I have been wearing Keen Newports for about 3 years. I stand when I work and this is the only shoe I can wear for more then an hour. The Trail is the same shoe except it is enclosed. Zappos upgraded the shipping for free and had the shoes to me the very next day; I was blown away. I have ordered Keens from Zappos before and have always been happy with the customer service. Zappos is great and I love my Keen Newport Trail.

Best shoes ever! I work 80 hours M-F and every shoe I ever tried fell apart or hurt my feet. These are the best ever, and there's no breaking them in.

I bought these for my husband. He loves them! His feet are very wide, 4E, and it\'s difficult to find shoes that fit him. They are also very durable. He\'s rough on his shoes since he works outdoors most of the time. I definitely recommend the Keen Newport.

Very comfortable with excellent arch support. Even in the hottest weather my feet were never warm in this shoe. My favorite new light hiker.

Longer break-in time than most Keens -
I now own seven pairs of Keens (all from Zappos.com!), so I'm already a believer. I've been spoiled since all my Keens have needed virtually no breaking-in time. The Newport Trail, however, are still hurting my ankle a bit after a few days of wear. The footbed is just as comfy as you would expect from Keen, and I can go a whole day without the soles of my feet even noticing. I'm sure after a few more wears, my Newport Trails will join my six other pairs of Keens in absolute comfort!

Kewl Keen Shoes -
These are what I have come to expect from Keen. They fit, they will wear well. The larger toe box is a better choice that a Merrell or Solomon.

Good as Gold -
I needed a waterproof boot that was comfortable, looked good and would wear well. Zappos has such a large selection it took me some time to choose, but I'm very pleased with the choice of Keen's Newport Trail. It meets all my needs. Having in a previous order some years ago had to return the shoe for size, I was concerned that this time I would have the same problem. So, I was very pleased that the Keen fit perfectly (size 10) right from the box. I will continue to use Zappos for my shoe needs.

Comfort Right Out of the Box -
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he has been wearing them ever since I gave them to him. I thought that he would just wear them for hiking but he likes them so much that he wears them every day. I got him one-half size larger than usual. He says they get better every day!

I was skeptical about ordering online. Now, this is the only site I will order from. I placed my order on Wednesday and I got my jeans the very next day!! I love them. They are so comfortable.

My husband had the open sandal type Keens and loved them He has wide feet and these fit him perfectly. When we saw the closed style, he wanted them as well but the place we saw them only had 9's--his usual size, and they were a little snug. We ordered the 9 1/2's from Zappos, got them two days later, and he couldn't be happier with the shoes or the service!

Its good walking trail shoes. I like the shoes because in toe area have enough space to feel comfortable and not squeezed.

Comfy and versatile -
As a guy with squat and slightly mismatched feet, it is all about boots/shoes that lace down to the toe like this one; very adjustable. These were instantly comfortable, no breaking in at all. They have a lot of support and a lot of cushioning. They do not breathe much though, and may be kinda hot in the summer. Overall, very good, (nearly) all-year-round boots. Zappos was much slower than usual with this order; it took TWO WHOLE DAYS for these to arrive! Heh heh.

Great durable and comfy shoe!
I've had mine now since September 2007 and they are still my favorite day hiking shoe. I have hiked all sorts of terrain from the wet forest of Olympic National Park in October to Red Rock Canyon in Nevada and then back to the granite hills of the Texas Hill Country. The shoes are still holding up just fine with only a minor bit of tread wear. The waterproofing performed very well in Olympic during a few days of hiking in the rain sloshing through creeks and river beds. The just get more comfortable the older and more worn in they get. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a comfy and durable day hiking shoe. I'm about 6'2" and 245lbs so they can clearly take a beating. Just ordered a pair of Targhee II mids for some added ankle support along longer more technical hikes in Glacier National Park and Banff this summer.

This is one of the most comfortable, best performing shoes I have ever owned. No break in period needed, sturdy, supportive, light boot. I liked this boot so much I bought a second pair to rotate with the first because I wear it all the time. It accommodates my orthotics.

Like Pillows!
After three attempts, I finally found the right size. It was worth the effort. The laces are a bit wacko, kinda backwards, but once you’re strapped in, these Keens are wonderful! Light, stable, and oh so cushiony. Not sure that they breathe so well, then again… my feet don't stink.

I have back and knee issues, so finding good shoes is often a problem. I ordered five pairs before I found these. They're incredibly comfortable. I wear them everywhere, walk all day, etc. These do not seem to run big, as people have said about other Keens. Thank you Zappos -- the service is outstanding.

If you like the sandal, you'll like the shoe.
Comfortable out of the box, which is once you get the size right. I love the sandal version, which was a true fit to my size, however, the shoe I needed an extra 1/2 size larger. It is a waterproof shoe that looks like a sandal and feels like a sneaker! Like it a lot.

This shoe is very comfortable. I have not had a pair more comfortable ever! It's kind of funny looking but I don't care about that. Cause it's all about comfort for me.
I have a pair of Keen sandals and at the end of the day they are the only thing I can wear that doesn't hurt my feet. So I thought I would try a shoe that resembled their sandals.

My first pair of Keens after owning several North Face. Keens are comfortable right out of the box, smart look. Zappos is service is great. I'd recommend these and looking for my next pair of Keens.

I walk quite a bit in the city and this is a very comfortable shoe for that. It is raining or snowing often and the shoes meet the challenge exceptionally well.
I wouldn't recommend this shoe if you are wearing them indoors for a long period of time. My feet get very warm while indoors.
Overall great buy for the price.

I hade these a few weeks now and wear them at least 3 days a week. I've had two other pairs of Keens and I've always liked their fit. Wide at the toes with a generous toe box. This pairs fits truer to size than the other Keens I've had and tried on. I'm a size 12 and the 12 in this model fit perfect. Better and larger than the Keen Targhee II which I have had over a year. These appear to be as rugged as the other Keens I have, meaning that they are very rugged for a casual day hiker/Lowtop hiker type of shoe/boot. Not as stiff as a hiking boot but very good support. Waterproof which is always good.
Keens are always a good buy when you figure out what fits.
And Zappos free return shipping was, as with all of my Zappos order, Awesome. I set 3 different pairs of other brands of shoes back for various reasons and it always went without a hitch. Bravo Zappos.
