Not so good...
I ordered these from Zappos and they felt pretty good when I first put them on. Now that I have had them for two weeks, I am unimpressed. My feet hurt after every day in them now. Additionally, the insole is coming unglued on both shoes. I've never owned Bostonians before, and I don't think I will again. They look great, though.

Good shoe, bad footbed - The shoes are very comfortable. The leather on the footbed has an overlap right under the ball of the foot. When I walked, it rolled up and bunched up. I 'fixed' it with a little fabric tape.

Outstanding fit... even better service -
Bostonian Marcos are good looking and very comfortable, but it is Zappos’ customer service that wins the prize. I ordered my shoes at 11pm on the website and requested free ground shipping that is supposed to take 5 business days. My shoes, however, arrived the next afternoon! Marvelous - keep it up!

A good comfortable conservative shoe -
The only reason for not granting 5 stars is that I have not worn these many times yet. However, the shoe is attractive and dressy, primarily due to contrasting textures in the leather, without being over the top in normal activities full wingtips can be.

Great Experience -
I am a first time Zappos customer. I feel so fortunate to have finally found a source for narrow shoes. The shoes were a great fit and the service was unreal. I felt that maybe the shoes had been returned (a little scuffed on the soles and a slight scratch on the toe of one shoe).

You do not have to break the shoes in, the leather is soft and flexible. The shoes are really comfortable and look good.

GREAT OVERALL -
Bostonian shoes fit my foot shape like a glove. I have a few different pairs - Akron, Bancroft, and this one, and they all fit great. Bostonian's seem to be made to fit a REAL HUMAN foot, i.e., with a wide toe box but narrow heel and instep. My Marco's say Made in ITALY, which maybe explains why they are supremely comfortable all day and look great shined up. The leather is really soft. FYI one of my Bostonian's is made in INDIA (Akron), and the leather seems to have weird lines it it after maybe 1 year.

Great shoe for the money -
One of the best shoes I have purchased in this price range. Only took about 3 times of wearing these to break them in. The contrasting leathers make this shoe appear to have cost 3-4 times as much. I haven't had these long enough to see how they wear, but so far they are doing fine. I would recommend these shoes to anyone that wants a good dress shoe. You won't find a better looking shoe in this price range. Zappos was great as always.

This shoe seems to be higher quality than others in the price range and looks great. The wide sizes are actually wide. As soon as I got the shoes I wore them for four days at a conference. They were fairly comfortable right out of the box. There was a little soreness after wearing them the first day but much less than dress shoes I've had in the past. These shoes tend to rub just a little under the ankle, but again, much less than other shoes. Overall, a pretty good shoe that I would buy again.

For reasonably priced dress shoes that are both comfortable and stylish you cannot beat Bostonian's. The Marco is a wonderful shoe, although not as comfortable as my other Bostonian's. But they are breaking in well and look great. Great shoe for the money.

I had to return these shoes - but I love them!
Out of the box, these shoes felt as if the last were molded from my own feet. The fit was perfect in size and width. The calfskin felt as smooth as silk. The problem I have, though, is that I am older and overweight. During a walk over my carpeting I felt that the cushioning was going to prove inadequate for the bottoms of my feet. - So, I had to return the perfect (almost) shoe!! One other matter. You should be aware that the pictures of the shoe do not show that the mid-upper (behind the vamp) is finished in pebble-grain, while the vamp and the back are smooth. Just a style item; not a problem.

I was doing a search for narrow dress shoes and came across this shoe. I am a B width and usually buy Ferragamo's because they are one of the very few that still offer B widths. Thought I would give both this shoe and Zappos a try since the picture looked great and I didn't really want to spend the money on Ferragamo's. Love the shoe and love Zappos. Don't get me wrong, this is not the same quality as a hand made Italian shoe, but it IS a very good looking shoe at a great price. It is a little wider than a true B width, but I wore it for 8 hours straight the very first time and had 0 discomfort. Highly recommend this shoe and Zappos.

I absolutely love these shoes. They were true to size and the narrow width fit me fine. They were very comfortable the first time I wore them and they needed no break-in period. I ordered two sizes from Zappos, just in case, and the return went smooth and very easy. Thank you, Zappos.

Quality Pair of Shoes -
Good, comfortable pair of shoes. These shoes get numerous comments from co-workers and on-lookers. They feel like they were broken in at the factory so wearing them at first is like wearing a shoe you have been accustomed to for quite a while. For someone with high arches in their feet, I would recommend arch supports as these shoes are kind of "flat footed". I'll certainly buy another pair.

I am about to acquire my third pair of this model in black. I bought my first pair in 2004 whilst in Gainesville, Florida. They are extremely comfortable and yet very stylish. With a good shine they solicit an acclaimed "wow" reaction from on-lookers.

These are excellent in styling and quality but they are some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've owned. I've tried them with insoles and with out and I can only wear them for short periods of time. Forget about standing in a line somewhere.

A Tale of Two Pairs -
I ordered 2 pairs of Bostonian Marcos; one black & one brown. Zappos.com sent one black, and the other one was a burgundy Stacy Adams! I got on the phone, & arranged to return the Stacey Adams & have them send the brown Bostonian...Meanwhile, I like the black pair they sent... excellent quality. Of course they are not broken in yet & still have that "new shoe" stiffness.

Better Than Expected -
Unbelievable comfort right out of the box. After wearing this shoe for a few hours, I took them to a three day convention. I never expected to wear them every day thinking they would need breaking in. I was wrong. Very comfortable for hours. Good looking for comfort, not frumpy. I did get a wide for sock room.

I have been wearing this shoe for about two weeks now and it feels good. During the first week I had blisters on my heels and had to put band aids on to prevent the shoe from hurting too bad, after a week the shoe feels great.
