My first "cowboy boot". I didn't want the "narrow toe" variety of boot, so I went with this one (I subsequently also got the Heritage Roper boot from Ariat). Ariat makes lightweight and durable boots. Following the advice of others, I sized down a 1/2 size (I wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered a size 8). Perfect fit. If you clean these boots up, you can wear them out on the town. Otherwise, they are perfect all-around boots for working in the yard, etc. The soft leather uppers are a great feature (they are called "Bomber Leather" in their marketing literature), and I wish they offered that option on their other styles of boots. Very highly recommended for first-time boot buyers, since they look great, have excellent comfort, and are extremely affordable.

I was a little underwhelmed by this boot. I have worn everything from Durango to Lucchese for over a decade now, so I have picked up a thing or two on what makes a good boot. The fit of this boot is either slightly narrow or not quite a half size too large. Order a half size smaller than you would normally in boots and expect some break in time. It is a strange fit. No complaints about the look/style. The uppers are a little flimsy for my taste being more coat leather than boot leather. Based on this boot, I will not be purchasing another pair of Ariat. Zappos, of course, was stellar.

The Ariat Rambler is a very good boot. The quality and looks are very exceptional. This boot's sole is of very high quality, and I plan on getting many years of use from this particular boot. One should take in to consideration that they run a little bit big, maybe a half size.

Well made, comfortable boots, top quality materials and construction. Nice styling and details. They do run a little large. I'm a size 13.5 (which no one makes) so these were a perfect fit. The look is classic, cool and sexy.

This is the first pair of boots of this style I have ever owned. They are comfortable. I walked around Epcot at Disney World in them for about 6 hours one evening with no complaints (and they weren't even broken in yet). Just make sure you buy them a size smaller than normal. They might be a little snug at first but they are going to stretch considerably.

Good Summer Boots.
These boots are awesome. They ARE sized a little funky. Not exactly big or small...Just kind of an odd shape. I think it’s the toe box. (There's a lot of room in there) I wear a size 11, so I bought an 11 and they fit just fine. They are nice and lightweight. I'm going to wear these all summer.

Really awesome look and comfort!!!
I love the look, the fact that they are so comfortable, and the way they look with boot cut jeans. The only thing bad I can say is that it really does run a half size bigger. I wear a size 10 sneaker but would have been better off getting a 9 1/2, but they still fit wonderfully!!!

I love the worn-out look. Absolutely great with jeans and yes, my friends want to "steal" them! I must add this was my first order from Zappos. Do you guys live on next block? My order arrived in a flash :) keep up the good work.

Like the boots, they do run about a full size big though. I bought a half size small, but they're still a bit big. Uppers are a little lighter in color than the pictures had indicated, but they still look great.

Good looking boot -
Boots look great with your favorite old jeans. It’s hard to figure out how to size them. I ordered a full size smaller than normal and it was still a little loose in the toe. I’m going to the shoe shop to see what to do about this. The sole works great. Comfortable and functional with the non-slip tracks on bottom.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Justin Roper - way more perfect fit.

I love my Timbuk2 bag. I ride my bike to work and the medium bag is perfect for all my stuff (change of clothes, my lunch, toiletries, towel and a few other items). It sits very comfortably on my back, even when it is packed to the brim.

Pretty good boot all in all. I went a half size down from my normal size (from a 10.5 to a 10) and they fit alright. The brown color on the upper portion of the boot doesn't look as dark as in the online pics, but the boot still looks sharp.

I bought the Rambler about 3 weeks ago and had absolutely no problem with the fit that others have referred to. That isn’t to say that it's not there, I may just have an in-between foot regarding size. What impressed me was the service at Zappos. I ordered my boots on a Sunday afternoon and was wearing them on the following Tuesday. That's right 2 days later. I didn’t request any special delivery, just got regular shipping. Zappos upgraded me for whatever reason and needles to say, I was happy as a pig in, well no need to finish that cliché. Man, I look good in these boots! Thanks, Zappos.

Great boots!
These boots look great and are very comfortable. The sizing is really weird though - I first ordered 9-1/2 D - my standard size - and struggled to get it on my right foot and I could not even get my left foot down into it. I exchanged for 10-EEE's and, although initially snug, they've adjusted to the shape of my feet and are quite comfortable. A nice cross between a Western and a work boot.

Love the boots, but they are sized strange. I wear a 14 in tennis shoe but I have almost too much room in a 12 EE in this boot.

Excellent boot! Great look! One thought to remember. These boots are not true to the size. I usually wear an 11 EE. Not the case here. Make sure to order a 1/2 size smaller in this Rambler. If not you'll be disappointed when they arrive. I guess I wear a 10.5 EE.

These boots are a great stylish boot that aren’t "cowboy" boots and aren’t a skinny "ski slope boot." They do run 1 full size small and are fairly narrow, I am on the bubble of needing a narrow or wide but these for sure I need a wide.

At first I was concerned that the boots were a little tight (mostly on the top of my left foot), but after wearing them for about 9 hours, they feel great, and love the look. Best boots I have ever purchased.

My husband absolutely loves these boots. The leather is so supple and the look is hip. He finds them true to size and very comfortable.

The Ariat Rambler does fit about 1 shoe size smaller than what I normally wear. They are breaking in nicely. The instep was a bit tight, but they are breaking in.
