This is a FABULOUS SHOE!!! I loved the pair that I received. They have that handcrafted feel and look that is so irresistible. I couldn't bear to wear them at first because they are so beautiful. They are the most comfortable shoe of all the shoes on Zappos that I have purchased. Earth brand shoes are truly made for comfort. Absolutelly worth every penny!!!

At first I thought they would be too heavy and clunky, but after trying them they were really comfy and easy to walk in. I even got my husband a pair of Pioneers by Earth.

Sandals Squeak -
I bought a pair of black Melissa sandals this summer and the first pair squeaked with every step so I called and was sent a new pair in exchange, BUT the new pair still squeaks. I love the sandal, the looks and the feel, but hate the squeak. If it wasn't for this, I would have a pair in brown and the red color Melissas.

5 star plus -
I have three pair of Earth shoes and all are the perfect shoe. This sandal is extremely sturdy and supportive but has the kind of comfort that is like heaven to my feet. At the end of the day, I don't want to take my Earth shoes off! These shoes are worth every bit of their cost, and ordering them through Zappos is a five star plus experience.

Exactly what I wanted -
These shoes are perfect for my horrible feet -- fallen arches, bunions. I wear them all day, everyday and I'm going to buy many, many more pairs of Earth shoes. I never thought I would wear something like this, but I'm converted and ever so happy :)

Works for me!
I spent 3 weeks walking around Italy in June, 2007, 4-6 hrs. per day, in my old pair of Melissa 2. Happy Feet! This pair has a quieter food bed material and is breaking in fast (I have "flat feet") so always have some soreness in the arch area. I love the support and wish EARTH would make this shoe in a BLING model! Add some metallic, gem stones, etc. so they could go dancing.

Great shoes!
This is my second pair, felt great from day one...I had ankle surgery and needed this type of shoe, heels lower than toes, works terrific in this style.

Earth's Melissa 2 ROCKS!
Several years ago I wore Earth Shoes and why I forgot about them I have no idea, but I am back! Melissa 2 is extremely comfortable. Zappos free overnight shipping can't be beat either. Great customer service! I loved these shoes from the moment I put them on.

Finally my feet don't burn!
At the suggestion of my SIL I decided to try Earth shoes and I'm thrilled. I have had pain in the metatarsal region for a few years now and felt these would help. They do!! I've worn them all day and my feet aren't swollen or burning. I'm a convert!

Earth's Melissa Two = Goody Goody Two Shoes/Sandals!!
Yes, two shoes/sandals that fit perfectly from day one...not one blister, corn or callous can be attributed to them. I am an old time fan of Earth shoes and was thrilled when I found a pair a few years ago. I even bought them too small and had them stretched I wanted them so badly. My Birkenstock sandals were beat so, again, I spied the Earth's Melissa 2's at a local shoe store. They were out of my size in Sandstone Eclipse *color*...I had the store special order and they told me it was a NO GO! Zappos.com to the rescue here and I had my EM2s quickly, though, in another color = rosso. I find this color a little bright but still workable with all the colors I do wear for fashion. Service was great, packaging most adequate, and these shoes are definitely NOT SECONDS in any shape or form. As for style...well, they're not the barely there strapless sort of thongy things, however, I prefer substantial, comfortable footwear and these fit the bill. The velcro keeps them on securely and the footbed is extremely comfortable. My legs don't fatigue; as advertised, my posture improves with the wearing. I'd recommend this sandal for the active user/walker! Cheers.

Down to Earth Comfort -
Easily one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I was able to wear it for a full day the first time I wore it. It felt already "broken in."

Earth’s Melissa 2 shoes-
I really love my new sandals by Earth. They look good and feel good. I was having problems with my posture and these shoes definitely help. They also help my back problems as I was also having sciatica especially when I wore flip-flops and high heels. I am going to buy more shoes. The shoe fits true to size. I have a very high arch and it is hard to find shoes that are comfortable for me. I like that they also make your calves look shapelier.

