My husband is on his feet all day and loves Rockports. This is my first pair of Rockports. These are extremely comfortable and offer great arch support. They are great when you have a lot of walking to do even though they are not the prettiest shoes.

I love Rockports. I wear this style of Rockport to work everyday. They are comfortable and casual. If you have wide feet these are the shoes for you.

WT Classic in Chocolate Nubuck -
I bought these from Zappos several years ago. I wear a narrow, and not only do they feel like a better fit than the usual "mediums fit all", but they look like they fit me. I love the chocolate color. They are good for light hikes and all around walking. Wore them to Netherlands, Belgium and Prague, and they worked with casual day walking to dinner out at night. They last forever and continue to look and feel great. Someone said they weren't for girly girls, but I guess really practical comfortable shoes are for all girls, and if a certain girl doesn't like them, she should not have and probably doesn't need them. They look great- not specifically masculine.

This is a very cool shoe! Normally I wear sneakers, and I wanted a pair of "real" shoes so I chose these. I'm glad I did. It's a little mannish looking, so if you're a girly type girl then I wouldn't advise buying this, but for girls who are a little rough on their footwear, this is a very good shoe. I did have to add an arch support to it since I have high arches, but other than that--terrific shoe!!

I love this shoe. I first bought a pair of these about 8 years ago. Didn't wear them all the time, so they lasted awhile. Finally I decided they had had it and was elated to find that Rockport still made the same shoe. They were just as comfortable right out of the box as my old broken-in ones were. Great winter shoe.

Great Walking Shoe -
This shoe represents everything I was looking for in a comfortable, but serious walking shoe. It fits even a difficult foot. I feel like I was born in them. Would greatly recommend this shoe for anyone looking for such an item. Its looks are classic, but not very feminine.

I like the shoe. It is exactly as explained. I do agree with some of the other entries I read; a good arch support insert feels better than what is in the shoe now.

This is my second pair of the Rockport Classic. I had it in white and wore it out. I'm in sales and on my feet for 8 hours a day and my feet never hurt. Orthotics fit well in them. Even the look is compact. I will keep buying this shoe.

Great shoe and sturdy.
I love my new shoes all except for one thing. I wish they came in narrower sizes. The length is fine, but oh how I would like to find my true width! This is my complaint about most shoes, not just Rockport. I would like better arch support, too.

A good sturdy walking shoe -
I found the shoe to be as advertised. It is a good sturdy walking shoe. I did have to go a half size larger than the other Rockport athletic shoe product that I have.

Maybe comfy but very ugly -
Bravo to Zappos! I ordered Sat night and my shoes were on the porch by 5:00 pm today, Monday. The shoes though are way too ugly, and not what was pictured. In the pic the brown shoes had a black trim; the ones I received are all brown. A little trim may have made them look better. I have hard feet to fit; I hoped these would look better so I could wear them to work. They are going back to Zappos and I will wait till the others I liked are in stock.

Great looking; moderately comfortable with help -
This is a great looking shoe, but a padded insole is nonexistent. Rockport has definitely cut costs by eliminating any cushioning in the insole. However, with the addition of a good, well cushioned insole, the shoe became quite wearable and fairly comfortable. In addition, the added insole helped make up for the excessive width, which was an additional problem with their "Narrow."

Wow! What an ugly shoe!!
I have some other Rockports I really like, but this one looked verrrrry mannish and felt stiff and just hit every part of my foot in the wrong place. I have a wide, flat foot (with a very narrow heel), so finding comfortable shoes is a major challenge. I don't mind a casual shoe being a little dull, but this shoe had no redeeming features stylewise.

Comfortable shoe!
I bought this shoe for my mom who is 89. She has a wide foot and also needs room on the tops of her toes because of a nail problem. This shoe was comfortable from the first day. She's very happy with the support she has when wearing this shoe.

Great shoe for my narrow foot -
I find this the perfect all-day shoe. It looks great with jeans or slacks. It accommodates my orthotics and is very comfortable with a lot of support as well.

Almost as good as New Balance 626 -
The shoe looks great and is overall comfortable... but not as great as the old New Balance 626. The new 627 doesn't fit the same. As for the Rockport, there isn't enough arch support because the insole is so thin, I had to add another insole. For the price, they could have put in a thicker insole. Otherwise, it's comfortable and looks nice with jeans.

Didn't find them comfortable at all!
I read the mixed reviews and gave them a chance. My husband recently bought a pair of Rockports and said they were like wearing pillows! Not so with these shoes. The collar around the top is stiff as others have said and I found it rubbed my ankles. I usually like shoes that are practical instead of fashionable, but these were really, really mannish. Most times that wouldn't bother me, but with the other drawbacks, I had to send them back. A complete disappointment!

My "miracle" shoe -
I'm amazed! I haven't worn Rockports in about 15 years because back then they changed their style and they were too uncomfortable. I decided to give these a try based on the reviews. I'm recovering from surgery, have a chronic sprained ankle, and a torn tendon. Zappos has been salvation in trying to find shoes that I could wear! I bought these a 1/2 size bigger because of orthotics. What a difference these shoes have made in my life! I now am back to walking everyday and am up to 20 minutes with NO PAIN all day! Amazing! Do yourself a favor and order a 1/2 size larger because you may need to put a Spenco insert as the ones that come with these shoes are very thin and give no support. I hope Rockport never stops making this shoe!
