Nice dance shoe for my needs. I needed something for belly dance class, to protect the balls of my feet when turning and spinning. The elastic provided secure fit and enabled me to add padding inside. Unfortunately, the S, M, L, XL sizes were hard to judge what I needed. I do like them, but wish that they were available in a nude or lighter color.

Wonderful for modern dance -
I would prefer to dance barefoot, but I worry about injuring my sensitive feet. These shoes are as close as I can come to barefoot while protected: they let me feel the floor very well, turn smoothly, and protect my toes... they essentially free me from thinking about shoes so that I focus on dancing.
These shoes make the arch and the whole foot look beautiful!
I am grateful that they don't have any padding in the sole. They really allow feeling the floor genuinely, fully.
The only thing that I would change is the relatively high vamp. I need my foot to be as bare as possible (with my toes and ball still protected). Grishko and So Danca make low-vamp shoes like this, but Capezio is easier to get, and it is an excellent shoe. Capezio should introduce another model, with lower vamp.
I have the shoes in flesh color, I think it is much nicer than black, if you are going for the barefoot look. Zappos should sell them in flesh, too.
If you're between sizes, as I am between Small and Medium, I'd go with Medium.
