Very comfortable boot, great fit, high quality. Bought to wear to football games and in snow/ice during very cold weather. They are waterproof and insulated. The black is not pure black, but a softer dark charcoal color. My size in normal everyday shoes/loafers/pumps is a 7M. With thick winter socks and a foot warmer pad, I need an 8 1/2 in these - tried the 8 and it was a tad snug in the toe box for winter wear. I don\'t think you can find a more comfortable winter boot than the Merrells in this price range. Tried a similar North Face boot and there is no comparison on quality, fit and comfort. Fantastic value for the price.

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
