Brilliant! I agonized over choosing a backpack for ages, and then the Big Student won out. I just bought it last week. I'm a grad student with 2 part time jobs, a long commute and no fixed desk space, so I end up lugging a lot of gear around. I've just packed up mine for the coming days, and it fits everything! I even have room for my lunch and gym gear. It has lots of pockets, which is great for staying organized, and my favorite feature, mesh bottle pocket on the side. It's quite comfortable too, and its feels lighter than I thought it would considering how much stuff I have in there. The straps could be softer, but I guess with frequent use they will soften up. Also, it is quite a large bag, so maybe not suited for people with narrow shoulders or small frames, but for me, it's perfect.

Best back pack for carrying it all.
My daughter has been using this Jansport model for years, and it's nice they keep coming up with new patterns and colors. It's the only pack to hold books, laptop. Lunch and all of the other incidental kids seem to need these days. Plus, this backpack is indestructible! Highly recommended.

Slot for water bottle is a great feature! Excellent backpack, like the water bottle slot on the side and the increased selection of "fabric" patterns.

This roomy, stylish backpack holds all my daughters books, lunch box, and any other items she needs to take to school. Jansport has all the cool patterns to select from!

I ordered this bag for my daughter in 6th grade for her birthday. She loved it and so did all of her friends. The bag is of good quality and design and is big enough to carry all of her books. You definitely need this size rather than the regular size to accommodate the increased book load.

Jansport Big Student Backpack -
I purchased this backpack for my niece in Carolina Blue. She absolutely loved it. It was a very nice size for all her books, but also very trendy. I was so happy to have ordered this backpack Tuesday and received it Wednesday morning with free shipping. I would positively use this site again.

Shocker Pink - Big Disappointment -
I was so excited to get this bag because of how much it holds. When I first opened the box I thought there was a mistake and they sent me the wrong color, but after checking the zipper colors I realized it is the shocker pink... The pictures are NOT AT ALL accurate - it's about 10 shades darker. The straps are VERY stiff and the fabric is VERY ROUGH! Beware to use this at all with a tank top on!

A BIG bag with plenty of room for all that you carry with you. I use mine for taking stuff to and from work, everything from lunch (assorted containers) to file folders, car keys, meds, phone charger, glasses, cds, etc.. There are several compartments, all with good space where you don't have things smashed into the items stored in the compartment next to it. Well made as is every Jansport bag, the zippers have pulls to grab on to, the back straps need to be adjusted to your preference (after that they are fine). Overall a great bag. The only thing that I would suggest is a larger assortment of colors to choose from. Unbelievable quality service from Zappos, delivery was next day FOR FREE!!!! They've got a business model that works and guarantees a repeat customer.

It's what my daughter wanted!
I ordered this backpack for my daughter because it had everything she wanted--lots of zippered pockets, and lots of space for her books. She loves it. It looks great and it serves her needs. The material does not seem quite as sturdy as my other daughter's backpack from another company. But as long as it lasts a few years, I am happy.

BIG backpack fits BIG binders -
I bought this for my 11-year-old 6th grade son who has to carry 3 BIG binders (plus occasional books, plus snacks, etc.) to and from school every day. Remarkably it not only fits all his stuff, but it also neatly fits into his locker. The bag is squared off, which makes it more efficient. The straps need to be "broken in" a bit, hence the drop to 4 stars for comfort. The bag looks reasonably "cool" so we don't have the nerdy-bag-blues.

My daughter chose this bag because of the color and her friends have one similar. It holds everything needed for school. It has plenty of room and is comfortable even when heavy.

A student's ideal backpack!
I purchased a Jansport Big Student backpack for my granddaughter. She is thrilled to have space for all the things she needs to carry to and from school every day. The two large compartments are ideal, as she can even carry her gymnastics clothes in the backpack, and no longer needs to carry an extra gym bag. With all the other pockets and space, this is an ideal backpack for any student. I was also very pleased with the fast delivery and great customer service from Zappos.

I ordered this bag for my 7th grader, and she just loves it! The bag has plenty of room for a couple 3-ring binders and some books, pencil bag, etc. on the inside, not to mention the other zippered sections. And the color scheme with the skulls is so "in" right now that it's perfect! Oh, and don't forget the super fast shipping one can always expect from Zappos!

Great for travel -
I used it as a carry-on on my flight to Europe and it held all the things I needed for the long trip (plus all those last minute things that didn't fit in my suitcase) and it stowed itself neatly under the seat so I had access to my stuff during the flight. It was heavy but the padded shoulder straps made it very comfortable to carry. I was very pleased.

Love all the pockets and the color; hate the stiff straps -
I just love this backpack, which I use as a purse-substitute. It's got great functionality - the number and size of all the pockets is terrific. The color (lavender) is luscious and the gray trim just right. My only complaint is the unyielding (so far) stiffness of the straps - there has to be a better way!
