Nice but not true to size -
I bought the 3E or Extra Wide size. The shoe box and shoe is labeled as such but the shoe fits slightly smaller than EW. 4E would be too big though as this is just a fraction of an inch off. If they were about 1/4 of an inch wider this shoe would be fine. Also there is no traction on the bottom of the shoes so you'll need to be careful wearing them.

This was an accurate description. True to size. Arrived in perfect condition. Excellent grain of leather. Couldn't be happier.

Small shoe -
This is a fairly inexpensive business shoe and it looks pretty good for what it costs. Typical of Florsheim. It's smaller than marked though and it's taking longer than usual to break in. It still hurts after about 5 uses, about twice a week for 2 and a half weeks. Too bad I pulled the tag before trying it, I am not used to Zappos’ excellent service. I could have returned it for a larger size. Incidentally, another Florsheim shoe exactly same size is a lot larger, you can clearly see placing them side by side. Shame on Florsheim for that. The least you can expect is consistency within a brand.

Classic Look -- Classic Comfort -
This is an excellent shoe for the professional or executive person -- reserved, classic, unpretentious and yet stylish and timeless. Florsheim shoes are, of course, reliable and comfortable footwear going back years and years, and this particular model (which has always been my favorite) is not always available in department store outlets. Thanks to Zappos for including it in their inventory!

Purchased these to replace 8.5 Wide Bostonians. Could not even get my foot in the shoe! Picture is also better than actual shoes.

Florsheim Richfield Lace Up -
This is the first Florsheim that I've purchased in years. It is a quality shoe but the size is not accurate. My normal shoe size is a 8EEE but this shoe feels tight at that size. It also is longer than a normal 8 1/2 shoe. I just received them today and am still wearing them on the carpet to see if they will loosen up a bit. If not, the next width size shown is 5E.

The Florsheim Richfield is a GREAT SHOE!! It is a very classic style. The leather sole wears great. Very comfortable too. I have looked everywhere for this shoe in my size (13 EEE) and only Zappos had it. Fast shipping to. Thanks Zappos!!

Love this shoe's looks and fit.
I bought this shoe for my 17 year old son for his dress shoes. They looked and felt great. We loved the fact that they came in larger sizes. They seem to actually run large, we ordered a 15 and he is wearing mostly 16s.

Is a lot bigger than it says it is. I bought a size 6 for men for my son and he had a whole inch of space, since he is young I know he will grow into them. But the actual shoe is great, leather soles and great stitching very comfortable.

First Florsheim’s not true to fit -
I have always stayed with Zappos and Florsheim because, without fail, my 9EEE has always been perfect right out of the box. Unfortunately, I was wearing these on the carpet at work and forgot that I was still checking out the fit when I ran out to get something out of the car. Now I am stuck with them and they are a good one width narrow. Not Zappos' fault, but a disappointment with my Florsheim brand loyalty. Otherwise, a very good shoe for the money. Still well made and a good quality leather sole. Slick at first until they are scuffed on the bottom, but that's true with any leather sole.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Any Florsheim. I'm still brand loyal.

These shoes are perfect if I were perfect, but still are too narrow. I'm halfway to losing 20 pounds by June 1 and will try them on again. My guess is that I'll ask for the same shoe in 6EEEEEE.

Second try a charm -
Originally ordered a size 9 1/2 E (w), but when the shoes arrived they seemed too tight. I get most of my shoes in a wide size. Called to have them replaced with no problem. Finally got a 3E as a replacement. They fit perfectly with no break in needed.

I love this shoe and have bought several pairs over the last few years. Unfortunately, the last two pairs I purchased have split on the outside edge of the shoe (the cover/leather separates from the substrate) where my small toe is. I hope someone will read this that can do something to improve this problem since I really do like the shoe.

The shoes are exactly what I expected them to be: comfortable, stylish and being Florsheim made, they fit a 9B size foot perfectly. I was equally impressed by the price, quality of service, the turn-around time and the ease of return service if needed. Fortunately, I didn't need to return them.
Zappos is now my shoe supplier.

This shoe looks great! So much for the positive. I’ve had this shoe for one year, probably worn it three times. The fit is not good. Tight across the toes. It seems to turn your feet to the outside. Not very supportive. Weak!

Good shoes, but fell apart.
Look good. Feel good. But they fell apart after a few months. First one shoe started to squeek and I couldn't fix it. Then the toe of the sole on the other shoes chipped off. Maybe I abuse them. I'm getting some of the brown ones though, because I still like them, a good deal.
