They are so 1990's punk and so rad -
My mother finally gave in to my whining and begging, and finally bought me these awesome boots. I’ve waiting four years for these. They are so 1990's punk and so rad. They are still stiff and require daily creaming and waxing to avoid blisters. The more you apply cream, the less stiff they become, which is a good fit.

Doc marten -
The shoe is a good shoe. The sole is not as comfortable as I remembered. I will try them out for a few months and hope they feel better.
Your customer service was a two when I called. It needs work.

I've always wanted them -
I always wanted these and everyone that had them said they are comfortable. I've had an issue breaking them in, they are a bit tough to wear at first, but the look of them overrides the blisters! Zappos gave great service, we ordered the wrong size at first and they shipped out new ones, no charge of course, and we had the new ones within 2 days. Fantastic customer service, will buy shoes through them from now on!

Eyelets wear out-
Dr Martens are overrated. Yes they are comfortable but not if you are on your feet all day. There’s no cushion support. The material used is better than most boots. The brass eyelets ware out before the sole or any other part of the boot. The problem with this is that the brass eyelets develop a sharp edge cutting the laces. Invest in a tool to replaces the eyelets and you will get twice the life out of your boots!!

Good boot -
This is my third pair of these boots in the past ten years. This time I wanted the cherry red ones. The color on Zappos was different than what I received. The ones I received were a lot darker red than I thought they would be. They look all right but I would have liked them a bit lighter. Otherwise the boot fit well and is comfortable.

11th pair of Docs -
I started buying Docs about 12 years ago. I’ve always worked retail or landscaping where tuff/non-skid footwear was required. I love 'em! i have Mary Jans, slip-ons, lace boots, loafers, lace shoes, Velcro shoes, zip-up boots. I wear 'em all. Comfort, style & durable. My present job requires steel toes so I bought the classic - same as the first pair I ever had sans the steel toe. Made the mistake of wearing too thin a sock and cut up my shins a bit - put 'em back on today (a week later) with a thick sock and they were great. Every pair I own is a size uk6/usa womens8. True fit. I think 7 pair were bought thru zappos - the best service! Need I say more??

My husband has worn this brand for over 10 years. He is on his 12th pair. These boots were an exchange for style #8761 that split in the center of the sole the first week my husband had them. So far, the #1919 series is holding up well and he has no complaints on the comfort, he loves this style. Although he wears them everyday while restoring old houses, we recommend both for street wear only -not rugged enough for a work boot unless you don't mind buying a new pair every 8-10 months as we do.

Doc Martins since MY MOM WAS A KID!
The first pair of Doc Martins I had were a pair belonging to my Mother when she was my age. She had several pairs that had not been worn more than once, and very quickly I wore them in. I loved them so much, nothing else brought me support and style so quickly. When my Mother's old pair began to fall apart I was in dire need of a new set. I got these in the black. They were perfect! They feel great and look brand new. I've had them for 2 years now and they hold together very nicely. Doc Martin boots are known for being orthepedic shoes, they are excellent for the back and arch of the foot. If you have weak calves or arch they hold together very nicely and support you wonderfully. I would recommend them to any person.

Well I finally broke down and bought some Docs. It took about 2 weeks to get them boken in properly and now they are spectacular. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

"Off-color"
I love Doc Martens' boots and decided on a whim that I needed a pair of red ones. I love the fit of these--a few days of "marinating" in Doc Marten's Wonder Shoe Balsam and they were ready to wear! However, I have to say that both the color name and the picture on the site were a little misleading: the color of my pair is closer to a deep maroon than to "cherry" red. I understand that the history of Doc Martens includes a period when skinhead gangs supposedly wore this color Doc because the dried blood of their victims wouldn't show up on the boots, and I can well believe it.

Great boots -
These boots are a great buy, they're very comfortable and don't leave blisters on my heels like other boots that I've owned before. They take a little while to break in but it's definetly worth. I've gotten rid of my sneakers for these boots because I can wear them everywhere and I love them.

My cherry steel-toe Docs kick-@$$.
The boots looked great. I added an insole, 'cos the Docs are always slightly too large for my foot. I wore them to work that night and suffered a couple of blisters around my ankles, but when I wore them again a couple of days later the boots felt good and broken in and they haven't rubbed blisters on me since. I've gotten lots of compliments on my boot.

Sexiest boots around -
They were a little bigger than expected, but not too bad. They are really great looking, but stiff as anything at first. Just break them in and you'll be good to go.

Why did I wait so long?
Love them to death. The fine hair cell needed no break-in (smooth leather is murderous). They are a little big but that's ok with a pair of gel insoles and odoreaters. They're super duper comfy.

I had a pair of these Docs as a teenager and I wore them religiously! My new ones are just as I remember them. They take a while to break in, and it can be painful.( Try wearing double socks) But once they're broken in, they're great. A classic look. Oi! Oi! Oi!

Great customer service, crappy foreign "boots"
The Chinese-manufactured DMs are vastly inferior to the originals; caused painful blisters and are no longer safety rated. Truly a shame, because I couldn't be happier with Zappos' service... who am I kidding, I'll probably buy from them again.

Best Boots I've ever had from the top name in shoes - Zappos -
I've had many different boots in my lifetime but these boots standout as the best. I've never received so many compliments on any footgear before. The girls love em(: Also they are extremely comfortable and solidly contstructed. So make a statement - the girls will definitely notice!
Zappos.com has excellent customer service. Their level of service should be the benchmark by which all other online and bricks and mortar stores are judged.

All others are poor imitations -
Great boots. Tough-looking, durable, and comfortable. This comfort comes at a price, however-plan on losing some skin from your achilles tendon and maybe your ankles while they break in. These are boots for which your feet must break-in as well. But, with a little patience (and a moderate pain threshold), you'll have a pair of boots that feel great, look great, and will last for a good long while (my last pair went almost five years of nearly daily use before I literally walked them off my feet).
Pay close attention to sizes when ordering--they go by U.K. sizing (U.K. men's 10=U.S. men's 11)

Love my docs! I've been wearing low top docs for a year, this is my first new pair of boots in about 5 years. Sizing runs a little large; I normally wear a 5.5 in docs, these are a 5 and fit perfectly. Also customer service line was extremely helpful and friendly.

I ordered these shoes and when I recieved them I found out that they were about a size too large. I called up Zappos, explained my situation, they sent out another pair, in a smaller size.

My son has liked these shoes for years and he says they are the best. This was his birthday gift and for the price and value you can't beat them. They last and last and he says they are the most comfortable shoe and boot he has ever worn.

 |  | I had an older version of an Asics shoe and was not sure what to buy, just knew I wanted one that was as comfortable for walking. Zappos has a number to call for help with sneakers. The person who helped me called Asics to find out what the newer version was so I would know what to order. Had my shoes the next day. Have yet to find service on the web that is as good as Zappos.
