Vogs -
I've been looking for a pair of good boots like these for a while... unfortunately, I couldn't find any with silver hooks... until my Vogs.
I've heard a lot of cases of these being a half or a full size smaller than marked. I wear a 10 and I ordered a 10, and they fit perfectly.
No bunching at the ankle (a blessing), and they look good.
Motorcycle-ish, Militant, and generally just cool.

Like other Fluevogs, this boot is very beautifully constructed and immediately comfortable. Unfortunately the shaft is quite narrow and when laced up it looks "bulgy" over the calf. It also looks too busy with the silver speed lacers (the extra speed lacers are a great idea). I would most defintely keep these boots if the shaft was a little wider, and if the hardware was black instead of silver.

Motorcycle boots -
I waited to review these until I had time to ride my bike in them. They seem to perform nicely. I also went walking in them and they were very comfortable from the first day. I was glad I ordered a larger size than I usually wear. (91/2 not 81/2.)

Do not buy if you are short -
This shoe is a beautiful color of red/burgundy and is very comfortable. However, all the lacing in the front, with the silver tabs and black shoe laces, make it too busy-looking for a short person. Also, the heel should be half an inch taller. Buy this shoe if you are tall and 1/2 size bigger than your usual size.

Best boot yet -
I looked at several different brands of this boot style, but decided on the Fluevog after reading others' reviews. It was the best decision I could have made. The leather is excellent quality - soft and supple. There is no wearing in period - a fact other brand owners may use as a badge of honor, but really, who wants to "earn" four weeks worth of blisters? From day one, these boots were comfortable and, of course, wicked.
The size thing is an issue. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered mine a half size larger, but that still was too small. I may just have mutant feet, but I needed a full size larger.
If you want boots that don't feel like they're made of some type of yak leather, look great, don't take twenty minutes to lace (did I mention the speedhooks are a big bonus?), and are truly wearable from day one - these are the boots you should be ordering!

I am sooooo happy with these boots. I agree that sizes run small, I normally wear a 9 but 9.5 fits me perfect in these boots. It's the perfect shade of red, and such soft comfy leather. Did I mention I love these boots?

Fluevog never fails -
I have been scoping this shoe out for about maybe 6 months. It was after reading the reviews that I finally took the plunge. I say this b/c boots are terribly difficult for me to find due to the fact that I have freakishly small ankles and calves. And they FIT. They don't bag or bunch at the ankles, and I don't have to tie them to the point tha they would. Also, I am glad to read the reviews b/c all shoes size differently. I wear a UK6, EU39, and a US 8-8 1/2. I ordered the 9 and tey fit beautifully. The box toe rocks and there is a sharp exponential increase in the cuteness quotient. Even my dog thinks so.

tough but not too -
I was excited to get these boots as they were the first I could ever get around my calves! The leather is beautifully soft and they are quite comfortable. I'm a teacher and wear these to school with skirts or dresses at least once a week in the cold months.

These boots are the best! Just like many others, I receive compliments anytime I am wearing these. They are extremely comfortable, great for dancing and sexy! These do run a little small. Thus, I had to get a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. These boots are worth every penny!

Awesome boots.
I just got these boots and they are absolutely cool. Edgy, but also feminine. And so comfortable! They do run small, as other people have said.

Fantastic Boots!
I LOVE this boot. Normally, I would not spend this much on a pair of boots, but these were SO worth it. I have really small ankles and thin calves and it is hard to find a snug fitting boot- this one is perfect. The leather is soft and supple - no break in period necessary. These are also much lighter than other knee-hi boots.

Kickass boots -
I got these boots for work, waitressing, and I must say it's the wisest investment I've ever made. I wear them 5 nights a week...incredibly comfortable, and I can't tell you how many compliments I get every night. Definitely worth every penny. I ordered them a 1/2 size big based off other reviews and they fit well.

The shoes are well made and I am confident that they will last me a long time. The only thing I would have preferred is if the hooks for the laces were in black. Besides that it is extremely comfortable and fits perfectly!

Great Boot!
This is a great lightweight, stylish boot. I followed the advice of the other reviews, and ordered a little bigger. It is a very narrow boot, so if you have wide feet, I would not recommend it for you. I have a very narrow foot, and ordered a half size bigger, it was a perfect fit. I thought that I would have to break them in, but they were comfortable from the first time I put them on. I also like the fact that despite the height of the boot, and the thick sole, they are SUPER light.I love these boots!

Great boot, but very small!
These are great looking - but they were way too small. Thes size was definitely not a 9.5 and the calf was really narrow. If you are willing to lace them up every day - then get a size bigger and go for it!

Great looking boot with a small problem -
These are the best looking boots I have ever seen. They are pretty comfortable, too, which is important to me. The only problem I have with them is the laces are too short! I am considered a slim person, and I am tall. I had to search the internet for long enough laces and have ordered some from England. They recommend 102" laces for 20 eyelet boots and the boot comes with 86" ones. I can get them laced up, but with barely enough string to tie.

After wearing for a day and comparing, the size 10 is actually a better fit for a men's size 7.5.

I couldn't find men's Dr. Martens 9663's in my size so I bought these instead. The fit, feel and looks are incredible. Leather is soft. The women's size 9.5 fit my men's size 7.5 feet perfectly. They really should be classified as UNISEX. It was a thankful coincidence that my size was out in Men's Dr. Martens.
