I love these shoes. I have wide feet and they fit me well even though they are a medium width. They are very comfortable and I plan to wear them on a trip where we will be walking a lot. The shoes are lightweight, but sturdy. Love 'em.

Order 1/2 size larger than normal if you have a wide foot. I loved these shoes. With no break-in period at all, I wore them for 10 days straight during a trip to Isreal. They served me well and still look great. Keen makes excellent shoes!

This is my fifth pair of Keens, which I wear for everything except dressing up! These are the most comfortable sport sandals on the planet!

Very comfortable, did not require breaking in, even with running. I'm normally a size 7 and the reviews say it feels half a size too small, so I got a 7.5, which was too big. I returned it for a size 7, which was still a little bit too big, but comfortable enough. Because this is an open shoe, my feet tend to get dirty and smelly, but the shoe is easy to clean.

The Keens are fantastic! I have "foot issues" which prevented me from doing my long walks with the dog. These shoes are comfortable and pain-free! I highly recommend!

This is my first pair of rugged-type sandals. The Keen (Venice) sandal fit great the minute I put it on. Having read other reviews of this sandal, I bought it because it ran wider than the other Keen rugged-type sandals. It is wider and fits perfectly. Give yourself a day of walking indoors before you decide that you love them (although they feel much better outdoors on the pavement, path, or sand). Be sure to adjust the fit during your test day with the simple bungee configuration. I adjusted the cord on each shoe several times to get my perfect fit. If the arch feels right, I can almost guarantee that you will get the shoe feeling "right" very quickly. I tried on a size 8 and a 9 locally, and just knew the 8.5 size would fit. Would have shopped locally, but they made it sound like a rather complicated effort to order this shoe in a half-size, in the color I wanted, just for me, as summer is winding down. I would have felt bad if for some reason I did not buy them after they came in. So I ordered what I needed from Zappos with a generous return policy. I wouldn't have to listen to a salesperson pout and worry that they would be "stuck with the shoes" if I did not like them. The Sagey color is nice, a tad lighter green than I expected. I thought maybe it would be more of a dark olive color. However, the color is neutral enough to look nice with any colors and it does not have the harshness of a big black shoe. (I know, it is a bit crazy to think "fashion" when you are putting on a shoe as crazy rugged as this shoe.) I really did purchase this shoe because of a planned trip to the Galapagos Islands; however, I use mine as a walking shoe now. It feels so good and gives so much needed support. The well-packaged box came in two days with a simple, but great return policy and all of the paperwork needed. This was a great shopping experience.

These shoes are great. I did have to wear socks with them for two days as one of the straps irritated my foot in a peculiar way, but now they\'re perfect and I wouldn\'t give them up for anything! I had them splashing around in a fountain yesterday and they were immediately comfortable to wear away from the water. None of the sploshing or slipping like regular sandals would do. I walked home in them wet and they were still completely comfortable.

Born with "flat as boards feet" comfortable, reliable footwear has always been a huge challenge. A co-worker told me about Keens. Skeptical, I tried on a pair at a local sports shop and was very surprised. On my feet 10 hours each working day, requires a shoe that can hold its own, Keens more than meet my exacting requirements! Comfort and style, what a bargain! Even better when my next pair came from Zappos, no shipping fees! Fast, professional service! Just what I desire from a company! Thanks!

I bought these for a trip to Israel and they served me very well. I have a small but very wide foot with a high arch. They morphed to my feet. Although they are heavy shoes, they kept me going from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, etc. Love them!

As others have said, these shoes are comfortable from the first time you slip them on and remain comfortable over hours of walking time - no break in period required. I did experience a little chafing from one of the straps on the outside of my foot right at first, but when I adjusted the width of the shoe with the stretchy lacing that goes down the top of the foot, that fixed it. I bought the normal size I buy for all my shoes and it fits perfectly. I have high arches and would have loved a little more arch support but that is my only complaint, and it's a minor one. I have used Tevas in the past for hiking sandals and had terrible problems with them for blisters and chafing at the heels and toes - based on my first few weeks of using the Keens I have every expectation that my feet will fare much better in these over the long haul.