Comfort At Last -
I feel like I've been trying on shoes forever. These are my first Earth shoes. The pain on the ball of my foot is non-existent with these shoes. Sizing felt quite true. However, my toes are right at the end of the sandal so in a closed toe I'm trying a half size larger. The adjustable velcro straps help assure a comfortable and secure fit. I love the cushioned feel of this footbed. I've just ordered my second pair of Earth shoes. Zappos customer service is beyond awesome.

Very Comfortable -
I decided to try these Earth sandals on the recommendation of my twin sister who has several pairs of Earth shoes. I was not disappointed! I have bunions and found these sandals to be very comfortable as well as nice looking. The foot is surrounded by soft quality leather. The Velcro straps make it easy to adjust the fit. The only problem I noticed as did several other reviewers is the noise that is sometimes made as you walk. I am a little conscious of the noise. It could be a bit of an embarrassment if worn in a quiet location. Otherwise, a great sandal and would highly recommend.

This is the best sandal on planet. When I received my sandals I couldn’t wait to try them on, I put these sandals on and my feet melted in the sandal, my feet were singing for joy telling me it’s about time you found me the bomb sandal. Thanks Earth shoe for being my friend.

I don't think they could get any better...
These sandals are more than I anticipated. They look great and are wonderfully comfortable. I wear them constantly and would like to eventually buy several pair of them. Earth shoes have surpassed all of the other brands that I have worn for comfort and support. Between their quality and Zappos' super service, shoe shopping has become fun again.

Wonderful except for the buckle -
I loved these in every way except the buckle rubbed on my ankle. Had to return them for this reason. Otherwise the shoes were extremely comfortable.

Last year I purchased the Melissa 2 in Sandstone Eclipse 7 wide. I wear a 7 1/2. They fit perfectly; however, I wouldn't consider them especially wide. They are very comfortable. Recently I ordered the same shoe, same color, same size because I thought I'd have one pair to cut the back strap off. The back strap is comfortable but sometimes when it's extremely humid, it tends to rub. I have sensitive feet. At the same time I ordered the Melissa 2 in Ochre size 7 medium. The weird thing is that the Wide is hardly wider than the Medium width. Another weird thing is that this year's Melissa 2 Sandstone 7 Wide is way too tight on top. If I pulled the straps over to completely cover the velcro, it was almost an inch too tight. The other pair, Melissa 2 Ochre 7 Med. actually fit like last year's Sandstone 7 Wide. So, if you are not ordering the medium width thinking you have to have a wide, you might reconsider. The Ochre is a beautiful rich brownish color and not as orange as it appears in the photo. I also tried the two strap Earth Magnitude and the problem I had with that sandal was that the 7 seemed too long and the 6 1/2 too short. The medium width was wider than the Wide. This was the case with a several pair. That's when I decided to just make my own two strap sandals from the 2nd pair of Melissa 2's. Everybody's feet are different so order some in various sizes and you be the judge. Zappos understands that you won't know until you try them one. Great company with free shipping both ways they make it so easy.

The best Earth shoe -
After buying several different pairs of Earth shoes of all types, I finally found THE PERFECT ONE. With all the other shoes, my foot slid backwards, or the laces could not be tied tight enough for my somewhat narrow foot. This Melissa sandal is just wonderful for anyone new to Earth shoes. It has ample toe room and fits a narrow heel. I just wish it came in more colors. This is going to be the pair of sandals I wear all summer. I never thought I would find sandals better than the Birkenstock Arizona, but this one has the Arizona beat.

This sandal is so comfortable...
It may not be the prettiest, but this sandal has the comfort to allow you to walk all day without having dog-tired feet come nightfall. The slightly higher toes really help to improve your posture, and the footbed is very supportive. I live in AZ where hot feet are a constant problem, but these sandals allow me to forget about my feet. Plenty of toe wiggle room. The insides of the straps are very soft, eliminating the worry about blisters.
