This Florsheim boot is a classic that has been with Florsheim for many years. I have been wearing them for many years and have replaced them twice with the same boots over these many years. As great as they wear, there comes a time when you want new again. So I replace them. The fit is true to size, they are comfortable, and I recommend highly.

Great boot -
My husband was wary of putting on a boot with a heel this high but he said the fit is excellent for his wide foot and the height feels great for him...it's his new favorite.

Florsheim Duke Boot Review -
1. The Florsheim duke boots are great. Exactly what I wanted. I had worn Florsheim Half Wellingtons before and had missed some of the qualities that only boots can deliver. I am "back home" again.
2. The amazingly expeditious handling of the order is most appreciated... 2 or 3 days and I had my boots... I had expected a couple of weeks.

Nice boots; little bit too much of a heel to them. Make SURE to order one size larger. If you normally wear a 10 than order a 10 and a half. Safe thing with width. If you wear medium D width order an EE. Thin leather soles; if you wear them a lot you'll probably get a hole. Haven't had a chance to see how the zippers hold up. Overall, I'm satisfied. Felt true to size with above caveats.

Why a 4?
I was wearing a pair of the duke boots while I was ordering another pair. And another pair in the closet. But why give 4? If you take it into context with a boot which I believe was one of my best you will understand, this boot A{moreschi)was like part of your body when you wore it. But if not for this I would give it a 10. I have a pair of sountoni which were made in Italy and compared to the Duke (less expensive) Don't know how to spell last shoe.
Great service, consideration, and a great boot. I will be back to your store.

For the money, this boot is hard to beat. You're unlikely to find a pair of boots as durable and stylish as these anywhere in the same price range. The leather is top quality, and they shine up very nicely for special occasions while still looking just fine with jeans. You can't go wrong with these. You'll get a lot of looks and comments from others, too. The heel makes the Duke perfect for shorter guys, and they certainly have a classic look to them.

Florsheim quality and great looks. I did follow advice found here, and ordered E width instead of my usual D width. The fit is perfect. It took less than 24 hours to receive my boots. Zappos service: WOW!

Just what I wanted -
Very comfortable for a high heel boot (I'm short). Top of boot is high enough that pants drape easily over the boot and don't get caught in the boot. Shipment was so fast it was surprising.

One of the best boots you can find -
Excellent shoe, excellent service. One word of caution: the top diameter is quite narrow, so if you have wide calves, the shoe might not fit in that part. If you don't, then you'll love the way it makes your feet look!

Great looking shoe boot for us 5'10" and under guys!
I was looking for a nice looking shoe that had more than a half inch heel like so many others. This has a larger heel for a nice looking shoe-boot, and can give you an extra inch!

Good dress boot -
I bought this boot to wear with jeans and a nice shirt or sweater. Based on previous reviews, I went up a half size (from 11 to 11.5) and went for the 3E width. This turned out to be a good fit as the shoe is European styled.

I been buying these since I got off of the South Shore and walked to Chernens...but buy them at least a 1/2 size larger and a full width larger. I work in a band and there is no such thing as breaking them in to fit your foot!

Unbelievable Service!
First the boots: fine Florsheim quality, which is to be expected. They seem a bit tight width-wise, but I'm sure they'll loosen up after they're broken in. Now, as to Zappos service: I ordered these boots last night (Thanksgiving at 8PM). They were at my door this morning at 10 AM. How did they do that? Not only did I place the order after business hours, but on a holiday and the boots were on my feet in 14 hours. When these people say free overnight delivery, they aren't kidding. Zappos gets all my shoe business from now on. Very professional.

This is a very good price for a leather boot. Although the fit is a bit snug, it wasn't a problem for me because I have narrow feet. Just make sure you know what your width size is when you order. Zappos delivery was superb. I will recommend Zappos to anyone who needs fast, efficient service.
