This is a really nice looking ladies boot. It isn't chunky, clunky or funky looking. It fits snuggly with my heavy wool socks, and I did get my normal size 8. I haven't had time or weather to check the boot out under adverse conditions, but I know that while I'm wearing them around in the house to break them in--I frequently have to remove them to let my (normally icy) feet cool off a bit. Can't leave it without saying how gr8 Zappos is to shop with, they set a high standard for internet shopping.

Zappos is great!
I am wearing my Vallara's for the first time today, snowing where I live. They are not only great looking, (under jeans they look like regular stylish boots!) but warm and comfy!I have very high arches and was able to get into these because of the the front zipper! Thank you Zappos, you sent these 2nd day air at no extra charge, I have recommended all of my friends to you! Happy customer in Mt Shasta, Ca. Melody

Just bought these, and first of all I must say, Zappos is SO AWESOME when it comes to shipping. Free shipping and really quick! I was also surprised by the weight of the box, these boots are pretty light! I bought them in black and they're pretty stylish, I plan on wearing them to class- no one will know I'm wearing my winter boots! Buy at least a half size larger. It gets pretty cold here in Grand Forks (way below zero), but these are rated to -25F, so they will be good for most of winter. If you have milder winters, these boots are light, stylish, and very comfortable.
