Give me a break. These shoes are like butter; I mean they are the nicest shoes I've ever owned. I’m not new to quality shoes, but these are truly the best. I'm at Zappos to buy a 2nd pair; head and shoulders (and feet) above the best.

The softest shoes I have ever worn. Amazingly supple and beautifully shaped. The photos can't do them justice.

The Best Shoe I've Ever Owned-
These shoes are fantastic. They are so beautiful and comfortable I almost don't want to wear them. The leather is incredibly soft and the soles feel as though they have already been broken in. They look good with a 3 piece suit, or just a pair of slacks and a t-shirt. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

Almost TOO Cool -
I just received my pair of Rex shoes, and I cannot believe how comfy they are. They are so buttery soft, they're like slippers. In fact, I'm almost afraid to wear them OUT out. The upper is so soft that I hope I don't crinkle them up just by the curvature of my step. But I'll risk it! Kudos to DJP, AND Zappos for the awesome service.

My husband needed new shoes to wear with his tuxedo. Normally, he is pretty conservative when it comes to clothes and shoes. But...I took a chance and order these for him. He LOVES them. He says they are incredibly comfortable. To my surprise he actually likes the clean, less fussy more modern look. In fact, he likes these shoes so much and they are so well made and rich looking that he wears them on occasion with his business suits. Kudos to Zappos for carrying such a great selection, and the extra quick FREE service. (They arrived in two days!)

Favorite dress shoes -
They are simply gorgeous. I was shocked by how comfortable they are. The "breaking in" period is less than a day. Unfortunately, you need to be careful with them since they scuff easily and the top will warp if you don't use a tree.

A shoe for great comfort -
I bought this shoe in Charleston, s.c. and the wear is great. I will buy another pair. I love the feel of the soft leather and it looks great on my feet. I get complimants all the time. I recommend this shoe highly. I am a shoe lover.

Poor durability -
This is a nice looking shoe. It's just not an everyday shoe. It's leather is very soft, and therefore vulnerable to everything. The second time I wore these, my desk took a chuck of leather off of the right outside toe. Be very careful when wearing these. Not really worth the price.

The Rex is fantastic -
This is one of the most elegant dress shoes I have ever worn. The Nappa is buttery soft and has a natural sheen that can be polished to a shine. It will look great with a suit every day--conservative enough for certain professions but edgy enough to portray a modern styling. It represents a balance that I have not found elsewhere. The shoe is also extremely comfortable, fitted correctly.
Regarding my experience with Zappos, I cannot overemphasize my high regard for this firm. They were diligent in working with my requests and quickly fixed a sizing issue. I would rate them among the best online service providers that I have encountered.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: You cannot go wrong with Allen-Edmonds's quality. I only wish that A.E. would offer additional styles...
