The only issue I had with this shoe is the heel pad. It's supposed to give some "support" to the heel. I suppose it does. However, it seems a little small for the heel, so you feel the sides of the heel insert when you first put them on. After wearing a short while, I don't think you feel it much.

Skeptical at first -
I have a very wide foot 5E. Needless to say it is very difficult to find shoes that fit. skeptical at first when I found this company on line. The first time I ordered shoes I ordered a 1/2 size to large on one pair, my fault, but they had made an error on the other pair as the wrong size shoes were in the correct box. I was not to happy about both of our errors, as I was leaving for vacation the next day and really needed new shoes. I ordered 2 more pair and had them delivered to the place I was going on Vacation. They arrived there the very next day and were waiting for me when I got there. The shoes were perfect, fit like a glove. When I got home I sent the shoes back. They made it such a breeze to return them, they sent me an email saying they had received the shoes and that they had credited my account. I can't say enough about this company. Keep up the great work.

Answer to My Dreams -
Finally, a pair of shoes I can wear comfortably. And I can slip them on and off. I didn't think I could find anything like his. I have terrible bunions and have been wearing only Birkenstocks for years.

Nice and comfy -
I wanted slip-ons to reduce the hassle of going through airport security. I bought these and also some Fryes that were about $80 more expensive. The Fryes were slightly cooler looking but not quite as comfortable, so I returned them, and I've been happy enough with these that I may another pair, in black.

Wear these everyday for work. Much more convenient than regular lace shoes, which I always seemed to have to pause to re-tie after coming loose. Really like this shoe, although I wish the leather didn't look quite so "plastic."

Great Fit, Well Made -
I have a big, wide foot.
I don't know how to tell you if it is true to size any other way since it has been so long since I have actually found my real size.
When I buy off the shelf I have to buy 13 or 14 medium width to get a good fit. I bought this shoe in 12 extra wide and it fits perfectly.
I am an airline pilot and use this shoe every day in sometimes wet and slippery places. It works well and is very comfortable, especially after a 15 hour day.

The best shoes -
My husband has a very big problem with arthritis in his feet and it’s so difficult to find dressy shoes, but thank you for the Hush puppies I bought from you. When I got them he was upset I spent more money for shoes he won’t be able to wear. Once he tried them on he didn’t want to take them off. My daughter was performing a few nights later and he got up and danced a few rounds of a Greek dance. As for Zappos service I couldn’t believe it what ever I order the next day I have it. Thank you thank you thank you and the price is right too.

I am enjoying wearing these shoes. They are replacing a well worn in three year old pair of Sketchers of the same style. They still breaking in after two weeks, but there are no battle scars. I still getting used to the heel gel packs. I actually can't wait to see if they pass the airport muster.

I've tried Rockport, but Hush Puppies are the most comfortable shoes around. And they're considerably less clunky than the Rockports. Would definitely buy these again.

It was a true miracle being able to order shoes for my husband that look great and more importantly fit. My husband wears a 7 1/2 EEEE and it is very difficult finding shoes that are groovy and comfortable. He can always find sneakers and dress shoes, but it is usually impossible to find great casual shoes. This web site was so helpful and in the comfort of my home! These shoes fit right out of the box!

Instant comfort -
I went against one of the great rules of shoe-buying and ordered these shoes just before a vacation trip. The shoes performed beautifully without any breaking in. They are sturdy and lightweight and very comfortable for walking on pavements, even European cobblestones. I have a wide foot and have trouble finding shoes that are both good-looking and serviceable -- these certainly fit the bill.

Airport Worthy -
I ordered these from Zappos just over a year ago. I'm a pilot and wear them 4 times or more a week while traveling all over. They've never set off a metal detector yet, which is why I bought them. I wished they look a little more dressy. The insole of the shoe is showing a lot of wear, but otherwise they are taking the abuse well.

I like these shoes because they are sufficiently wide, especially at the toe, for my wide foot. I also like the fact that they come with removable cushions, which I can replace with my prescription orthotics. Wish they would take a higher shine, though.

I actually ordered this shoe maybe a month ago for my husband who has a really wide foot. He liked them so much I ordered another pair in a different color. He said the width of the shoe provided plenty of comfort. He said he wore them for the whole day and never had any trouble with breaking in time, very comfortable.
