I\'ve been searching for a long time for a good shoe for high impact aerobics classes. Most manufacturers seem to focus on running shoes and don\'t make high quality shoes for training. Nike seems overpriced for what you\'re getting--very low quality, low comfort. I bought this pair and the Ryka Studio D. The Ryka Studio D doesn\'t offer much support and is not great for high impact aerobics; they are reasonable shoes for dance-like classes like Zumba and Jazzercise. In contrast, the Studio Flex has much more cushioning, is lighter, and overall a very comfortable fit. Whereas on comparable Nikes, my heel tends to slip, they get plenty of support and do not move in the Ryka Studio Flex. I\'m really pleased with this shoe and will stick with it for a long time.

Very comfortable, but supportive enough for my aerobics class. And so lightweight! I never buy black shoes, but my exercise clothes are mostly charcoal and gray, and these shoes look good with them.

These shoes are perfect for Jazzercise. The exercise routines are chock full of lateral movements, jumping, quick turns, and balance. They are supportive and have a generous amount of cushion in the footbed. I have mild arthritis in my big toe joints, but these shoes allow me to exercise as hard as I want without experiencing pain, which has not been true of other athletic shoes. In 6 months or so I\'ll have to replace them for use in exercise classes, but I will still be able to enjoy wearing this pair of shoes with my jeans! As for looks, I\'ve gotten many compliments from other Jazzercisers!

Starting Zumba, I found regular aerobic shoes to be too sticky and did not allow sliding. I tried several shoes, and this was far and above the best. Feels like a good aerobic shoe, fits like a glove and makes me feel like dancing! Perfect shoe.

I workout 4-5 days a week in a high impact exercise class and I bought these shoes after my knee started to hurt during my workouts. I love them. They are lightweight, so comfortable and add a lot of support. I would definitely recommend them. They do run true to size if not a little bigger. Oh, and they are cute in pink.

I chose this shoe based on reviews here at Zappos. I purchased my first pair of Rykas almost 15 years ago and they were a full size bigger than my regular shoe size. Thanks to helpful reviews, I ordered the Studio Flex only a half size larger. I was worried that the shoe would be too wide for me since so many reviewers were happy with the way the shoe fit their wide feet (I have more narrow feet). Well, the size was right on. I love these shoes! They fit so well all around my foot. I don't know how they can feel so roomy, but yet my foot doesn't slide around the way they do in my Nike Shox. I intended to continue to wear my Shox for strength training and the Rykas for studio classes, but the Rykas feel so much better. I may not ever wear those Shox again! The Rykas are lightweight and very breathable. I had replaced the insoles in the Nikes with Spenco insoles, but have not done so with the Rykas, haven't needed to. I exercise at the gym 5 days a week, doing cardio 3 times a week. I have worn these Rykas in BodyStep, BodyAttack, BodyCombat, and RPM classes, and as of recently, the weight room. The shoes feel like they are a part of my foot. They're great and I am so pleased. I'm considering ordering another pair! Ordering from Zappos gives me peace of mind to try out shoes, knowing I can keep trying until I find what works for me. I got lucky this time on the first try, thanks to so many helpful reviewers. I hope this review helps someone else.

I love these shoes! I had been wearing regular running shoes for step, spin, weight classes, and was having terrible shin splints. Immediately after switching to this shoe the shin splints stopped. They provide lots of support and are very comfortable. They are not the best looking shoe, but I will sacrifice style for comfort!

I'm an aerobics instructor so I need a great studio shoe with lateral support and good cushioning in the forefoot. These shoes are the best I've found. I ordered my actual size and they are big enough to accommodate my orthotics. Also, these shoes have a wide toe box which is really comfortable. There is no rubbing on the sides of my toes! The white ones are kind of cute in their own funky way.

I love these shoes! Actually, I knew I would ahead of time with these, because I had previously purchased the mid version of this shoe and loved them. I would highly recommend either shoe to someone who does a lot of high impact aerobics such as step or kickbox (my favorites). The mids might be just a tad better for their lateral support, but I love them both. Thanks again to Zappos for your great service!

I bought this shoe for aerobic and plyometric classes. It does a fine job, but not nearly as cushioned as I'd hoped in the front foot area. Very lightweight shoe, so it doesn't tire the feet. But instead of the bottom of my foot hurting, now the top of my foot hurts. Basically a good shoe, but I'll keep hunting for the one that suits my feet better. Good points for the shoe is that it fit me true to size with a roomy toe box and nice fitting heel.

Overall, I love these sneakers. I use them for aerobics and elliptical machine work. The only downside I have found is that when they are brand new, they are too stiff in the ankle area, so when you move laterally during aerobic work you are aware that the shoe rubs your ankles. Not horrible, but noticeable. Otherwise very comfy and bouncy.

Unlike most Ryka's these shoes run true to size. I teach Jazzercise and use them all of the time. They have a great sole for the numerous pivots/twists that we do because it's smooth and doesn't stick to the floor like traditional shoes. They also are made of a breathable mesh which keeps my feet from getting so hot. Great shoes!

These shoes are great! There is plenty of room in the toe box, which I typically have trouble with. There is plenty of cushion throughout the shoe. One word of advice: I normally have to go up a 1/2 size for athletic shoes. I purchased these in a 9 1/2, and my foot slides around a bit. A 9 (my street shoe size) would probably fit better, but because I like the shoes so much, I decided to keep the 9 1/2. I might purchase a second pair in a size 9.

I read the reviews on these sneakers before purchasing them. In more than one instance, the people said they ran large to order a half size larger. I did, and they ended up too large. I kept them anyway, they are very light weight and seem to give a barefoot feeling, not as much support as I am used to in a sneaker because I usually purchase running shoes. I will be using them in my Zumba class and for walking the dog. I do like the way they feel and they way they look.

I use these for the elliptical trainer, weights and other toning workouts. They are so comfortable - I love that they have solid support for my arches and my foot doesn't slide around, and also that they are flexible enough to allow me to use the machines and jump around. My workouts have actually gotten easier since I've gotten these shoes. I would buy them again!

I do high impact intense interval step-aerobics 2 to 4 times a week. I had been wearing my running shoes, but decided I needed to go a more sport specific when I noticed the balls of my feet were sore. So far so good. They are very good looking and feminine (I got the white). The front of the shoe seems to be bit wider, which is nice for going up and down on the step. I didn't realize the difference the lateral support would make. I just feel like they're supporting me in the step-routines. They are also lightweight and well-cushioned, but not to the point where you're squishing around in the shoe. They were comfortable out of the box. Overall a very good find for aerobics shoes.

I ordered these shoes for various step aerobics classes and other classes at the gym. My knees were bothering me when I wore my other athletic shoes. I have been thrilled with the comfort, fit, support, light weight, and also the appearance of these shoes. My feet are somewhat wide at the front and narrow at the heel, which makes these shoes perfect for me. I can twist and turn in them and still have all the support I need so that I don\'t injure myself. I am also extraordinarily pleased with Zappos excellent customer service. Thanks for a great product and a great company.

Love this shoe. I am an aerobic instructor and my shoes are my most important piece of equipment. These have great support and cushion. They are comfortable right out of the box. Ryka makes shoes for women with a wider forefront. Highly recommend the Studio Flex. I have 2 pair. The Low Studio in pink/white and black mid/high. I plan to purchase another pair.
