I am returning these. Was hoping that they would work as was looking for a nice simple low heeled walkable boot for skirts and pants in Europe. The calf was too small, would no way zip around my 15 inch at the widest calves. I ordered a wide and it was not wide enough even though I can often wear a regular width. No arch support either. I liked the sole and heel design. Instead I am going with a La Canadienne boot that has a higher heel then I want but is surprisingly comfortable, fits way better, and has nicer leather and slightly nicer craftsmanship (also water proof and made in Canada).

Perfect boot for me -
I wanted a simple boot without "stuff" hanging off and got it with this purchase. Nice quality, simple, yet attractive style. Great purchase, I am very pleased.

Comfortable, warm and chic - but strange calf design -
I was really excited to order these as they looked like the perfect solution to Chicago winters - cute, hardy boots that kept your feet warm and let you still be stylish. The leather is great quality; boots are warm to walk around in the snow but not too hot to spend a day at work. The only problem is the design of the calf area is kind of weird; it sticks out towards the top and gets narrow again, like it's made for someone who has skinny legs but HUGE calves. Even when I tuck in pants, there is a lot of room there. I ended up keeping it since I mostly wear it with pants and you can't see that area. It's been a great boot so far but if you're planning on wearing with skirts or skinny jeans, it may not be the best design.

Fulfilling a holiday wish list -
I first ordered these boots and when my daughter in law tried them on, they were a size too big. I sent the others back and ordered them in a size smaller and she loves them. She travels a bit and needed a comfortable low-heeled boot and these fit the bill.

Calf is very narrow -
I received these as a gift and are very well made.
They are the perfect brown, great leather, and durable.
I wasn't able to zip these up and I normally don't have a problem buying boots that fit. I hated to send them back!

These boots appeared well made. I wear a 9-9.5 ordered these in 9.5 wide & they were way too big. I also ordered the Santana Lacey Hi in 9.5 med they were way too narrow. Guess I'm stuck somewhere in the middle. These look ok but not as nice as the Lacey Hi. I returned them since they were too big, if they had fit well I would have kept them. Zappos is great, they know that a picture of a shoe/boot & how it fits is soooo different & allow the returns. Thank-you Zappos!!

Love this boot!
I ordered this on a whim, thinking I would probably be sending them back. My calves are 15.75 inches and wide calf boots are always too big and others too small. I'm embarrassed to try boots on in the shoes stores. These are perfect!! Comfortable from the minute I put them on. They are flexible, with decent traction, but dressy enough for work and look great under jeans and pants. If they had the black in my size, I would buy black as well. Thanks Zappos!

This was just what I wanted a very classy nice leather boot with no cutesy stuff attached. I have not been able to wear a boot since I developed major foot problems and hoped the wide width of this one would solve that problem. Unfortunately, though it was wide enough, it was not deep enough and I cannot wear it. I'm sure this boot would work well for most people looking for a nice simple boot. The leather is so soft. Wish I could have worn it.

It was a tough decision to order boots online. But in the end, local stores didn't offer the selection of Zappos. So I read numerous Zappos reviews and settled on the Santana Diana. WOW! They are fabulous. They are great looking for a flat boot...very classic and elegant. There was no trouble zipping them up. They are a tall boot that comes to the top of my calf. But the best part is how comfortable they are. Straight out of the box they fit like a dream. I've worn them to work, on my feet all day, and they're so comfy I don't want to take them off when I get home. Good price for a good looking, well crafted boot.

The circumference at the top of the 16" shaft is also 16", which is too big for me. Evidently it is made especially for tucking pants into.

Fabulous!
This boot was perfect for me. I have large feet, 11C, and a charcot joint which swells occasionally, so needed for the shoe part to be roomy enough. It was. However, the calf of the boot was also large. Since my legs are skinny, I took them to a leather shop and had about 2 inches taken out of the calf. Have worn them many times and they have been comfortable from day one. I love them!

