ASICS Gel-DS Trainer IX -
Very lightweight. A friend recommend the DS trainers to me. I like it, but not very cushioned. I run anywhere from 4 to 8 miles a day, and this shoe was great for weight, but it wasn't very cushioned. Good for mild overpronators, medium or low arches.

Great Shoe! Great Look!
I do not overpronate that much, but it has great stability even for the mildest pronation, which makes me feel confident in every step I take.
It's also at a great price. I looked at other sites for the same shoe and Zappos is the cheapest.

If you liked the DS Trainer VII or VIII, this is a bit different but still a great training shoe

Asic's Gel-DS Trainer IX -
I have run in Asics for years and this is one of their best shoes. The DS Trainer is light weight and supports my foot well. This is my second pair!!!

Bought the shoe on Saturday, raced it on Sunday. No pinching, chafing, or blistering. Extremely comfortable, very fast. Goodbye Nike Air Diegos, hello, Asics Gel-DS Trainer IXs!

 |  | My first experience with Zappos.com was during the winter a few years ago when I needed a pair of silver sandals to wear during the holidays. I saw Zappos.com advertised at the airport and thought to see what they were about. The rest is history. During that search for sandals I had as many as nine pairs here to try. They came the day after I ordered them via FedEx and those I didn't choose (I ended up with two pairs) I put back in the box, taped it shut, attached the prepared return label they had enclosed with the shipment, and dropped them off at the packaging store that same day. They were gone almost as easily as walking away from a pile of tried on rejects in the department store! Since then I use them more than 70% of the time when I am shoe shopping. There really isn't anything quite like trying on shoes with the clothes in my closet as well as trying for fit and comfort. It's an ideal way to buy shoes and I highly recommend it!
