My favorite soft ballet shoe - They look great. I wear 7.5, sometimes 8, and my feet are on the narrow side, but not extremely so. I got the Sculpture in 7, and while they were a bit tight initially, 3 classes later I do not feel them, I just dance. Very happy.

Where did they go -?
Well, I am ready for another pair of these and where have they gone? I'd like to try a 12 because my 11's are getting pretty snug and I would like pink this time.
I re-read the reviews and disagree with one. I thought the elastics were pretty snug across my foot which is narrow and I have a low instep too.
These just make my foot look so good that I don't care about the color rubbing off the toes on my first lunge in class.

I guess I am a little different than the others -
I wear 11.5 narrow on one foot and 12 narrow on the other.
I got an 11 here after finding out the hard way that a 10 bought in a local store was too short. Sure, it stretched out, but a half an hour into class all it wanted to do was stretch back. It does conform to the foot and it looks great on those of us who have shortish toes because it has a shorter than average vamp.
Warning! One lunge and the color comes right off the top of the toes.
I am still considering ordering another pair in a 12, because I tightened the elastic in the 11's I am wearing, and now I can't get it to loosen up. The tight elastic is leaving a dent in my Achilles.
I had better go an have a good look at my 11's first. I would hate to be faced with a suddenly too wide pair of expensive new ballet slippers.

The pre-sewn elastics are too long!
These shoes are very comfortable and have worked well for dancing (I do liturgical, nothing too complicated). The material stretches a bit, but still looks great. They are very low-profile.
My one complaint is that the pre-sewn elastics are too long. My foot is not narrow, but I had to shorten the elastics. Once I did that, however, the shoes hugged my arches like no other ballet flat I've worn (better than Juliet II by Capezio).
I agree you should order up one size from street shoes. I wear 9.5 in street shoes and the 11's were too baggy, but the 10's I ended up with are just a touch shorter than I would have liked. 10.5 would have been ideal.

This is a lovely shoe for my foot. I wear 11.5 - 12 Narrow and got an 11 in these. I love the short vamp on my short toes. Any bigger would be baggy because of being narrow.
I find the elastics to be set too far back at the forward placing. I will probably move them but risk them being too tight for going to a farther spot on the shoe. I know this is not an easy job because I did it in another pair. I tried a 10 because they felt fine in the store but once in class that stretch element took over and stretched back. That just hurt.
Mind those elastic drawstrings. If you pull them tight you can bruise your Achilles. I did that too the first time.
The first problem came during my first class in these after doing a lunge with my forefoot sliding on the floor. It took the color right off the shoe at every joint.

Great ballet slipper -
I tried on a lot of ballet slippers before I settled on this one. While the most expensive, it definitely had the best fit. My wide foot fit well in the medium width, but be sure to order 1/2 to 1 size larger than usual.

The other reviewers are certainly right about ordering at least a half size above; I'm about an 11.5- 12 M womens and ordered a 12 M and it was very tight. Unfortunately, they don't carry a 12.5 M, so don't know if I should go with this style or not

Adorable and comfortable!
Beautiful shoes - the perfect princess pink. The lycra/leather combo stretches a bit over time but not too much, they've been very comfortable for dancing. My only complaint: the pre-sewn elastics are too big for someone with a moderately narrow foot.
Non-dancers beware - you'll be tempted to order a full size up, but after a couple days' use that will be too big and you'll be forced to tighten the strings which end up hurting the tendon above your heel. Stick to a half size larger than street size.

I got these shoes for my roommates wedding. They are very comfortable; almost like a second skin. Her wedding is not for a few months but I'm wearing them all over the house like a pair of slippers. My feet are wide, so they were a bit narrow at first, but the leather stretched pretty quickly. When the pair I bought wears out, I'll definitely buy another pair.

 | | Zappos.com is absolutely phenomenal! I can't even believe it. I just moved to NYC from FL. Found a "dress up" job and started immediately not even finished unpacking. In as much as I haven't even opened all of the boxes yet, nor do I know what's in them anymore. When I was hired I had to think about professional wardrobe and find clothes and shoes in this chaos immediately. There are three boxes missing...one of them...all of my SHOES!!! Can you spell P-A-N-I-C???!!! I remembered a friend telling me about Zappos.com and then I saw your commercial on TV. I went through the inventory for something I could use with a lot of things cause money is tight and time is of the essence! I submitted my order close to midnight Tuesday night (two nights ago) and the shipment arrived in less than twelve hours! I couldn't believe it! I haven't even had time to open the box, but I'm not worried because with your incredible service and return policy, I'm not even worried. I wish you could have done my move!!! So now...you can bet, not only will I order all sorts of things including shoes from Zappos.com, I will tell all of New York City about it and how you absolutely put my mind at ease in a crisis situation. I'm not even worried anymore about my box of shoes. Of course I want them but I know I can jump online and viola! I will have my order. It's so easy, so fast and so fabulous after moving and traveling for seven weeks, I didn't think anything could be easy especially buying shoes, which I can NEVER find my size (small woman, small feet), but I found exactly what I was looking for, ordered and received in less than twelve hours. It's fantastic! I hate shopping and I don't have to leave my apartment let alone walk anywhere to get exactly what I want in my size, color and style and have my purchase in my hot little hands in less than twelve hours with FREE DELIVERY!!! You guys saved my life and new job and gave me the best present ever! And FREE DELIVERY in a NY minute, literally. I was certain it couldn't be done. I was shocked and I never write testimonials but I had to write this one because if I didn't experience it for myself, I sure wouldn't believe it if someone told me this could happen. You can rest assured you have a new and loyal customer from here on in, and if I don't like my choice because I was in a panic, I can send them back hassle-free! ZAPPOS.COM IS AMAZING! It's like American Express - instead of "don't leave home without it" - it is "you don't have to leave home!" Thank you so much...you not only restored my faith, you sent me shoes with free delivery in a NY minute in NYC! I love you guys! | | ~ Marcy L., September 13 2008
