My forefoot is slightly wider than Medium, with a narrow heel, high arch, and toes that taper. Size 8.5 M (B) fits my foot well. There was one glitch. When the tongue slipped to the side slightly, even with laces through the leather loop on top of the tongue, the top of my arch got pinched. I used a different method of lacing the shoes, which keeps the tongue from slipping so much, and that solved the problem. The padded insoles are a wonderful plus for my tender foot which is recovering from a broken bone. For a person who normally avoids lace-up shoes altogether, these shoes are a real find. The shoes are close-fitting; I wear them with my usual trouser socks.

I love these shoes. From the first moment I put them on, till the minute I take them off, they feel good on my really painful feet. I cannot tell you the last time I bought a pair of shoes that felt this good on right from the start. I take a wide, and these are "wide enough" for my bunions. I have had ankle reconstruction on both my ankles, twice, and they don't rub on the scars, or hurt the ankles at all. I won't hesitate one minute to buy another pair when I need them. Best buy I've made in a long time!

Not a supportive, or well cushioned shoe. If you have any issues with feet or ankles (I have a few), this is not the shoe. The shoes also came with plastic inserts that cut my hand. The toes are crunched, but my heel is falling out the back.

Overall, pretty pleased. I'm enjoying the look of these shoes, but be warned because, although they are true to size, they are narrow feeling. I wear a WW, my normal size in Softspots, and I was concerned that they would actually fit. They did, but they are very close to the skin. These aren't shoes made for thick, warm socks, unless you happen to have narrow feet. On the upside, I love that they are not bulky looking and feeling, and they seem comfortable to walk around in.
