These are great slippers. My legs are paralyzed. I searched for slippers with an adjustable velcro closure that would be comfortable and accommodate my feet when swollen. These do the job well. I really like that they allow my toes to be both visible and to air. I have similar slippers with closed toes and they are too hot for summer use. These are not. The sheepskin lining provides tremendous padding to my feet.Shopping with Zappos is great. The pricing was very good and the shipping and return policy is unmatched.

Invest in your foot Care -
I have diabetic feet along with reduced blood flow to my legs and feet. I developed a pressure sore on my heel which makes my foot very sensitive to pain. These shoes are a God send. They're comfortable, warm, and probably the best possible footwear around for people with these health conditions.

Old-Fashioned Friend -
I purchased this slipper as a gift for my memory-impaired dad. He didn't like his toes exposed. He couldn't keep his foot in proper heel alignment. It's an ideal solution for a temporary problem, but he just didn't like the looks of his own toes flying out the front! They have to be returned. So sorry! Great potential for oft swollen feet!

Just in time for winter:
These slippers were purchased for my 88 year old mother-in-law. Her remarks after trying them on were "comfy", "soft", and "adjustable". She has trouble with poor circulation and edema; these slippers work wonderfully.

This is my second pair of "Old Friend's Step-In"s... and I'll to say they are correctly named. So easy to put on/take off... Absolutely my favorite shoe to wear around the house... I have had diabetes for 62 years, and have had feet difficulty for the past year years, so I appreciate these comfortable shoes very much.

Great pair of shoes!
I placed an order for these shoes as my husband has had trouble with his feet swelling. Since they have arrived, he wears nothing else, but these are comfortable, warm, and easy to put on and take off which with people who have mobility issues is a BIG plus. Would highly recommend this shoe for people who have to deal with these issues.

Velcro comfy slippers -
I bought these for a friend whose feet swell due to lymphedema. Because they have the velcro top, he is able to wear them and said they were very comfortable.

Sheepskin slippers -
I bought these slippers for my dad who has feet problems. He absolutely loved these slippers and immediately threw his old ones out. I would recommend these slippers for those who have swelling in their feet. The adjustable velcro is wonderful for that type of situation.

easy fit -
I bought these as a gift for my father who is a stroke patient. It was difficult to find him comfortable slippers that fit that were easy for him to wear. He only has full ability in one hand, and these slippers are easy for him to put on and off himself. Plus, the fit was not a problem thanks for the design (everything else was always too narrow) They are comfortable for his feet and allow him to have some ability for his own care. These are great!

Awesome for Wide Feet!
I gave these to my dad for Christmas and he loves them! He wears an EEE and I was concerned about buying the moccasin-type shoe for that reason. He is able to adjust the width to his comfort. Very well-constructed, too!

On balance...
So my wife asks if I'd be interested in these "slippers" she found on the net. I say "I doubt it" b/c these kinda things always turn out to be hot enough to make my feet sweat, and then damp enough to make them cold. These seem maybe different, so I decided to try them. Comfort-wise, they are what I've been looking for and never found. Soft and warm, but not hot and not damp. The open toe is one factor, and maybe the real wool fleece does "wick." That's enough for me - I could care less how they look. They have a very durable sole that won't slip on carpeting. As far as looks, they don't look like anything I've ever dealt with, but I don't spend time comparing models of stuff like this in store or on the net. It's not Grandpa's slipper, however. It has the cut, but not the institutional looks, of what people with foot injuries wear during recuperation. There are some functional elements tho think about: Will that nice soft, warm fleece be pounded flat in a couple months? It looks like it might, on the bottom. Will it matter? Don't know. "Step-in"? That all depends. The Velcro flap is enormous and holds its position well. It's not particularly easy to adjust; if you un-do it, your foot is likely to slip out while you try to re-position it and snug up the Velcro. It's a two-handed process to get it the way you want it.
You can get it "right" and just leave it there. Then you may be able to "step-in." That all depends on how snug you like the velcro to be and how wary you are about crushing down the back of this thing. It may take some foot wiggling or likely the insertion of a finger.
So, on balance, I got what I care about - comfort. I have worn these about 2 weeks and hope the report will be the same in 3 and 6 months.

I have problems with my feet swelling. For that reason I ordered a pair of these slippers. They are exactly what I needed as they always fit. They were a much better quality that what I had anticipated. I am pleased with them in every way. In fact I am getting ready to order my second pair. Thanks Zappos for coming up with such a wonderful slipper.

I have had Old Friends Style flip flops for years, but I like these even better. They stay on your feet without you having to worry about falling if you need to walk backwards.

An item searched for and found at last, warm, comfortable and no problem with fit. These are great for lounging around, but as they fit loosely, as they should, they do not qualify as dancing pumps.

BEST PAIR OF MENS SLIPPERS I EVER SAW!!!!
I bought 2 size 13's because they were out of 12's at the time. My son is a size 12 - so he pulls them a little tighter and my husband is an extra wide size 13 so he pulls them a little looser. We have marble floors (read cold) so having easy to take on and off slippers is a bonus. The only thing is that they are a bit too warm for our warmer days. I'm going to buy a pair of the mens shoes for myself - if I can figure out how to convert a size 10 women to men’s size.

Great pair of slippers -
My father is a diabetic, whom experiences a lot of swelling. His foot size changes constantly. These slippers made him very happy. They are extremely comfortable and warm. Zappos prices were comparable to a local shoe store. I had tried to purchase them, but they didn't have his size in stock. They told me that they would call me when they came in. I have had the slippers for three weeks, and the local store has not called. Zappos free shipping was great. Thank you. P.S. My dad's podiatrist had recommended this shoe.

A comfortable shoe -
My husband has wide feet and has a hard time finding bedroom slippers to fit him. When I came across these shoes, I liked that it had adjustable closures. My husband loves these shoes, but it is taking awhile to get used the heavy weight of the shoe. Also, he would have preferred a closed toe style, because his foot tends to slide forward in this shoe and sometimes his toes get cold. All in all, it is a very comfortable shoe!

These are awesome. By adjusting the velcro flaps, I can have these slippers keep my feet really warm, or let them ventilate while walking to keep my feet from sweating.

Fitting a slipper onto my husband's neurologically impaired feet (MS) was always a struggle. These cozy slippers make it a snap!! They're cozy but a little clunky. A great choice.
