Customer reviews make a difference! My husband recently had a stroke and is now wearing a leg brace. We had to find dress shoes for him, without the benefit of taking him shopping - he just didn't have the stamina for multi-store visits that we knew we would probably have to endure. It was count-down time as our son's wedding was the coming weekend. After narrowing down our search to black dress shoes, we concentrated on happy customers who purchased shoes with a deeper toe. Several folks mentioned that they had selected shoes that were comfortable even wearing a leg brace. Bingo!! We ordered two different pairs to be safe. They arrived the day before we had to leave for the wedding and it worked!! The Florsheim’s were similar to a dress pair that my husband was used to. They looked great with his suit and seemed comfortable as he walked. Thank you for including reviews with each shoe. They are very helpful and your service is exceptional.

My Husband who you might call thrifty was very skeptical until they arrived. He took them out of the box and immediately put them on. They have not been off his feet except for when he is sleeping. They are one of the best work shoes he has ever worn.

I have wide (EEE) feet! These shoes felt like slippers when I first put them on and still feel great! By the way, the soles are non-slip, even walking on a wet floor. Awesome!

I use this shoe on a daily basis. I own an auto repair business and need something that stands up in the shop environment, and looks good when going to meetings etc. It's comfortable. My third pair.

Excellent for a business casual shoe and great with jeans. This shoe definitely can't "go both ways" - working for business casual and full business dress, but it's very comfortable and well made. I have flat feet - so can't comment on the arch support.

It fits, for a change -
I have an extremely high arch and coupled with a small foot it nearly impossible to find a reasonably priced shoe that fits. I had to order a half size larger than usual and one width narrower, but these Florsheims are comfortable and the price was right. Nothing but good things to say about Zappos. I'll buy all my shoes here from now on.

Looks good, feels lousy -
My husband bought a pair of Florsheim comfortech shoes about two years ago. They wore like iron and were very comfortable. They finally wore out and we ordered this pair to replace them. While they did fit as per length and width, they were very uncomfortable as there is almost no padding in the shoe anywhere except at the heel. I compared them to his old shoes and you can see they are now made very cheaply with a thin fabric lining. The old pair had a full padded lining stitched into the shoe. It's sad to see a brand like Florsheim joining all the other companies cheapening their product.

A solid, great looking business shoe -
I recently needed a new pair of black dress shoes and browsed through hundreds and tried on dozens. When I slipped these on and they fit and felt great immediately, I was very impressed. I had forgotten this about these shoes. My last pair of nice black business shoes were also Florsheim Nobles. I was actually looking to try to find a different shoe to replace my worn out Nobles only because while they were perfect in most every way, by the end of the day, they left my feet quite hot. Since there were no better shoes that I could find, I bought these again. Perhaps they have modified the design slightly since the last pair that I bought years ago or perhaps it is because my feet are size 12.5 and my last pair were size 12. The ones that I have now are size 13 and I am happy to report that they do not get my feet as uncomfortably hot. The best thing about these shoes is that they fit and feel great right out of the box. There is no break in period. A truly excellent shoe that, unless something better comes along, I see myself continuing to replace for the rest of my life.

I have had at least 10 pairs of these shoes over the last 25 years and they are great! I love the look and feel. The only reason I have to get rid of them is usually from my own abuse or my wife's insistences that they are overdue for the trash.

Good while it lasted -
The Noble is very comfortable and lasted a long time, several years, but then both soles fell off on the same day! I used the shoes for special occasions only for several years and only used them continually for an office job for the past few years. I'm looking for a different manufacturer this time.

Florsheim consistent - comfortable and reliable -
Purchased these to replace my prior pair of Florsheim everyday work shoes. The style’s simple but sophisticated and the Comfortech sole is just that...comfortable. Size was accurate. Would purchase them again and will buy another pair sooner should they go on sale. Loved that it saved me a trip to the store.

Solution to Problem -
I have owned three pairs of this model shoe. I have worn this model for at least 5 years.
If you get a pair that squeaks? Pull out the insole and apply shoe powder. The noise will quit!
Otherwise, great shoe!

Super Comfortable!
I bought these shoes for my husband who has extra wide feet due to bunions. He has such a hard time buying shoes that are wide enough, comfortable, and stand up to his expectations! Personally, I LOVE Zappos and when he complained about not being able to find shoes, I checked here and found sizes in EEE and beyond! Since the first time he put these on he loved them. Where's them every day to work - in which he's on his feet for sometimes a good 6-8 hours. He's commented repeatedly that these shoes are the most comfortable he's ever worn! We just got them a few weeks ago, so we'll have to wait and see how long they can hold up to the elements - hopefully for awhile!
Great investment for a good looking, comfortable, casual shoe!

A real disappointment -
I've given up on these shoes because one started to squeak after a year or so and kept getting worse. It's gotten so bad that I can't really wear them.
Otherwise, they've been great. They're a great combination of comfort and good looks, which is hard to find in a dressy shoe. I've worn them quite a bit and they're not showing any serious signs of wear. There's lots of life left on the soles.
So, it's really disappointing - the kind of thing you might expect from shoes that cast a lot less.

Real Value -
I'm currently on my third pair of Florsheim's. My ONLY concern would be if they decide to not make the Noble. I am a big man, on my feet, on concrete all day - every day. These shoes give back daily there promise, style, comfort and wear. Should I buy some and store them? THE BEST!!

Finding my size -
I have a hard time finding men’s shoes in size 6.5. Fortunately there is Zappos, one of the few sources for shoes in my size. My wife has a similar problem. Now we are happy Zappos customers.
