I always wanted a pair of Doc Marten 1460s since I was in middle school. Unfortunately, my mother did not share in this dream, and my boots never materialized. \r\n\r\nThen I ran into a striking woman during NY\'s Fashion Week this past September, and she had on a pair of patent leather 1460s in black and from that moment on, I knew I absolutely had to have them. Fortunately, my very sweet boyfriend was kind enough to purchase these for me. \r\n\r\nAs for the look, they are absolutely amazing! I throw them on with denim shorts, layered t-shirts and I\'m out the door. My legs look amazing in them and I don\'t know, there\'s just something about wearing 1460s that gives you a ton of confidence. I also love the fact that they are patent leather and not plain leather. It makes them a bit more unusual and unique. I\'ve already gotten quite a few looks because of them. \r\n\r\nNow, as for the fit: I\'m an 8.5/9 depending on the company and a solid 40 in European brands and a UK 7. I went with a size 9 in these and am very pleased. My feet don\'t look big and there\'s a solid amount of toe room with socks on. My ONLY issue was with the stitching that joins the tongue to the shoe itself, on the inside of the boot that hits to top of my right foot -- well that hurt for at least the first few wears. But not that they are finally broken in, I wear them with zero problems. Apart from that, they are unbelievably comfortable and relatively lightweight. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase and highly recommend them to anyone considering them. Worth every penny!

These boots look okay from a distance, but the leather is flimsy. They\'re like a representation of boots. I\'d never tried Dr. Martens before, but they were all around New York in the 1980\'s and looked to be of good quality then. They must have tried to cut back on manufacturing costs in more recent years. I plan to return these boots. This is no criticism of Zappos; they have the friendliest, most professional customer service division anywhere, and I plan to continue shopping with them.

The perfect fit, no break in period, comfortable as can be! The leather was very very supple, which worries me a little since I remember my older Dr. Martens feeling a little more sturdy and actually needing a break in period, but, hey, if I can wear it everyday and feel like I'm walking on air, what's there to complain about, right?

This is a fun boot. I too found the fit to be really roomy which works for me since I can wear thick, warm socks. I am a size 8.5 and found the European 6 to be like wearing a US 9 with bare feet. I got the black and silver pair and have had compliments on them. They are pretty darn cool! I stand on cement for 6.5 hours at my job and although these boots don't have arch support, they are cushy enough with the thick socks. I am never in pain at end of shift. As usual Zappos, you rock! You provide great customer service. I always look forward to buying from you.

Great Shoe, Great Brand -
Dr. Martens are already infamous for being fabulous so when I finally decided to get a pair to add to my wardrobe, I wasn't nervous at all, LOL. I just got them today, they feel wonderful on, although the breaking in process is blah, but I can tell in a few days they will be hugging my feet just right! No problems or complaints at all, except I would like to note (just in case anyone else has wacky eyes) I bought the green pair. In the picture they seemed to be along the lines of a turquoise green, but they are actually more of a kelly green. I love them all the same, but just wanted to clarify in case anyone else thought they were turquoise like I did! And Zappos, zappos, zappos... only my second purchase but this place is MAGNIFICENT! I really think most companies don't understand how wonderful customer service can improve your site to the FULLEST… most sites except for Zappos that is!

Love 'em. I ordered my boots on Friday and I received them today (Monday). They are so cute and I love 'em so much. I usually wear a size 7, but I got these in a size 6 because I didn't want them to look too big on my feet. They are so comfortable. They are still a little stiff because I just got them today, but when I break 'em in, they will be alright. But overall, these Doc Martens look great! Definitely purchase them!

I love my floral Doc Marten's. They were immediately comfortable and have gotten even better as they soften. I use them on my Vespa, and have gotten numerous compliments on them. As for Zappos: Great service. Even greater prices. Can't believe the return policy, including shipping. I almost wish I didn't love my Doc's so I could try it. You can't lose.

