No cushioning -
These are really cute shoes. Very well constructed and made. The problem I found is there is no cushioning in them. They would be like walink on the floor bare footed.

We love the style of these shoes, and they are very comfortable. The sole is a little bit stiff. They run really small. At least a half-size small, or maybe even a whole size small. Be sure to order a size up!

My daughter wears these shoes as part of her school uniform and has received many compliments. I was worried that they might hurt her feet at first because the leather is stiff, but I made sure she wore them with thick socks and she was fine. The shoe has held up great, and I love that it has a buckle instead of velcro, which tends to wear out quickly. I think, though, that they tend to run small as I initially bought a size 11 (my daughter's current size), but had to exchange it for the next size up. Now she has some room to grow and I'm hopeful that these shoes will hold up for the entire school year. Well worth the cost!

Great everyday shoe!
I bought these for my granddaughter in red (actually this is the second pair - she outgrew the others) and they are a great everyday shoe. Even though she practically lived in them everyday - the quality is so good, she will be handing them down to her sister. She received a lot of compliments too and a lot people inquiring about where we got them.

The old fashioned look...
This is my daughter's 7th pair of navy blue Asters. The first 4 were much higher quality as now I believe they are made in Mexico and you can really tell that the shoe (which is the same price) is more flimsy. The stitching always comes out and they have to go to the shoemaker at least twice during their lifetime (before my daughter grows out of them). She does wear them every day as part of her uniform. The alternative is buying the ugly velcro shoes and this is such a classy look.

Little White School Shoes -
My daughter has to wear all white shoes with a rubber sole with her uniform. I was happy to find the traditional "girlie" shoes. I used white tennis shoes but they did not have the look I wanted for my Pre-Kinder. I kept searching and at Zappos I could end my search. The ordering was easy and the shoes arrived in decent time.

We love these shoes - Wonderful shoes. I purchased these for my daughter. I did have to exchange these once though. I ordered them in her regular size and they were way too small. When I ordered the size up from her normal size, they fit fine with plenty of room. We are very happy with these shoes and will order more as needed. Great quality!

Love the aster -
Aster shoes are classic and beautiful, which is almost impossible to find in today's market. As the size gets past 30, they do seem to get a little wider, so if your child has a narrow foot or heel, the fit may be tricky, but you can always use a little thicker sock or insole. I would get a pair in every color if I could! I wish they came in Navy patent leather.

These shoes are adorable and very practical for school. Unfortunately my daughter has a narrow foot and I can't find a pair she doesn't walk right out of. They seem to run a little big and are too wide in the heel.

This shoe is beautiful, comfortable and well made. I purchased a pair in navy to go with my daughter's school uniform. She loves them! They are a bit expensive but they are worth it.

LOVE Aster shoes!
My daughter loves her shoes, no blisters, softened right up (They are a tad bit costly for a 6 year old but I refuse to put cheaply made shoes on my baby’s feet). I am hoping they hold up as long as it takes for her to grow out of them. I have purchased Aster shoes in the past for her but she has such a rotation of shoes I hardly saw wear on them. These are her uniform shoes this year and she will wear them almost every day...they will certainly be put to the test! Thank you Aster and Zappos for carrying this shoe brand!!

Very well made, looks like it will last the school year. My daughter loves them. We purchased after stride rite stop carrying their t-strap maryjane. We are very happy to find Aster who is still making classic, quality shoes.

The BEST shoes! My daughters have worn Aster shoes since they were infants. We buy several colors in this style every year. My youngest daughter often inherits her older sister's shoes and these hold up so well and are in perfect condition even after they are handed down!

Love this shoe -
This is the classic girls shoe; my daughter wore for Easter, White House events, and other special occasions. They run a bit big overall, but she can wear thicker tights or socks with them- they hold up extremely well. This is our third pair. Have bought white and navy.

Cute little shoe!
Love these Asters - we ordered them in dusty pink, so sweet and goes with so much (pink, navy, brown, jeans, etc). Love the traditional little girl look. This is the second pair I've bought in the pink - my daughter calls them her "school" shoes. They do scuff a bit and it is hard to find pink shoe polish, but the lighter colors do not show scuff marks as much.

We are fans of Aster. I wore Aster shoes when I was a kid! They are well built with real leather and they fit perfectly my two year old feet.
It is a classic model which can be worn with everything! As soon as my daughter had them on, she wanted to go for a walk and even ran with them! It is an excellent price for the quality offered!

Great summer casual/dress shoe -
Great summer casual/dress shoe for our 12-year-old. She can wear these as a casual sandal or with socks for a dressier look for Sunday school. She says they are comfortable and I like the strap for the fit and support. We like the Aster line for the age appropriate look hard to fine for a pre-teen.

I've never had this problem with Aster before but the strap on these shoes is way too short. Very strange problem. Beware!

I bought this shoe to go with everything and for its quality. It is a bit heavy, but my daughter seemed to feel more comfortable with the fit as she wore it.

There are lil' bugs here and there (sometimes narrowing a search doesn't totally work, but for the most part it does), but comparing you folks to some other nightmarish sites I've used, especially with the sheer amount of product you have for me to see...well done. 3. Convenience. HOLY CONVENIENCE, BATMAN! Much like Ian McKaye of the band Fugazi, I am a patient boy, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait. But when I order from you I don't have to. I've had shoes get to me so fast I actually thought there must have been a mistake because it got to me TOO quickly. Guys, that is some serious service. This is why I buy shoes exclusively from you. 4. Customer Service. I had a store credit recently, but like an idiot, I deleted the email with the credit code. I called up and talked to a totally friendly, funny, helpful guy. He said he'd take care of emailing me the code and all would be right with the world. OH NOES! The email, actually never showed up. So I called back and spoke with a totally friendly, funny, helpful girl (with a completely pretty voice, I'll be honest) and she got me a coupon code while I was on the phone (THAT'S good turnaround) and explained that there were the dreaded *technical difficulties* and the other dude didn't actually screw up. Guys, I've never talked to a company on the phone and ended with such a good feeling. I have friends that I don't enjoy talking to on the phone that much. Close friends. Is it ok if I just call to talk sometime? I'm kidding. Maybe. 5. You ALL seem to have a sense of humor. You guys are frakkin' funny! Your email, any of the “dig deeper” sort of stuff (blogs, joke of the day, etc.). That is beyond refreshing, thank you so much :) Honestly, as long as you guys are around, you got my bidness.
