like its strappy appearance--lightens up the look despite being sort of clunky. It's very comfortable with a lot of support.

SCUFFING SOLES -
Love the style and comfort HOWEVER the sides of the soles scuffed easily. The covering must be painted on the soles as it scuffed off to a blackish color underneath. The shoes became quite unsightly after very few wearings...

Cute AND comfortable!
I have foot problems and have been trying to find a comfortable sandal. The first time that I wore these, I wore them all day. We ended up going on an "easy" hike (not paved) and walking for over 1 1/2 hours. Even in the heat (with feet becoming swollen and sweaty), these were great! I did get a small blister on one toe, but a little Body Glide solves that issue. And they are cute. I even had a woman stop me in the store to ask the brand.

Love these shoes -
I have horrible feet, and I found these shoes to be fantastic! They are very supportive, and can be immediately worn for long distances. These shoes and my athletic shoes are the only pair I can walk in for long distances!

The missing show -
I've had two pairs of these shoes for several years. They have gradually loosened. Couldn't find them in any store, and no acceptable substitute. A friend put me on to Zappos and there they were. Glad to have a "fresh pair."

Most comfy shoes ever!
These sandals are wonderful. Not only are they dressy enough for my office, but they're casual enough for my days off. It's like I'm not even wearing shoes. They are truly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Well worth the price!!
