These are so comfy, even more than other Birkenstocks. In suede, it's like wearing a hug on your feet! They're less commonly seen, so a little more unique, too.

These immediately became my new favorite shoes. My mom ordered the same pair a hour after I got mine. These shoes are so soft, and don\'t have any pressure points like some sandals do. Extremely cute on. I want to order another pair just in case I lose these! HIGHLY recommended!! If only there was a higher rating - 100 stars!

The Best - I feel rather sheepish admitting that I have an addiction to Birkenstocks. (I have about 50 pair). They are all wonderful for the health of your foot. I have bunions, among other foot problems. This is just about the only brand I can wear without pain. If I had to get rid of all of my Birkenstocks except 5 pair, this would be the first style I would keep. When I come home from work, it's nice to slip into these Zurichs. They feel like bedroom slippers. They are so kind and gentle on your feet. My other favorite would be the Arizona, Boston, and Gizeh, and Paris. There - see, I narrowed it down to 5 pair. Of course, I love all of their styles, and they are all wonderful. If I were forced to narrow my choice down to just one pair, I would pick the Zurich in taupe suede. They are pure Birkenstock, and pure joy to wear. You'll never regret owning a pair of these.

There’s no beating Birkenstock for comfort. Once the footbed gets worn in, your feet just want to be inside of them. Every summer when regular footwear just gets too hot and sweaty, I look forward to pulling out the most simple and comfortable pair of shoes I own... these Zurichs by Birkenstock. They’re perfect with shorts and don’t look too bad with a pair of jeans either. Love ‘em.

These are exceptionally comfortable, quality shoes from Birkenstock. If you like the brand, you will appreciate the comfort and versatility of the Zurich. Zurich can be worn with or without socks, in spring, summer, winter, or fall.

I love this style in the spring. The Zurich is perfect when it is too cold for strappy Birks but you feel over dressed in clogs. These also look so cute with capris and cropped pants. The suede feels so good, too. My only wish is they made more colors.

I am difficult to fit. I added a heel/arch pad and this is one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn. It takes pressure off my lower back where I had surgery and hardware. Took a size smaller than I wear in other shoes.

Hands down the absolute most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I bought two pairs so I can have a play pair and dressier darker color pair. I have several other styles of Birks and I love those too, but these are special.

Follow the leader -
I bought a pair of Zurich's for my husband about ten years ago, and as soon as saw them on his feet I wanted a pair for me. But I never saw a pair in a color that I liked. About four months ago I saw them in a dark green color very similar to a suede coat that I own. As these were my 29th or 30th pair of Birkenstock's I knew that there'd be no break-in time. But the really wide band was different, until I loosened the straps, now they are my favorite pair. So, Zappos use your influence on the company and get them to make lighter and/or brighter colors in this style. I'll be first in line to buy them. My husband was the leader in this style, and I'd like to lead in color.

I love this shoe.

Love My Birks!
I have a lisfranc fracture- meaning a permanent break in my left foot along with no arch. Birkenstocks have been the only thing I have been able to wear for 5 years. The Zurich is great for NE winters to wear with socks. Love my Birks!

LOVE my Birkenstock Zurich sandal!
This is a reload of a Zurich sandal that I had bought at a Birkenstock store, which they were out of (what, all Summer long?). I needed a new pair, old ones bought in '03 were falling apart. I like these 'cause they are like slippers in a way. Still get the orthotic support that I need. Thanks Zappos for getting these to me in 1 DAY! Woohoo, customer for LIFE! GREAT service, nice to call up on the phone and whoosh, right to your door! BUY here with confidence! I'm lovin' it!

Review of my Birkenstocks - I bought this pair of "Birkies" because after 10 years on wearing them in all kinds of weather, they finally had to go. I hope to get as much wear with these as I did the last ones, and I'm sure I will. I can wear them with or without socks, which makes them a perfect shoe. Also love the way they mold to my foot. Reflexology Is Proven In This Shoe -
What evidence in a shoe! Comfort. Almost like a massage for my feet. There isn't another word for this nubuck Zurich. I purchased this to wear instead of my usual flip flops. The sole does conform to your foot in time with your foot's warmth. I purchased this as it serves its purpose beautifully. I will purchase another style in Birkenstock that's pure comfort. This is durable and the full coverage is nice in cooler weather. Thank you for your excellent customer service and terrific personnel, Zappos. You'll have loyal me as a customer!