Comfy boot - but a little short on style -
I was excited to get these boots based upon the reviews. The calf area was too loose and made my legs look like trunks. They are going back. Zappos service was amazing, they even provided free next day delivery.

Just perfect!
I just got my new Santana’s delivered by UPS & they are just perfect. This is my second pair by Santana. I bought my first pair in 2001 & they took me through 5 cold, snowy winters here in Montana. They are starting to look a little worn but I can still wear them out to see the critters here on the ranch. Thank you Zappos for marketing these great boots!

I have a couple of Santana boots like the one in the advertisement. I have been wearing them since the year 2001. I'm still getting compliments on those boots. It's now time for a new black pair. I'm so glad to have found the site where I can order them. My feet always stayed dry, year after year. I only had the heels repaired one time. They finally needed new lifts. These are definitely worth the price.

Love my boots!
I had read the helpful reviews on the boots I liked and ordered 2 different pairs, which arrived in just a few days. The Diana by Santana is super soft with just the right heel height. I had ordered a half size up and am glad to have room for thicker socks or a padded insole. I thought the calves are wider than I would like, but they still look great with shorter skirts or pants.

The shoes are great looking and I needed a great looking, durable all-weather boot for the winter season. Unfortunately, though I take size 7-1/2 in most shoes, I have feet problems and if I'm buying on line, I order size 8. At the time I bought the shoes, size 8 was not available. Although the shoes fit and I love the way they look, when I've been on my feet a long time and my feet swell, they begin to hurt a bit. However, I think they are beginning to stretch. In general, I love Santana boots; they are great in bad weather, they always look good on, and the last forever!! This is a very popular style for this season in NY.

Comfort is most important for me. This boot looks really long on my foot probably because it felt about 1/2 size bigger than marked it also felt tight over the top of my foot and not much cushion in the sole. Nicely made, the leather feels so soft but the Bastien boots I ordered at the same time are much more comfortable so even though they are a bit clunky I will keep them instead.

Bad for those with big(ger) feet -
These boots are beautifully made, however, I have size 10 feet, and these boots made them seem extra big and long. It looked like I had feet larger than I do! Would probably look best on folks with a more average to small sized foot. Also, the sizing seems to run a little large - I had extra space in the length and I tripped twice during the day I wore them.

Looks & feels great, though just a bit clunky -
For the most part, I'm really happy with these boots, which fit my foot AND my legs very well (I wear a size 6, and often high boots are too tight in the legs for me).
The appearance of these boots is just a bit clunky, but in general, I can wear them with skirts or pants and they look great!

Too big, not supple -
This boot felt very large on my foot and ankle - to the point that I needed to send it back. Also, the leather is waterproof - which is great if you're looking for something for winter weather, but that meant that the leather was pretty stiff and didn't feel supple when it was on. I was really disappointed.

High quality, everyday boot-
High quality leather. Cute with short-ish skirts and pants (in or out). I've worn them for work and casual. Great in rain and cold weather. At first they felt a bit tight on my wide foot, but they stretched out after an hour. I have small to mid-sized calves and the boots are a bit wide and slouch down a bit around my ankle, but that allows me room to tuck in my pants. An overall great boot!

Oh, I'm SO disappointed these boots don't fit me properly. I've been looking for stylish, low boots to wear with skirts and pants in a size 11 for AGES, and these are beautifully made. However, the calf circumference turned out to be far too big for me (and I would say my calves are pretty average in size). So I'm sending them back, but so reluctantly!!

Boot is as pictured. It can be hard to find a good looking low heal boot. This is it! Shaft comes up just below knee and fits comfortably. If you are going to wear socks, you need at least the next half size. Leather is soft. Works well with pants or skirts. However, only guaranteed waterproof for one year.

Good Boot-
I bought this boot because it has the 3 things I most want in a boot: 1) lack of unnecessary features, 2) low heel, and 3) good reviews. I am satisfied; however I find the boot a tad tight through the ball of the foot. I'm hoping that will pass as I wear the boot in.
