Most comfortable shoe -
This is the most comfortable shoe that can pass for a work shoe. Very roomy inside and the padded sole is extremely cushioning and absorbing.

I was highly disappointed in these shoes given the fact that the heel on the left shoe just fell apart after 60 days. It looks like a small bomb was planted inside the heel and just exploded outward. I just noticed this today as I got home from work, which is why I am writing this now. They were shaping up to be a nice, comfortable pair of shoes.

My husband has a hard time finding shoes. His feet are EEEs all the way to his toes. We are going to be walking through the Netherlands, so I ordered these shoes for him. They are the first pair of shoes, other than walking sports shoes like tennis shoes that fit everywhere. He could walk 2 miles the first day he got them. He didn't need to break them in.

Solution for heel problem -
I have been wearing Deer Stag Supro sole shoes for a number of years since I found that the unique heel design solved a nagging foot problem.
Also, quality is good sizing is accurate, even though the selection in that design is limited.

I bought these shoes for my husband to wear to a wedding this summer... He said they feel very comfortable...He wore them when we went out, and said they felt great...using them mostly for semi-dressy occasions.

The shoes look and are made just fine. I ordered the same size and width of all my other shoes. These seem to be wider even though they have a "M " tag. I wore them before I discovered this.

I ordered the black shoes and they are very comfortable. The right shoe felt a little snug (width) the first time I wore them, but they are fine now. I liked them so much that I ordered the same shoe in brown. It is a more reddish brown (which I prefer anyway) than I expected and on these I also found the right shoe a little snug the first time I wore them. They fit fine now and I am very happy with both pairs of shoes and with the quick service from Zappos.

Very comfortable shoe. I am on my feet all day in a concrete floored manufacturing company. My feet don't feel as tired at the end of the day. Bought a number of Deer Stags styles and all go very well with Dockers. I strongly recommend them!

I work for US Airways and have to go through security at airports across the country. The Creek does not have to be taken off, and passes without incident. It is comfortable and fairly nice looking. Overall, a great shoe.

Nice Shoe, concerned about long-term -
This shoe is very comfy, the crazy insole with a cushion thing is cool, but I worry about the compression and tearing during long-term wear. The style is quite nice, but le me stress again how comfortable these are! Much lighter in weight than the Skechers I replaced.

Demanding buyer -
General characterization of the shoe is accurate. There is a notch at the back of the shoe which is stiff and rubs your ankle. It made wearing them uncomfortable at first. Either your ankle must get tough or the shoes must flex. Mine are fine now after several weeks of wear.

Airport friendly shoes -
It was difficult to reconcile the Zappos list of airport friendly shoes with the Deer Stags list - the airport friendlies were not my favorite Deer Stags shoes. Because my foot fronts are quite wide 4E, with very narrow heel, making slip-ons a bad fit, it was difficult to know which Deer Stags width was right. The wide smooth seamless top front is what I'd have preferred, in a tie closure. Less arch support than I prefer - compared to NIKE, for example, so I inserted Doc Scholl’s inserts which work - orthotic inserts friendly shoes - VERY good idea - adds much arch comfort. Definitely airport friendly - no beeps.

Ordered a brown pair, they turned out to have a reddish tint. I originally was looking for a pair of shoes to go with light colored pants. The reddish tint does make the color a little more neutral, which makes these shoes look good with dark as well as light colored khakis.

DEER STAG SHOES GREAT FOR COMFORT -
My husband was having problems finding shoes that were comfortable on his feet. He has flat feet and needed extra support. We were on vacation and came upon a little shoe store that sold Deer Stags S.U.P.R.O. shoes. I encouraged him to buy a pair. He wore the shoes and immediately found relief from his tired achy feet. He was also having some problems with one of his ankles swelling, and this has also helped that problem. We came home and searched the internet and came upon Zappos website. We ordered another pair in a different style and color. He has found these to be the best shoes he has ever owned at an affordable price that fits into our budget. Thanks Zappos for the great product. We will be purchasing shoes from you in the future. We have also recommended these shoes to others.

Nice shoe, pretty comfortable. The brown was more like a reddish-brown, but I am getting used to it.
Felt slightly small on first wearing them, but they relaxed to the proper fit after an hour.

Overall I am satisfied. They could be a little wider; the 3W feels a bit snug than other shoes the same size. They are comfortable to stand in but require some breakin if you walk a lot. The back and side around the ankle is a bit stiff.

Review of Deer Stag's shoe -
I like the shoes; however, they seem more like 2E instead of 3E in width. But if you use shoe trees that are made to expand the width, they seem fine. Maybe next time I will order 4E in their shoes, if they make that width.

 |  | I could write a novel about my experience with Zappos. Great selection of 8.5AA or narrow. Your Customer Service Reps are very knowledgeable and helpful. I find the shoe(s) I want to order on my computer, and phone to place the order. It is much easier for me to place my order over the phone instead of using the "Shopping Cart." I ordered a pair of shoes, they didn't fit, phoned your company, they told me how to return the shoes, and the next day the new size was delivered before I returned the shoes that didn't fit. The convenience of ordering shoes and speaking with a "real person" is very rare these days. I no longer have to go to stores trying to find an AA/Narrow. No one seems to carry them anymore.
