Shoe has bugs -
We've been Vans' customers for many years. They don't hold up especially well, but they're stylish, comfortable, and (normally) easy on and off. This particular shoe, however, (the "Buginn"), which I bought for both of my sons, was very difficult to get on and rubbed in the heel. They've changed the construction somehow and neither of my kids want to wear them.

My six year old son loves these shoes, as he does all the Vans I order from this site. Zappos has the most selection I've ever seen, the price is reasonable and how can you possibly beat having them the next day with no extra charge?!

almost impossible to get on -
I ordered these for my three and a half year old son and we both loved the way they looked when we took them out of the box; however, it was a struggle to get them on. We did manage, but it seemed to get even more difficult the two or three times after his initial wearing. I eventually had them stretched after he refused to wear them because it hurt so much when we tried to jam them on his feet. The stretching helped, but it unfortunately tore a bit of the canvas. Maybe his feet are just too wide. I'm not sure, but after all of the initial torture, he's not that into them. Bummer.

Super Cool!! But Super BIG!!
Spider and skull slip ons - My son (4 1/2) wears a 13 in lace up Vans, I bought a 12 1/2 in the spider web Vans and they are way too big so I ordered a 12 in the skull ones and they are still too big. They are super cool and we are keeping them anyway but I was hoping he could wear these w/out socks this summer and I don’t think that’s happening. He loves them and all Vans since they keep him looking hip w.out wearing Spiderman and race cars on his shoes.

Great kids shoes -
My son loves his Vans. We ordered two pairs because he goes through shoes so fast. They are easy for him to slip on and off. He's three and a half, too young to know how to tie his shoes. He won’t wear anything else now. That's OK with me since I think he looks great in them.

Easy on, Easy to go. I bought these a size up so they are not as snug as they will be after the next growth spurt. My kid loved the styling and they make getting out of the door in the morning easier. I wish I had had something as cool as a kid.

Kids Pirate Vans -
My 6 year old LOVES these shoes. I like he can slip them on himself and they're really cute. He wears them without socks and they've never bothered him--no "breaking in." It took us 3 tries though to get the right size--good thing shipping and returns are free. Order at least a 1/2 size small--a whole size if wearing without socks.

Waaaay too big -
For some reason these shoes are huge. They appear to be at least one full size larger than labeled. I think they may also be wide. They look really cool, but don't fit. Instead of returning them, I decided to keep them until my son grew in to them. I now regret this decision. Looks like we'll be waiting a year at least.

Order smaller size than you wear -
My son loved the green bug shoes so we ordered an 11 which he normally wears. They were huge. Zappos wonderful customer service sent me out a 10 1/2 before my others had even gotten back to them. We thought they would work, but again, too big. So I later ordered a 10 from the infant/toddler sizing. This seemed to work, but it was still slipping off of his heel. Apparently they just don't fit his foot correctly, but we know lots of kids that wear them and love them. Thanks Zappos for all the great help with trying to get his size right. I will definitely be ordering other shoes.

Fits a ladies foot too.
This shoe is very comfortable and fits an adult's size 5 women's wide width very well. So anyone looking for a pattern not found in the adults, if you have a smaller foot, the size 3 is perfect.

Love our Vans!
I bought the rocket Vans for my 4 year old and the spider Vans for my 5 year old. These shoes are awesome. My boys don't want to wear anything else and get tons of compliments on these shoes. We found that they run big - I returned 2 pairs of shoes to find that my boys needed a whole size smaller than they normally wear. However, with Zappos' one-day shipping and easy returns, we had the correct sizes in no time.

My son is a size 10.5 shoe...I think the shoe ran pretty true to size in the smaller sizes, but this year it was way off. So just watch the size change after size 9 or so. Love Vans!

Really fab skaters!
I couldn't find skater shoes for my boyfriend's 6 yr. old son where I live. He is an avid skater just like his dad and nothing makes him happier than to be able to wear comfortable shoes while skating. He loves the shoes and has even started practicing his tricks more.

These shoes are awesome!
I purchased these Vans for my five year old son. I showed him the pictures of all the Vans slip-ons available and he picked out the "red bug" ones. They are just too cool looking. I love that you don't see these ones in stores. I bought a 12 at first, but they were too big (as everyone had stated in their reviews), Zappos was great and just sent me out an 11 1/2 the very next day - AWESOME!! They are still a little bit too big, but my son will grow into them very quickly I'm sure.

Love the pirate Vans...

My son Loves these shoes. He wears them all the time. I guess they are the most comfortable shoe he has. Also easy to slip on and off.

Great shoe for kids -
I was looking for a slip-on shoe for my son and he saw the "flames" version and just loved it. Seems very comfortable and my son (who is 4) can easily get it on and off himself.

My son loves the shoes, he wears them everyday to school. I am so glad Vans Co. decided to use prints for the smaller size children. These little people deserve to have cool, out of the ordinary gym shoes too. Thank you Zappo's for selling them and having them in stock.

Not only that, but these Clark shoes must be the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased.
