I love these boots. My only problem is that I have very short legs and the back of these boots hits my Achilles in a way that has given me some hot spots. But I love them enough that I'm going to wait for calluses! It's hard to find good steel toes in a size 6 and I'm glad I found these.

These boots are great. Sometimes I need a size larger in boots, but these fit fine. When I first put them on, they seemed stiff in the back, but I wore them, and they were very comfortable. I definitely recommend these boots.

Not as good as expected -
After reading all the reviews I was really excited to try these boots. I work in the water and wastewater industry and live on my feet in all sorts of conditions and have yet to find the perfect safety toe boot. These are not it. The shoes fit very differently on my feet in that the heel cup on one is a lot snugger than on the other. It is very annoying but not painful. I did have to put an insole in them so I would say they are generously sized in terms of foot room. I felt they had very poor arch support without the added insoles. On the plus side these boots are very lightweight and even brand new have not sent me home with sore feet even after three 12-hour days. I wish they were higher around my ankle but for some reason it is almost impossible to find women's boots with an 8" height. If it wasn't for the different fit on each heel I would be pretty happy with these boots.

Awesome Shoes -
These boots are very comfortable!!! No breaking-in, I wore them the next day I got them, I wore them for 10 hrs and had no problems at all. I bought them in my regular size, and there is plenty of space to wear them with thick socks. They are unbelievably light, I love them. Zappos rocks!

Very comfortable work boots for WIDE feet!
It's hard to find women's steel toes in wide sizes. These were fantastic - I bought them for working on an oceanographic research vessel, where they are required on deck. I ended up wearing them more than any other pair of shoes I brought onboard because they were so comfortable. They are relatively light; I didn't notice the steel toe at all. The leather is very, very soft. Highly recommended!

Good value for the money. Love this boot!
I bought this boot as a work requirement (climbing poles and ladders, electrical work, manholes, and etc.). I researched other boots (Dr Martens, Wolverines, Red Wing, and etc.) before deciding on the Timberland boot. I am not disappointed! The boot fit comfortably first time out of the box, flexible fit so my feet don't feel like they are in a leaded coffin, rugged and tough, but stylish. I wear an 8M and this boot even made my feet look small. By the way, two other women in my job bought this boot after seeing my boots! And, they ordered through Zappos and quickly received their boots.
My boots were delivered two days after ordering from Zappos...and this was even during the Christmas mail rush!! Zappos impresses again.

Great, but only for so long.
I really wanted to give this boot a higher rating, because while it lasted, it was awesome, but here are several reasons I can't. I've had these boots for a year to date and at various points throughout the year, the following occurred: the leather wore off of both toes, exposing the steel, the padding eventually compressed to where I HAD to wear gel insoles, the fabric and padding on the heel/ankle area on the inside of the left boot wore away, exposing a plastic ridge that caused a lot of pain until I threw a bit of foam and some duct tape in there, which I have to replace every so often, and finally, the sole on both heels is cracking.
Disclaimer: I'm an artist and a welder and I'm on my feet, running around on cement floors from anywhere between 8 and 16 hours a day, typically for 6 days a week. I've really put these boots through the ringer, but that being said, for the price, I really expected to get more than 1 year out of them, and frankly, I'm disappointed that I'm now going to have to get a new pair of boots because of the cracking soles and worn heel. I know there aren't a lot of good women's steel toes out there, but I'm thinking of trying a pair of Wolverine boots.
If you're not going to be using these boots as much as I did, I'd recommend them, if you do need boots that can take a beating; however, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. If only I could get paid for being a boot-tester :)

Great Boots -
I can be a 7.5 or a 7 depending on the shoe. I got these in the 7 and they fit great. The only negative I can come up with is that they are a little heavy.

Excellent work boot -
I bought these boots because I needed them for a welding class and couldn't find anything in my size (5.5) in local stores. As another reviewer put it, zero break-in time for them. Comfortable and sturdy.

It would be even better if Timberland made these in a shoe also. I really like my boots, because of the comfort. I highly recommend them to anyone who is required to wear a safety shoe. If I could get them in a shoe style, that would make my experience even better. I do not particularly like anything resting over my ankle.

This safety shoe is great so far. I work in an outdoor chemical plant in the southeast and I have found this high-top boot to be surprisingly comfortable (zero break-in time). I love the fact that I was able to order the shoe in a wide, too. Thanks Zappos and Timberland.

Good Work Boot -
I purchased both the black and brown boots. They are comfortable and lightweight. They didn't take long to break in either. They are pretty nice looking; not clunky and masculine like a lot of work boots. My only complaint is they seem to hold heat but it might only seem that way because I'm in the desert.

Very comfortable.
These shoes are great! It took very little time to break them in. They are the only steel toes I have ever had that never gave me blisters on my toes. The titanium toe makes them very light as well. The only negative is that they don't seem as durable as the other shoes I have tried. I will definitely buy another pair once these wear out.

Exceptional quality!
Great quality boot, from the leather to the strings, and workmanship that serves Timberland reputation well! My first day at work in these was a 12 hr day on concrete floors; 'very' little break in needed. By the second day they were my new favorite work shoe. I wear a wide and many times in safety toe shoes/boots they still aren't comfy in toe area. These are perfect.
Fantastic service from Zappos, as usual, with lightening fast shipping.

Cracked soles -
Although this shoe is very light and comfortable (my 2nd pair) the soles seem to always crack. I work for a company that delivers food/frozen food to various restaurants.
