The size difference compared to cork Birkenstocks -
These sandals are just beautiful but too bad they are a bit narrower and shorter than my regular Birkenstock size! Having flat feet has caused my feet to grow a little weirdly so I have this bone on the side of my foot that curves out a little too much. With the regular width in Birkenstock, there is enough room width-wise for my weird bone to plant itself comfortably into the footbed and I expected the same in these Birki's until I tried them on. Because these Birki's are narrower, my bone nudges against the edge of the footbed on the inside under the first strap, so it causes some discomfort. These sandals are also a bit too short and because my toes are longer on the left foot, my big toe now sticks out of the rim of the toe area which looks a bit weird as well (I had no problems with cork Birkenstocks). Luckily, this footbed is made of a softer material than the traditional cork so having my big toe on the rim doesn't hurt me! Last thing is the arch support seems a little toned down compared to Birkenstocks. There seems to be no break-in time necessary. If only these sandals were cut exactly like the traditional Birkenstocks then they would be a great alternative if you want to wear them around water!!

I ordered these because of other reviews, but I have THIN NARROW feet & they just don't fit my kind of feet. The sole would be very hard to get used to. These are for the beach or water. Very colorful.

No-slip shoes -
Because of a serious foot injury last winter, I had been having a hard time keeping stable footing in the shower, even with a shower chair. But these shoes give me stable footing no matter where I am, how wet, or how soapy I get. Great gift for your elderly friends and relatives.

Cuteness in a shoe -
How can you go wrong with a shoe this adorable? This shoe exudes personality on your feet. I ordered them Wednesday afternoon and got them Thursday morning. They fit nicely and are so colorful. I feel like summer is on my feet the moment I put these cute shoes on.
My last pair of Birkenstocks lasted 8 years. I just decided it was time to replace them. I expect these to last just as long.

OMG these are the cutes Birkis I have ever seen, my nickname is Strawberry Shortcake so they fit me well, not only on my feet, but as my they truly reflect my personality as well...I definitely love Birkenstocks, I was afraid not having the cork bottom, but I love them and I highly recommend them…

I LOVE my Sansibars!!
This is my all-time favorite shoe. I'm on my second pair of Sansibars. The first lasted for two years, worn nearly every day except in the coldest weather (we are from the South). Finally this month when I got them out to wear again, I noticed a split in one of the soles. So I ordered these strawberry-print Birkis, and they are just as fine as my previous pair!
To me, these shoes are more comfortable than the traditional cork soled Birkenstocks. I'm not sure why--I think the rubber material just feels cleaner. I hate the way the cork soles look kind of dirty after you wear them for awhile!
I also love how the straps on this style are a bit wider than the straps on the Florida Birkenstock. They cover my foot better, and my foot fits into the footbed of this shoe more comfortably. For some reason, these shoes just look better on my feet than the traditional Birks!
These shoes are super easy to keep clean, as well. The old pair I just tossed still looked really good because they wash off so well.

These rip!
Beautiful patterned shoe, when the pattern is cut right, which has been a problem acknowledged by Birkentstock. But the shoe is somewhat painful on soles of feet due to rubberized material. Bigger problem is that the top of the shoe ripped after only two months! Apparently not very durable.

This is a really fun, comfortable shoe to wear. They are very durable and are water friendly. Every pair has a slightly different pattern...so your shoes will be unique even if your best friend gets a pair too!

I recently bought a pair of the Birki Sansibar shoes in the magazine print. In the picture, they are shown as mostly black and white, but the pair that I received was almost completely red in color. I really like them, but I was expecting something other than I got. With a varied print like that, be aware that you could get something that appears a lot different than the picture!

All I have to say is these sandals are fabulous! They DO have a very thin cloth lining (they aren't plastic on plastic). They are waterproof. They are much cuter in person and VERY comfortable. Perfect for everyday wear not just in or around water. I would definitly recommend these shoes. By the way I bought my same size I alweays wear. GREAT SANDALS!!!!

Sansibar/Mango -
Very disappointed for a Birky. Unlike the Haiti that I bought, the Sansibar is plastic on plastic. The plastic straps have no lining so your foot is surrounded by rubbery plastic--a blister waiting to happen. Not only that, when I adjusted the straps, that didn't lie down. Needless to say they went back. I love my Haiti style Birky's, but not these.

I give Zappos a 100% thumbs up...the Sansibar sandal fits differently than I expected, however--not enough to make me return it--just took a while to get used to the different feel. Zappos was amazingly fast in their delivery and I will be shopping and buying through Zappos again. This was my first time and I'm impressed.

I have been buying Birkenstock knock-offs for the last few years and wanted 'real' ones this year. These sandals are very cute. I got the magazine style and they go with much of my summer clothing. I have been wearing these around the house, to walk and play with the dog, and other recreational activities. I had a teeny bit of chafing near the big toe, which is gone now. Other than that, these shoes are a gem and don't slide off my feet when it's wet outside! Usually I can't wear a 36, but these fit really well.

It has white in it, then a peach color, that deepens into a mango color and I've gotten more compliments on it than you could imagine. It's light and cool for the summer, but also has that great support system for your feet that the Birks are known for.

The fit for the Sansibar was different than any other Birkenstock I have worn. Instead of ordering my size in regular width, I needed to order one size larger in a narrow width.

This is a cute birki, but not that comfortable. I have a narrow foot, and even with a narrow width shoe, it is really too big so my feet slosh around. But I love the color, and the fact that the shoe is rainproof.

Awesome wet weather sandal -
I don't wear many other shoes other than Birkenstocks. These shoes are so great because you get the comfort and the great fun look and don't have to worry about any leather getting wet!
Love these shoes and they come in so many fun patterns.

I loved the look of the Sansibar but the regular width shoe ran too narrow for my feet. I sadly had to return them. Customer Service people were great to deal with.

I purchased these shoes for my sister as a birthday present. My Mother and I have several pairs of Birkis and she wanted a vibrant pair. Her birthday is fast-approaching and I'm sure she'll find that these shoes are as comfortable as mine and our mother's shoes.
