Lives up to the Mountain Man name -
I've owned many leather upper winter boots in the past, most with felt liners. The Baffin Mountain Man boot is much more comfortable, feels lighter, the liners dry much more quickly, and they are far easier to get on and off. The traction is excellent with a sharp, aggressive tread pattern that really bites into snow.

This boot is everything I hoped for and more! Im a size 10.5 and I bought the boots in size 11 as recommended by Baffin. They fit perfectly around the heel and ankle, but do have a little extra wiggle room near the toes. That’s easily fixed by wearing thick socks. If you fit easily into half sizes with room to spare, you may want to consider sizing down. If they don’t fit, no biggie, return them to Zappos for another size. My 11's fit just fine though, they are very warm, and give great ankle and instep support. Oh, by the way, they look great on top of all that. I’ve owned Kamik’s and Sorel’s, but these beat them all by far.

Wrong size...bummer!
Great looking boot for any cold weather occasion...a very cold weather occasion. I ordered the boot at the last minute for a trip to Vail Co. The boots arrived in time, as usual, for Zappos orders, but I ordered the wrong size...my fault and I really missed not having them...will try again next season...thanks Zappos, by way, in addition to the Baffin’s I also ordered the naughty monkeys for the wife...she loves them... Thanks Zappos.

Serious and stylish snow boot -
I got these boots as a gift for my brother-in-law. They had -20 degrees winter this year and my sister asked me to find something for those really cold snowy days. I looked for a while and finally picked these Baffins. They are actually slightly heavier than I expected, but the extra insulation is removable. They are even kind of stylish for this kind of boot. Thanks Zappos.

Baffin Mountain Boots -
When I saw these they looked very heavy duty for our rough winters here in the north. When I got them and checked them out before I gave them to my husband for chritmas, I put them on and they were so comfortable and very insulated for wet and snowy weather I was overjoyed! I know from that, that I made the right decision. Thanks a bunch, "he loved them!"