Fantastic! Zappos never fails to amaze me! Saw this shoe about two weeks ago but was out of stock in my size. A few days later I received an e-mail from Zappos that it was back in stock. I ordered at the regular shipping and Zappos upgraded to next day and my new shoes were here in 36 hours. I said if everyone had service as great as this, it would be a perfect world. The shoe is excellent, better looking in person and has a stretch quality that make them so comfortable. Because of the stretch, they work well if your feet swell in heat or just from a long day. When your feet shrink they return to that size. For this reason they would work well with narrower feet also since Keen is good if your feet tend to be on the wide side as mine are. Excellent quality! Got many compliments. I wore them 12 hours the first day with no discomfort at all. I ordered a 7 1/2. I normally wear a 7-7 1/2. With Keens I always order 7 1/2 for a perfect fit. Keen is great and Zappos is great! Thank you!

Awesome shoes. I love my Keens. I do film work and sometimes am on my feet for 16 hours (really). My feet do not hurt when I wear these shoes. They are so supportive and comfy. Sometimes I use them as running shoes. And they're also water shoes. I traipsed up a slippery waterfall in Dominica wearing them. I'm between an 8 1/2 or 9 and the 9 fits perfect. They're not sexy, but aside from that they are the best shoes ever!

These sandals have turned out to be just the ticket for living in a big city where it rains during the warm season. So many sandals get ruined by rain or puddles, and yet it's too warm to wear anything else in summer. No more worries with these sturdy, comfortable, waterproof sandals. And, the Venice style in the dark red/rust color is, in my view, getting closer to what someone living in a city might want in a sandal. Be warned that Keens tend to run a 1/2 size small. They tell you this in shoe stores.

I love my first pair of Keens Venice. Going to Hawaii to visit son in Navy and want a great all-around shoe. Tried the Newport, but it didn't fit my foot so tried the Venice and I love it. Very comfortable, no break-in period. Good support, good looking, tough but soft. I wear 7.5 - 8 and the 8 is perfect. I will buy more! Love Zappos service and quick shipping! Thanks! (and it's free)

Wore these on a walking tour of Rome, Venice, and the small hilltowns of Tuscany. . . as promised, not blisters, and no "breaking in" period needed. That said, there is not a lot of foot-bed support and the result is feet that while protected from above -- and sides -- felt pretty worn by the end of the day.\r\nMy solution was to alternate with my Chaco sandals which have amazing cushy and cloud-like footbeds -- but Chacos have straps that can feel irritating after a few hours. There was no irritation, chafing or rubbing with these Keens.\r\nThey were cool even during the hottest afternoons. They stayed secure even on cobble-stoned hikes upwards. They were fine on nature trails. But boy, the bottom of my foot felt like it could have used some support by the end of the day.\r\nIn an ideal world both these manufacturers could learn a lesson from each other. Wish there was a hybrid of the two Keen + Merrell.\r\nBottom line:\r\nI am glad I bought these.\r\n I feel they are worth the price. Even after my trip I find myself wearing the Keens in circumstances where I would have worn either flip-flops or merrells (which are not made the same now that they have Wolverine ownership.)\r\nOn the airplane I slipped some socks on when no one was looking and they managed to feel comfortable. Not too tight.\r\nAs other participants have mentioned, these do run small. I am an extremely wide 10 and I ordered a 10 1/2 and it was a nice fit.

First, let me say that I am a huge Keen fan. This is the 6th pair of Keen shoes I have purchased. I wanted something for the summer that would give me the great Keen support, but still be breezy. (During a recent trip to Vermont it seemed that everyone had a variation of these shoes, so of course as soon as I could get to a computer, I ordered a pair.) They are great fitting, comfortable; not exactly a sandal, but the next best thing.

I guess I am the odd one out - I really did not like these at all - I ordered them expecting to love them. I have wide feet if anything, yet the normal size just floats around my toes. When I walk around it felt like wearing clown shoes. The length of the shoe is perfect, on the other hand.

I knew they were right as soon as I put them on! I seem to do best with the "classic" Keen style. I took note from other reviews and did order a half size larger, which was perfect. My only gripe about Keen shoes are that all my Keens (I own 5) are different styles and different sizes.

 | | You people are the greatest! I do not for the life of me know how you do this stuff. Is it true that you have many, many little happy elves out there in your location outside Las Vegas? I hear they work 24/7 and love every minute of it; but that some have to take time off at Xmas to head for the Pole! Oh well I'm sure you get subs. Thank all of them for me!
