Best sandals I've ever worn!
I live sandals whenever I'm not at work and have everything from traditional Teva’s, to Crocs, to West Marine boating flip flops. The Teva Halyards are by far the most comfortable sandals ever! Surprisingly supportive too (even more so than some of my shoes). The wide neoprene strap keeps them on close to your foot and the footbed is firm but very padded, especially in the heel, which is very important to me. The soles are non marking and non slip and provide good footing on wet fiberglass decks. The sandals dry quickly too which is very handy if you're a sailor. The only problem I've encountered is that I haven't touched any of my other sandals since I got these!

These shoes are awesome. This is the 3rd pair I've bought and I love them all. They feel great from the first time you put them on and just get better over time.

Great Feel - Great Service -
Great overall sandal!!! I love these!!! I purchased these to replace a pair of older Tevas that were stolen at the beach (note to self, be careful with these!!!). Much better than cheaper flip-flops. These sandals provide great support and comfort. I used to wear tennis shoes during the summer, now I wear these all the time. These also have a great grip on wet surfaces and seem to grip to your feet. I purchased from Zappos due to the return policy and since I could not try these on, they have the no cost shipping exchange. I would highly recommend these sandals and Zappos.

Great support for a thong -
Provides the arch support and heel cushioning I need. You don't get that in most thongs. I normally wear an 8 1/2, so I bought a 9 and they fit perfectly.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Teva Elixer 5, but buy next size down instead of up as in the Halyard.

Best boating flip-flop -
My first pair of Halyards lasted 4 1/2 years. These will certainly last as long. They provide great non-slip stability, no marks on the deck, and they have super soft soles that help absorb shock while running fast in the open ocean.

I recently used this shoe on a fishing trip in Costa Rica. We fished for 3 full days for marlin, tuna, and sailfish in 2 to 4 foot seas. It rained a couple of times and the shoe performed extremely well. Excellent traction and it held my foot in place when fighting fish under sometimes trying conditions. I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a "boat" sandal.

Teva Halyard -
It was 4 years ago that I first bought a pair of these that I still wear as my 'everyday' flops. They are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn so I just had to get another pair. I will use the new pair as a kind of 'dress' pair until the old ones wear out. The ability to use them on my boat makes them absolutely the best!

Comfort and style at its best -
Love 'em. Great for boating b/c they don't pick up any dirt and keep the boat clean. They dry quickly and they look good, too.

The BEST Flip Flop -
The Halyard is a comfortable sandal that is great on the boat and around the house. It has a non slip, non marking rubber that's great on all kinds of surfaces whether they're wet or dry. They clean up easy if they get dirty and they'll last a long time. One pair has lasted over 4 boating seasons on Lake St. Clair.

Alternative to sandals -
I haven't worn this flip-flop much yet, but decided to keep it because it fit so well and has lots of support for my flat feet. The strap that goes over the foot is set back farther than most flip-flops, so it fits tighter and doesn't "flip-flop".

Great shoe -
The Teva Halyard is one shoe I could not do without. I have two pairs and just bought a pair for my sister-in-law. It is great for boating, as it has a nonskid, non marking sole. It is not hot or sticky on the sole of your feet, even if it is really hot outside. It is true to size.

Great boat sandal -
I work on and charter a boat and have worn these sandals for the last year. They are holding up very well and have great grip when wet. After a while they begin to hold a smell but its nothing a little soap can’t handle. All around the best sandal I have ever worn.

I have been wearing Tevas almost from when they first came out ... I did camping expeditions all over the world for 15yrs...I am retired now living in Baja Mexico and these Halyards are perfect for wearing while fishing on my boat and being in and out of the water plus everyday use...the thing that makes them better than others are the draining vents all around the sandal...your foot dries faster...I also like the wider part that goes across the top of your foot...foot feels more secure with the wider strap (I don’t know what else to call it)/// I have a pair on right now and I just bought 2 more pair (on sale) I have 3 other pairs of different Tevas also---all are great...Lou.

Excellent boating shoe -
Bought these shoes for my husband. These Teva shoes live up to its name. The shoe is comfortable, great looking, and slip resistant. Best of all they won't stink by the end of the season.

After the "break-in period"...AWESOME!!!!!
I gave these 4 stars for comfort ONLY because they take a couple weeks to get "broken-in", like any pair of new shoes. Overall though....AWESOME!!! I love them and wear them everywhere! I did have to order the size 10 because they don't carry half sizes in these, but they fit great! Will buy again for sure when these wear out. For the money, I highly reccomend the TEVA HALYARD!!!

Review of Teva's Halyard -
I first bought a pair of these while we were in Palm Beach to wear on the boat. After wearing them for a few days I decided to go back and buy another pair. Boat US and West Marine stopped carrying these shoes. After arriving back home, I thought I would get on Zappos and see if they carried them. Sure enough, they had exactly what I needed. I bought two more pairs. I could keep one here at the house and another in Florida. The 3rd pair would be a backup when the others got old and nobody carries them anymore.

I love my new Tevas and I only could find them on Zappos.com. Teva.com did not have them in stock so I was able to get them before my cruise to the Carribbean.
