Tight across the top -
The top of my foot has a high arch. These shoes have an elastic gore inside the shoe that goes across the top of your foot. I wear a size 8 in virtually all shoes and could not get this across the top of my foot. It is very restricting. If you have a wide foot or the top of your foot is high, these will be uncomfortable. Nice looking shoe, though and I usually wear NB!

New Balance are made for walking!
I love the feel and look of this shoe. They are very comfortable and true to size. It's a great walking shoe which I was looking for. The mesh allows air to circulate the shoe and keeps your feet dry.

Easy walking -
I walk two miles every morning and was using a running shoe. But I can tell that this feels much better for my heel and whole foot. The whole shoe is light and flexible.

Best Walking Shoe!!!
I think these are the best walking shoes. Very lightweight and comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes. I wear a 9 wide and walk an average of 2 miles 4-5 times a week. I never felt any pain during or after my walk from shoes!!!

Love these for walking -
Love these shoes for walking and for work (also, a lot of walking). Comfortable, lightweight, easy. Fits my very narrow feet. My only wish is that they came in different colors.

New Balance A Winner -
There was a time when I had to order 1/2 size larger in a New Balance to get a proper fit but not with this shoe -- the sizing and width are accurate. I love the white as they go with anything and comfort just comes naturally with New Balance. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who works out at the gym, walks around the block or just likes a comfortable tennis shoe...

Low slung -
It is difficult to get used to the almost non-existent tongue and the low design of the shoe. They are light weight and comfortable. Too soon to tell if they will hold up to usage.

Bought the W574 leather and didn't like it at all. The heel is off balance on the right shoe. I'll try to return it to New Balance. I bought this one and love it. It is great for wide feet. It is true to size and very light. It could have a bit more cushioning, but still very comfortable.

Great Shoe.
I like this shoe a lot. The only problem I had with it was the back rubbing against my heal when I first got them. Otherwise, it is a very comfortable shoe.

Maybe I should by my sneakers at the mall.
I love New Balance sneakers usually and I liked these for the cleanness of the all-white look plus the aeration provided by the construction that lets your foot "breathe." Unfortunately the fit is a little off, my heels rub against the back of the shoe and I have to put band-aids on my feet if I don't want them to blister. Not the most comfortable sneaker. Also had to put my orthodics in it because the arch wasn't as high as I like.

Comfortable walking sneakers -
Comfortable walking sneakers. I walk about 30 miles a week and my feet and toes don’t hurt after walking in them. They are a little too short around the ankle area to wear with orthotics, but they have great arch support. They are mostly white fabric in the toe area/top of foot area, and get dirty easy if walking in dusty areas.

Most Comfortable Sneakers -

Not good for high insteps -
I ordinarily like New Balance shoes because the arch support is in a good place for me. But this shoe's 'stability web' turns out to be a high arch killer! My arch is extremely high and I often have trouble with shoes that have elastic across the top. So it's not surprising that this isn't comfortable - I just didn't realize that's what the stability web would do.

Good, cool shoe -
The mesh seems very breathable, making the shoe cooler to wear. I prefer a slightly higher back on a shoe because of an orthodic, however, this shoe does work and there is no slipping up and down.

Comfortable, cute looking and functional -
I bought these sneakers to accommodate orthotics that are being made from my podiatrist to help my plantar facitiitis. I wore the sneakers prior to picking up the orthotics and found enough relief while wearing them to resume some of my walking and jogging exercise that I have been in too much pain to do. They have decent support and they're nice looking as well.

New Balance has a pretty consistent product. These shoes fit well and are comfortable right out of the box. I did order a 1/2 size larger to be able to wear a good thick sock with them but the fit is still good.

The best shoe.
This is the best shoe I have ever owned. Immediately it felt so comfortable. I absolutely love them and recommend them 100%. They are well worth the 80 bucks.

 |  | Dear Tony, Recently over the Memorial Day weekend my father in law passed away. I had a dress that I wanted to wear to the funeral the following week, but I didn't have shoes that I thought would be comfortable. I went online to Zappos and found a pair of shoes that I hoped would reach me in time. In the ordering process I made a mistake and a customer service representative called me to follow up on the mistake. You'll have to forgive me, because of the circumstances of the weekend, I can't remember exactly what happened. At any rate, the lady was extremely nice and told me the shoes probably wouldn't ship until Tuesday, due to the fact that Monday was Memorial Day. I mentioned my father in law's passing and that I wanted the shoes for the Wednesday funeral. We both thought that the shoes wouldn't get to me until Wednesday. They did come on Tuesday. So the long and the short of it is: Thank you so much for everything you and your customer service agents did. The shoes came in plenty of time for me to wear on Wednesday morning - although unfortunately they were not the right color, but also, somebody from your organization sent me flowers for the passing of my father in law. Excellent customer service doesn't even begin to describe it. I was awestruck when the flowers came. Never in a million years would I ever have thought that an Internet store would send flowers to me. I don't know that lady's name and if she had a hand in the flowers, but I would like to send a thank you to her, too, but mostly I wanted somebody in charge to know what a great company and employees I think you have. You have gone so far beyond good customer service you're in the stratosphere of excellent customer service. I think it goes without saying that I will forever be a very loyal Zappos.com customer. I just wish there were a way I could thank you more publicly. I have told everyone and anyone that would listen what you have done. It was just great. If you could please pass on my many thanks and much appreciation to your customer service agent I would appreciate it.
