Very nice boot but wears out quickly -
This shoe can be worn without breaking it in, right out of the box. Very comfortable. Quite a few people have asked me who makes the shoe and where I got it. It is a very nice looking dress boot. My only complaint is that the soles don't hold up well. I buy two pairs, wear them every day, and find that after six months the soles get holes. I just buy two more pair and start over.

Love these shoes. Fast break-in, as good with a suit as they are w/jeans. Wore them new on a week-long business trip spanning Tokyo by train, car and foot, with no complaints on comfort. The boot is a nice way to make a simple cap-toe look fashionably different.

Beautiful Boot -
This boot shines on every level. Hard to believe I got them for this price and I had high hopes from the photo. The cut is beautiful and the foot-bed is really comfortable (I pound the pavement in them in NYC).

My Favourite Shoes!!
I love retro styles, so when I found these boots, I was pretty excited. By from the first day I got them I LOVED how they felt. They quickly became my favourite shoes. I'm now considering getting a second pair in black. One important thing...find a good shoe repair place. They hold up great, but you will want to take extra good care of them, as you miss them when they are away from you too long. My guy cleans them, repairs them, moisturizes them, and really keeps them up to snuff. Everyone who sees them thinks they look super sharp and cool and they all ask where I got them. COMPLETE WINNERS!

Oh, I say!
A more comfortable boot I have not known, in timeless style and grace. I wear boots 90% of the time, broken only by chuck taylors, and I won't lie -- I've been quite impressed with how these fit and wear.

I like them very much. Comfortable right out of the box. Got the widest size possible and that did the trick. Dress up or down.

Been wearing the Madison Boot for over 45 years. We used to call them Old Man Comfort in my days.

I am very pleased with the Stacy Adams Madison Boot. Very comfortable. If you are looking for a shoe/boot with that dressy vintage look, then these are for you. The leather is very thin and soft and they broke in very easily. Match these boots with a vintage looking suit and overcoat with a nice fedora and people on the street will yield the right of way to you!

I ordered these boots about two days before Christmas, and they were here for Christmas. My husband really loved these boots, I love mens shoes also these are sharp looking boots. He said they wore great; if I could get them in brown I would get them.

Nice dress boot but not a dress snow boot -
This is a very nice looking boat to wear with dress clothes on a snowy day but it will not help you walk securely as the sole and heel are not snow designed.

Friggin. Awesome. This is it ladies and gentlemen... the best boot known to mankind. Got them about 2 days after I ordered, tried them on and immediately fell in love. Extremely comfortable, well built, light-weight, and classy looking. I don't know what it is... but the moment I put them on I felt like a million dollars. This is it: the ultimate shoe. I purchased these boots as part of a fancy dress party I have to attend when I am in London later this month. They arrived quickly and fit very well. A bit tight but with the right sock they fit very snug without being too confining. Love the look and style of these.

I've always wanted a pair of Stacy Adams, but only barely now finally got to try a pair. These boots - a surprising thing to see from Stacy Adams (to me at least) are remarkably comfortable, and look even better in person than in the pictures. Also, the sizing is precise and fits me perfectly.
I am delighted with these and with the service from Zappos!

Great Boots, but a word of caution:
These boots have a great classic/retro style to them. I ordered a 11 1/2, since I have a pair of Stacy Adams shows that are a 11 1/2. When the boots arrived, they were way too long, and too narrow. So I returned them for a 10 1/2 E. They fit perfectly.
I wear them everyday, and the sole wore through in only about 6 months. That's my only complaint about these shoes. I had them repaired and they looked as good as new. I imagine I'll end up doing that once a year for the life of the shoes.

A wonderful shoe!
I ordered these a size wider judging from the on-line reviews. The shoes arrived the next day and I have hardly had them off! They truly fit well, and the leather is so soft--they feel broken in from day one, and I never say this about a shoe until now. They give excellent ankle and arch support while feeling good walking around for a long period. I plan to buy another pair in another color!

Very, very nice boot!
This boot fit me like a glove. I wore it for many hours a day after purchase, and the only very minor discomfort was the upper part against my inside ankle. I'm sure it will break in and be perfect over time. Otherwise they look and fit perfect. Sizing was exactly right, and they are very narrow, but the fit is true to size. Also very shiny, but I personally love that!
Very classy and stylish.

Stacy Adams Madison Boots - sized small -
I love the look of these boots, but they run much narrower than my shoes (narrow last). Consequently, my orthotic device will not fit inside the shoe. I also have large calves, and needed extra long laces to even lace the boot to the top. Even then, the look of the boot is destroyed because they bulge at the top over my big legs. Perhaps these are not a good choice for wide, flat feet and large legs - even in EE width.

I ordered the Stacy Adams Madison Boot. The response from Zappos was immediate and entirely satisfactory.

Happy shoemaker!!!
I have two pair of Madison boots and my oldest ones needed new soles and heels. I took them to the local shoemaker and his first comment was "Comforts, where did you get them?" I was happy to tell him about Zappos and gave him the web site so he could order a pair. He then told me how he always wore them and then couldn't find them in the stores any more. I didn't know I was wearing boots that are so famous.

If you look for that vintage look, this is the ONE out there. Excellent make and durable, yet the high tight shaft needs getting used to, but gives great support. One suggestion... the contrast sole rim should be dyed to match, I had to.
