These are the second pair of Keens I've ordered. Both feel pretty close to advertised size, erring on the slightly larger side. The toe-box is nicely wide and doesn't compress the toes at all. Arch support is very comfortable, and the inserts are removable if you don't like them. The break-in period is short, and they're fairly comfortable while they're being broken in. I have some chronic foot pain due to some old injuries and got the Keens because of the toe box and recommendations about the general comfortableness of the brand, and so far they've completely lived up to their reputation.

These shoes are great right out of the box. This is my second pair of Keens. They wear and really protect your toes. I have another pair of slip-ons; they were cool, but too big. This time, I got the right size! I could wear these all day. Hope they hold up in the rain!

Better looking than I expected -
I love my several pairs of Keen sandals and one previous shoe pair. I think that these shoes look better than my previous pair and are ALMOST OK for semi-professional work attire. I don't understand why Keen doesn't make a few pairs without the big black toe, as it makes the shoe look a bit too much like a hiking boot to wear to work.

Great shoe for feet like mine -
The Keen Richmond has a similar feel to the other Keens I tried on at a local store. The generous (square-ish) toe box is perfect for the way my feet are shaped, which is much more comfortable than wedging them into a "normal" shoe shape. My orthotics work excellently with these shoes, easily making them the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The arch support without the orthotics I found to be a little lacking, but I have somewhat high arches. The waterproof outer has proven itself many times already in the month and a half that I've had them. Great shoes!

Great shoe but order down in size -
Very comfortable typical Keen lace-up. This is my fourth pair of Keens and this one definitely runs larger than the others I've had. The 8.5 I got feels like at least a 9.

Keens wins again -
I need shoes with a stiff sole, due to foot surgery. I live in Keens, and while not all fit great (some seem a little tight around the ankle), by and large they are the most comfortable shoes around for me. I must own at least six pairs.

Odd-looking comfort -
Really like these shoes... my wife has purchased Keens many times, but I kept going for the boring old-time “tennis shoe” look. I finally gave in... and am glad I did. Comfortable and good-looking, better looking than even I am. Only one semi-negative comment... took a little breaking in, i.e. the tongue of the shoe was a little stiff the first week or so, but now the tongue is softer and therefore better. I was completely confused about what size to order as some Keen owners I know said order a 1/2 size smaller than usual, others said 1/2 size larger. I ordered my usual size and they are fine. And, anyway, the return policy is so good, who cares? (My Keens did not accommodate my orthotics, but comfortable w/o them.)

Most AWESOME brand of shoes I've EVER WORN!
I've NEVER worn as comfortable a shoe as Keen brand footwear. They're too good to be true. I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but as soon as I get comfortable with this brand I KNOW they're going to do something to screw it up. So I'm going to buy as many Keen models as I can - before I wake up from this dream state.

Excellent casual shoe - I find the wide toe box to be comfortable, though it may be uncomfortably wide for some. Overall fit and quality are excellent. I will buy Keens again.

Pretty good shoe -
My wife had been urging me to try Keen shoes, she loves them, so I ordered these to try. The support is good - not great, but good. They feel a tad larger than standard size; fully laced they're not quite as snug as most shoes in my size - not loose enough to justify getting a smaller size, but less than ideal.
They also pinch a bit at the top when going down stairs, but I expect that will go away as they break in. All in all, worth keeping, but I'm not as blown away as my wife is with hers.

Room for your toes -
I need a roomy toe box to accommodate my crooked little toes. Keen shoes are designed that way. These were a great fit right out of the box. Also, this is a great water resistant shoe for the daily afternoon thunderstorms of a summer in New Orleans!

I was looking for a shoe that did it all - for work, casual, long pants, shorts, good tread, waterproof - and the Richmond by Keen is all of that and more. My wife has a few different pairs of Keen shoes and I was always jealous of the style, quality and comfort. I looked around in stores for men’s Keen shoes, but always mostly women’s styles on the shelf. Looked through Zappos and found the Richmond style and gave it a try - best shoe I've ever tried.

I almost want to buy a few back-up pairs.
This is one of the most comfortable shoes I've owned, right out of the box. The tongue rubbed my instep wrong for the first few weeks, but broke in easily, and they've given me no other trouble. The toe box is large, but I don't experience it as clunky or unwieldy like some others have said. I can walk in them all day, trail or street, and feel great doing it.

Happy Feet!
My husband has a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable with ankle support, wide toes, and good support. I talked him into getting these shoes and he is VERY happy with them. He hasn't rolled his ankles once since wearing them and they are dressy enough for him to wear to the office. They are comfortable and can take the weather he runs into walking to public transportation. I am looking forward to getting him another pair.

I have wide hard fit feet and these are the most comfortable shoes I've had in a long time. No break in time perfect out of the box. A tad funny looking side but who cares they feel great! Excellent shoes!

They feel great. I have trouble finding shoes that feel comfortable, but these are right on. Zappos rules, I ordered the shoes yesterday and got them today.

Keens are the best -
I currently own 3 pairs of Keens and my husband has 2 pairs. Several people in my office have also been converted to "Keen" shoes. The comfort is unbeatable.
I love Zappos. When they say overnight shipping, it's true. When I ordered this pair for my husband it was just before noon. The next day just before noon the shoes were sitting at my front porch!

Shoes are very comfortable. For me the fit is true to size. I ordered black. It shows dirt easily. I will keep an eye out for other Keen shoes. When they make a dress shoe I will buy it.

Great looking shoes...true to size -
I'm a big KEEN® fan, this is my fourth pair. The shoes are a little dressier than my other purchases, which is what I wanted. The distinctive toe styling is muted a little for this shoe; it did feel a little large. Most of the other KEEN shoes were sized a little small. This one must be about right (I usually ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal for a perfect fit).

Amazingly comfortable -
These are absolutely THE MOST COMFORTABLE shoes I've purchased in at least the last ten years. I've been a regular purchaser of Rockports and Clark's for most of that time, and they're still great shoes, but these shoes fit like gloves. I got them about a week ago, and haven't worn anything else since. The toe box is roomy without being too roomy and the heel cup holds my heels in place without any slipping.
Although they're a bit clunky, I even talked my fashion-maven wife (the "Imelda Marcos of the Pacific NW") into buying a pair for herself.
If I could rate these higher than five stars for comfort, I would.
