This is my second pair of this style. First pair lasted over 3 years of hard use. I decided to try the Dansko Cameron but they are heavier than the Karl style. I returned them and reordered the Karl. These seem to greatly help alleviate a long term lower back problem.

I always wear Dansko clogs and these live up to the quality and comfort that Dansko provides. A bit snug at first but in time wear in nicely.Just be sure of your European size before ordering.

After searching for clogs locally to no avail, I found Zappos. I ordered a pair of Dansko's which arrived in 2 days (best shipping arrangement I have ever found) I wore them the first day, and literally found the best shoe that I've ever worn. I like them so much I ordered a second pair (different color) just 3 weeks later. I love Dansko. The entire purchasing process was the best that I have experienced. I will now only consider Zappos in the future.

These are the only shoes my husband wears for work where he is on his feet for 14 hours. He has been wearing clogs for over 30 years, and loves his Danskos.

This is my fourth pair of Dansko clogs and my second pair of Dansko Karls. I bought the first pair in this style 5 years ago and swore that if they ever needed replacing, I’d buy them again. My 5 year old pair are still going strong, but I just needed another pair so I could switch every day. I also own 2 pair of Dansko Professionals. I have arthritis in my hip and back, and when I step into my Danskos, the pain instantly disappears. I highly recommend these to anyone that spends a lot of time on their feet. To me, it’s Dansko forever!
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Sanita (Emeril Lagasse wears them) are similar to Dansko.

What a great shoe. Not being able to wear a open toe shoe at work, I purchased the open back Dansko Carl and I love them. I wear them every day. I have purchased a closed back heel for the winter. Just be sure to buy one size up.

I bought these shoes for work where I am standing most of the time for up to 10 hours a day. They are very comfortable and now I wear them all the time, working or not. I wear size 10 to 10.5 shoes and the size 44 fits me well. Zappos delivery was unbelievably fast, and I would order shoes from them again.

Comfortable clog -
My husband wears these for work -- he is on his feet for 10 hour shifts. He loves these! He has a wide foot and these fit great. They are snug at first -- but the leather gives and they fit perfectly. I wear the women's clogs -- for comfort, they are my shoe of choice!

Are Clogs For Me????
Getting past the geek factor, these shoes are very, very comfortable and give support to the foot in a unique way. Give yourself a few days before you make up your mind on how they feel and you will be hooked. I went with the next larger size and they were perfect.

Very Pleased... As Usual!
I bought a pair of Dansko clogs over 10 years ago and they finally succumbed to years of wear and tear. I was tearful to part with them and decided that it was time to order a new pair. I find that the Dansko brand is the best out there. True to size and width, the comfort level is incredible and I can walk in these for hours on end! I just wish they came in additional colors.

Dansko Clog -
This is my second pair of Dansko clogs. First pair lasted me ten years. I just could not wear them out. This footwear is the most comfortable I have ever worn. Highly recommend particularly if you are looking for comfort and durability.

I love these shoes. I did need to order one size larger but now they fit great. I work in the food industry and spills just wipe off. The arch support is great. The wider toe gives you plenty of wiggle room.

I deliver kegs all day long, after going through numerous pairs of cheap steel toes from a store I gave these a try. 3 months later they are still as comfortable as the day they came out of the box. No complaints! I'll buy another pair if these ever wear out!

I love my new shoes!
I work in the Operating Room and am on my feet all day. I asked several people about Danskos before making my purchase, every person that I spoke with that wears them, swears by them... now I do, too! I ordered a full size larger and have a perfect fit!

The Professional - nothing else like it -
This is my 4th pair. Excellent for standing all day in the OR. Thick and shiny leather is impermeable to body fluids, and the footbed is comfortable and eases low back pain.

These are great shoes!
For the past several years, my husband was wearing a similar type of shoe sold as a chef’s clog - and he loved them, but after reading many reviews on Zappos, I decided to order these for him. He loves them! He thought the old shoes were great, but he says these are ten times better! The fit, the arch support, the heel cushioning, and the durability are first class - we have also used Zappos and are 100% satisfied with the way they do business.

I have worn Dansko clogs for years and they are very comfortable, after a brief break-in period for me. The first couple of weeks I wear with socks while the leather gets more pliable. After that I don't need socks and the Karl is great for slipping on an off around the house or running an errand. Generally in EU sizes I wear a 44 or a 45. With Dansko I take a 45.

Very comfortable with not much break-in time. For my wide foot, the projected correct size 44 was too short; a 45 was perfect.

What I expected -
The Dansko Karl shoes I ordered are just what I hoped they would be - sturdy, functional, and fairly comfortable. The soles are a bit hard (some sort of plastic), but the fit is perfect. Very workable, sturdy shoes.

OB/GYN -
I have had these shoes for 3 years. They have withstood gurneys rolling over my toes, fluid spills in surgery and obstetric deliveries and are odor resistant. I polish them with regular black shoe polish and they still look brand new. I can wear 8.5-10 depending on the width of shoe. Best is 8.5 extra, extra wide and size 43 worked out for me. I will purchase another pair when these finally retire, if that ever happens. I love being able to quickly slip in and out. I never take the elevator and always take the stairs and have no problems. I've had Birkenstocks in the past and felt that these were more comfortable and durable.