I love, love, love Dr. Martens and I am so happy with the classics! They are a little tight when you first put them on but once they are broken in they feel divine! I love the raised flowers on this pair, they are very dainty and come with a tag that says they are a lady and they don't like to get dirty! I normally wear an 8.5 shoe but I got an 8, they do run a little big it seems! One more note, Zappos.com is phenomenal. The shopping is easy and the customer service CAN NOT be beat! I am a Zappos.com shopper for life! Thanks to all of you for every fabulous shopping experience!

I love these floral boots! They are beautiful and fit well. I had to add padded insoles to make them more comfortable. Takes a bit to break them in, but well worth it! I would love to have one in every design!

These boots are amazingly comfortable right off the bat but the greatest thing about this purchase is the service at Zappos.com...I ordered several pairs of boots and shoes that did not fit me and the free shipping makes it possible for me to shop from the comfort of my home and at times that fit perfectly into my schedule. This is my fourth purchase from Zappos.com and as usual the experience was a pleasure.

Best purchase after being skeptical for so long!
I'm so glad I scored the last pair of these beauties! At first, I thought they were going to look like clown shoes (I'm a big heel person, so for me to invest in a pair of Docs was a pretty big jump!) -- they are a little roomy, but just the perfect amount for any foot type. I never want to take these off. They are more comfortable than any sneaker, houseslipper or sock. My only complaint is they do squeak a bit during the break in period and they make your feet sweat. Versatile, comfort, and excellent quality. Will gladly buy another pair!

Happy camper!!
I simply love my new pink (patent) boots. They are even nicer looking than I imagined. They feel very comfortable and the tone of pink is easy to match with other colors. I wear them a lot and have lots of nice comments. All I have to say is that I am a happy camper!!! Ciao for now!

I really do like how these shoes fit and look. I was planning on using these boots as work boots, so far its working out fine, but I can tell that these boots are not as sturdy as other work boots I have worn in the past. But they are very stylish, and overall I like them

They are so comfy! I wore them after a 12 mile run, my legs hurt but they were like slippers! I would buy these again.

This is a great boot! Looks good and is a classic.
I bought them originally to ride my dirt-bike in, but have found myself wearing them quite a bit more than that. I have always wanted a pair of Doc Marten boots. I had a pair of the Mary Jane's when I was in high school and they lasted for many years.
The leather was very soft and not as stiff as I had thought they would be hard to break in, but they weren't hard to break in at all.
I also must add that Zappos is as always the best when it comes to super fast shipping. I have always received my orders the very next day. As a matter of fact, I ordered a pair of flip-flops at 10pm last night and tracked them a moment ago and they are expected later today... Way to go Zappos!!!

How can you order a pair of hard-to-find shoes and have them at your doorstep the next afternoon? Shop Zappos! I am always tickled with the service and quality Zappos delivers. My daughter loves these shoes...they're the exact one's Miku, the lead singer of J-rock sensation An Cafe' wears, so of course that makes them all the more fabulous for her!

I had written a review shortly after I received my boots, telling how great they were & how much I loved them...Well after today I have to send another review...These boots are SOOOO AWESOME!!! I have worn them all day & have gone non stop shopping for a particular item I needed to find & was running out of time...I walked very fast thru stores & a mall...usually under circumstances like this my feet are killing me. But not today! By the time I got home I was still energized and NO tired or achy feet! I am still amazed at how great these boots feel! I will miss not being able to wear them when spring comes :(

 |  | My first experience with Zappos.com was during the winter a few years ago when I needed a pair of silver sandals to wear during the holidays. I saw Zappos.com advertised at the airport and thought to see what they were about. The rest is history. During that search for sandals I had as many as nine pairs here to try. They came the day after I ordered them via FedEx and those I didn't choose (I ended up with two pairs) I put back in the box, taped it shut, attached the prepared return label they had enclosed with the shipment, and dropped them off at the packaging store that same day. They were gone almost as easily as walking away from a pile of tried on rejects in the department store! Since then I use them more than 70% of the time when I am shoe shopping. There really isn't anything quite like trying on shoes with the clothes in my closet as well as trying for fit and comfort. It's an ideal way to buy shoes and I highly recommend it!
