Very pleased -
I bought two pairs of these boots - one for myself, one for my 7 year-old son. The men's boots cost about twice as much, and nobody knows by looking that his are women's boots.
Based on recommendations from previous reviewers, I bought the boots a half size larger than usual. We wore them for approximately half an hour to break them in when we got them, though I doubt it was necessary. Two days later it was on to the mountains, and a twelve mile hike.
The boots were great! The soles gripped when needed, and were waterproof. Best of all, no foot pain or blisters when the day was done. None, for either of us! Compared to other boots I looked at, the price was right, too.
I would definitely recommend these boots!

Very happy with hiking boots. They do run a half size small. I returned my first pair and the second ones fit perfect. I had no problem with the return. Would buy again from this company. Very comfortable and NO Blisters!!!

Nice Boot -
A little bulky, but over all very comfortable. Went hiking and river-rock climbing on first wear. Didn't slip once. I like they way they feel and they're cushiony enough.

It could be a little lighter or a little cuter, but then it might not be as supportive or protective. Not a bad shoe at all!

Another great Zappos purchase!
I wore these for the first time yesterday on a 5.5 mile hike in ice, snow, and mud. They keep my feet warm and dry, and they were super comfortable to boot! (No pun intended.) I was concerned about blisters since I wasn't able to break them in, but my worries were completely unfounded. The Razor Ridge is a great hiking boot for the novice-casual hiker! And as always, Zappos completely rocks with their speedy free delivery and excellent customer service! A+!

For the price, they are great -
Lacks a little in the support department and are slippery on wet and snowy surfaces. They run true to size.

The first time I wore my amazing Columbia Razor Ridge boots, I wore them on a 3 hour hike. They are amazingly comfortable and true to size. Best boots ever!

The only problem I had was at the ankles and I have to wear thick socks, but I think that is me and not the boot.

It's rare that shoes would be so comfortable right out of the box- especially hiking boots! These definitely were and I'm glad that I read the other reviews and got a size larger than I normally wear. That was some good advice! I recommend these boots for beginner hikers!

A great summer-weight boot -
This is my second pair of Columbia boots and I find I really like it for urban hiking and overall use on open, mostly level terrain. It is comfortable, cool and gives good support. I wear orthotics and get a good fit with them, all day comfort and good looks.

Great Shoe!!!
I got these shoes for a trip last Christmas. I walked all over Europe for two weeks in the winter and my feet stayed very dry and comfortable. From heavy snow to narrow steep roads, these shoes did everything I needed. They've also become a wonderful every day shoe. I do recommend wearing socks with them if you're walking for long distances. Also get them a half size up. That seems to be the most comfortable if you want to be able to wear socks or go barefoot.

Easy Stride -
I started going on hikes a month ago ranging from anywhere from 6-10 miles. The tongue took couple days to get used too but once it was broken in I had no problems with my long hikes. A gel insole was inserted for added comfort and extra arch support. Best of all...No blisters!!! A big plus.

I bought these shoes for a trip and didn't have time to break them in, but that wasn't even a problem. They are comfortable and durable. I wore them on a worksite and they held up extremely well. I also wore them hiking and liked the way they fit. I think that they are a great shoe for the price although if you're looking for something lightweight these probably aren't for you.

I read the reviews on the sizing and glad I did. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger and when I got them, they still felt very snug but I gave them a day of wear and they conformed to my foot so nicely that I wear these every day to work, walk in the park at lunchtime, and go hiking in them on the weekend.

Columbia's Razor Ridge Mid II -
Bought these for daughter, first hike out today, 4+ miles and comfort all the way. Loose rock, mud, wet leaves and rock, all went well, no slipping, blisters or complaints of any sort. Boots seem to run small, had to exchange but that is what is cool about Zappos.
Seemingly good boot for the price, seen better but not in this range. We’ll see how it holds up with extended use.

I really like this shoe...took it on vacation with me and was able to wear it for hours without a break-in period. My only frustration was the sizing. I had to return it twice to get the right size. But, Zappos was really quick in sending out new pairs.

GREAT SHOES -
I have a chronic problem with my big toe which makes finding the right shoe rather difficult. I had tried on the Columbia shoes at a sporting good store but they did not have my size so I ordered it at Zappos.com. These shoes are soft, comfortable, and the seem very durable. I have only had them for about three weeks, and I wear them on my weekend hikes. I told my sister (who I hike with) about them and she bought a pair too. She finds the cuff of the shoe to be a little hard to get used to. But she loves her Columbia shoes. They really are fantastic and well worth the price.