Birkenstock Comfort - These shoes are amazingly comfortable all day long. I am on my feet most of the day, and when I come home, I still continue to wear my Birkenstocks. Also, the customer service at Zappos is amazing! My husband ordered Merrill sandals a few days after I ordered the Birkenstocks, and his order came the next day! Thank you Zappos!

My paws -
Birkenstocks are not beautiful. That said, these soft taupe-gray sandals are a pleasure to come home to, to slip into in the morning, to pad about in. I wear them barefoot or in chillier weather with wooly sox. I wear them more than any other shoe I own.

I have a small foot, size 4.5 and these still are a little big on me. But this is not the fault of the shoe. Birkenstock shoes also run a little big.

Great Birks -
Bought these for my husband who has very large feet, and he loves them. He his a manager at a country club, so he is on his feet all day in dress shoes, and these are the first shoes he wants to put on when he gets off work. Of course they took some time to break in, and were uncomfortable at first, but now they fit him perfect.

Liking these more and more -
This is my third pair of Birkenstocks and not the last. The Zurich is one of the original Birks but less clunky somehow than the 2-strap styles and looks good with capris. Years ago I admired these on an acquaintance and finally got a pair. Worth it! This is a nice classic replacement for an old pair of Florida’s worn to death and then lost. I usually wear a 6-1/2 WW and the 36 regular fits about right.

Zurich is a great shoe.
I love my new Zurichs. They look great with or without socks and give a little more protection from the weather than other Birks. I usually wear a size 7 in a regular woman's shoe, but always take 36s ("size 5") in Birks.

New style for me but I like it!
I'm trying the Zurich for the first time and I really like it! It may become my standard Birkenstock, with or without socks. I only wish there were more colors as I expect this light color to get dirty fairly soon. I highly recommend this one!

New Zurich’s after 18 years with my old ones -
Had my old egg-plant purple Zurich’s for over 18 years and wore them rain, snow or shine. Absolutely loved them. Had never seen another pair like them during that time. My friends made a lot of fun about them, but I know deep down inside they really were envious. My wife and daughter had them rebuild two years ago for father's day and my cat recently used them for a litter box and ruined them. I will bury them in the garden this spring and place a memorial next to the site.
Once again Zappos has proven their excellence by having my size in stock (taupe though) and I ordered them yesterday @ 6:00pm and they were shipped from Kentucky and on my doorstep in Carson City, Nevada today @ 2:30pm amazing!!! And the fit was perfect. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Zappos.

Great alternative to Clogs -
My feet are too narrow for clogs, so I thought I'd try Zurich as my "winter" sandal (OK I do live in northern FL, so it isn't usually too cold) to wear with socks. They are the only Birkies that needed a break in, but in 2 days they were fine, at least with socks, which is how I wear them.

 |  | Dear Zappos, Okay, help me understand something. I place an on-line order last evening at about 8:00. I screw up how to use my store credit and can’t figure out how to fix it. I resort to calling your toll free number to fix my stupid mistake and expect to be on hold for at least 20 minutes. Wow is all I can say! A real live person answers the phone in two rings after I debated with myself whether or not to press the option for joke of the day. He corrects my problem and even makes the decision to not charge my credit card for the less than $2 difference between my store credit and the amount due for the running shoes I ordered. On top of this, the shoes were sitting on my doorstep tonight after I came home from work. I even wore them for my evening workout. How dare you do this in less than 20 hours after my mistake! You just set the customer service pole vault bar at 37 feet in my book! Terrific, terrific service. Thank you very much! I now consider myself a customer for life. You all will have to work very hard to make me buy a pair of shoes from another company. I’m new to Zappos and you can bet I will be looking to Zappos for other purchases! Many thanks... my next order will be tomorrow evening so I can surprise my wife with a new pair of Berks she wants, but actually needs... it isn’t always good to want things!
